ADDERSNAP — I. STAINED GLASS EYES & COLORFUL TEARS
entitled and close—minded, unmotivated and selfish. will always have his own intentions in mind, wanting the best for his own gain with no knowledge or understanding that he may be hurting others. likes attention and will manipulate the feelings of others in order to make himself feel better, often acting higher than he should be regarded as. a previous self—conscious apprentice turned recent warrior, he wants to be better than he is and often pushes himself past his limits. blames his parents for his disinterest in succeeding and holds a deep resentment for them, doesn't keep contact with most of his family.

  • addersnap, named for his strikingly similar appearance to the venomous snake, is a twelve month old warrior residing in thunderclan. he is a cisgender male, and uses he/him pronouns. he is demisexual, and struggles to make friendships with any of his clanmates due to his abrasive tone. born in greenleaf, he ages every moon on the twenty-ninth & will not change in age unless for plot reasons. he was formerly mentored by lead warrior leafhusk, and by mossywing. the latter lied to howlingstar for his reason to retire to the elder's den early in order to not have to train the stubborn boy any longer. loyal to thunderclan and certain individuals, feels no connection with his family in the current moment and rather defend those who have been at his side. new warrior uncomfortable in his rank, feeling exposed and pitiful but determined to prove himself worthy.
  • ref. addersnap's appearance well explains the name that was gifted to him. an adder-like stripe begins at his head and twists down his spine to his tail-tip, umber colors fill his tabby-patterned pelt gracefully. his dark stripes are jagged in motion on his fur, wrapping around his legs and tail while allowing slight tan exposure to show in rings. his fur is long, well—kept and curly around his cheeks, neck and tail. his ears display little tufts, and white covers his eyelids similar to eyeshadow, making his sunlit—colored hues gleam brighter with the highlight. chin and left front paw display the same pale colorization, but his paw—pads however are black in comparison. blue jay feathers glisten in between the brown depths of his tail, a memorial for his younger self who he felt had to grow too soon.

    although unusually small for most of his young life, lanky limbs now sprawl around with a forced confidence to replace the awkward gait he held during his apprenticeship. mannerisms include shortening words to make his speech easier (i.e. using "ya" instead of "you" or "yeah" / "'m" instead of "i'm"), encountering stutters or difficulty pronouncing words, a tendency to mumble most of his words, and dragging his claws into the dirt or grinding teeth if nervous or uncomfortable. not very expressive, usually carries a neutral look accompanied by a subtle frown. his voice is smooth, a little more higher pitched yet monotone.
