Peonypaw is even smaller than a typical WindClanner, and with those long limbs and slender face, his tunneler rank comes as no surprise. His thinness occasionally gives him a rather eerie apprentice - like he hasn't been eating for the past few days, and whenever his beige fur gets dirtier from spending time in the dark and unforgiving tunnels running underneath the moorlands, he can appear like something out of a horror movie.
In sharp contrast to his younger self, he more so drags himself across camp than actually walks. He hunches, neck lowered and head craned out like a very curious turtle, and his shoulder blades jut out from behind his short cheek fur. Peonypaw almost always looks tense and ready for something to strike, and he must be ready to retaliate at a moment's notice in turn too. He only ever straightens his spine when the situation calls for a more... appealing look. Otherwise why bother?
Piercing blue eyes stand out from his almost muddy-colored fur, given a boost by the darker rings around them. They're perhaps his most prominent trait, always watching and always thinking, but never giving anything away when he doesn't want to.
His right foreleg is scarred, thin and cascading scratches left behind by Addervenom's vicious fangs.

Peonypaw is the by-product of the adults around him, and given the state WindClan has consistently been in thanks to being led by Sootstar, he's been soaking up the negative easier than the positive - though the certainly no lack of the latter.
Upon first glance, Peonypaw is a calm tom. He doesn't fuss, he does his duties like he doesn't have to think about them, he takes what the day throws at him with a clear mind. Some might even consider him a little too emotionless even with that stoic face of his that is almost always wearing a frown.
Of course, the rumors are not true; Peonypaw indeed has feelings, he is just great at concealing them, sometimes even from himself. He is a private cat who rarely indulges in the act of revealing what's in his heart, although he is not one to shy away from someone who is truly curious.
— Loyalty to Sootstar as his leader has reached a new height and he considers her his role model. She is something consistent in his life whereas so many other things have been fleeting, and he believes he can trust her completely.
— His faith in StarClan has wavered greatly; while he accepts that they're real, he cannot forgive them for taking his family away.
— Although he is not one to pick random fights, Peonypaw is quicker to dish out a nasty comment than in the past. There is little fear in him about the consequences for simply speaking his mind. -

Bitter and unforgiving frost was not the only thing WindClan had to try and defend itself against during its first leaf-bare; the sickness outbreak that would grow to be called greencough spread fast, and with little herbs or medicinal knowledge to help, the fate of the ill was undetermined. Peonykit lost both his parents quick, barely giving him any time at all to even get to know the pair that brought him into this world. He only had his two siblings tethering him to a sense of belonging, and with Sootstar promoting kits to apprentices as early as three moons old, young Peonykit gained what was a blessing in disguise.
