"They haven't beeen 'round here," Magnolia mutters, pressing out of some well-maintained hedges of a Twoleg's garden. The blue cat had been watching the flame colored molly wander about near the fringes of the clan's territory for some time. It was only once the scene became pitiful when Magnolia emerges cautiously with her dilapidated ears lowered submissively. Now Magnolia really would not want to get into a scuffle with one of the cats who train all their lives and so she errs on the side of caution, sidling up to red tabby and pausing a tail length or two away.

"A lilac tabby with a scar over their eye," she recites, tipping her broad head inquisitively. "I've been keeping an eye out... but I've just not seen anyone with that description." The large she-cat falls back on her haunches and continues to scrutinize the molly, which she realizes may be around the same age. She also has a similar face scar and a similar build. Already, Magnolia likes this cat; the tabby not only looks a live flame but also real tough, which Magnolia can really appreciate. "Loca... it can be pretty dangerous around these parts..." Magnolia puffs her chest out and emphasizes, "Alone, that is."

Magnolia rises and backs away, looking over their shoulder at the crowded scenery of Twoleg nests. "We could look around together, if you'd like... it's safer to travel in pairs. There's been some odd... rogues 'round here..." She mews her spiel excitedly before trailing off, realizing this all may be too much at once for a stranger. Oh my... I really am lonely...

⟡᪥° @BLAZINGHEART !!

𓆩✦𓆪 — Blazingheart follows after the longhaired blue molly as her ears angle forward to listen to the words that slip from her jaws and can't help the frown that pulls at her own mouth. A part of her beginning to wonder if her searching is becoming fruitless and if she'd never find her littermate that had been taken away by twolegs. She still doesn't know why the daylight warriors stick around those hairless giants that took away just because they could and her tail lashes behind her in frustration... To dedicate one's life for twolegs and then Skyclan seems like an alien subject to her but only since she knows that she'd outright panic if any human tried to pick her up with their nasty paws. Magnolia recites the description that Blazingheart had given the other and her heart drops hearing that she hadn't seen anyone matching that description, a huff slips from the red tabby as she settles down beside the other and her tail thumps against the ground in frustration.

"Loca... it can be pretty dangerous around these parts... alone, that is."

"Loca..." She tests it on her tongue as she repeats the word then tilts her helm to the side as she asks with a half-amused grin, "What the hell does that mean? Loca? It's fun to say and rolls off the tongue nice... loca... loooca... loooocaaa." A soft hum leaves her though she pauses completely to regard the rest of what Magnolia says to her and she nods in agreement, right, they were in the twolegplace and she's pretty far from home. She makes a mental note of keeping that fun word that she could use frequently if it wasn't anything bad, her whiskers twitch noticing how the blue molly rises once more and backs away saying that they could look together since it's much safer to travel in pairs. The mention of rogues cause the fur along her spine to rise with alarm but she clears her throat and licks her chest once to hide her discomfort, Blazingheart rises to her paws without hesitation.

"Yeah, we can look together! That way we can uhm... keep each other safe..." She agrees meeting the gaze of Magnolia and can't help but feel the tips of her ears burn, oh wow, she hadn't realized how bright the other's eyes are. It takes a heartbeat for her to realize that her own eyes had lingering for too long, an awkward sniff leaves her, and she tilts her large helm away with a stupid grin on her maw "Ah right... lead the way, loca." The red tabby motions a paw for the other to continue and of course, Blazingheart wouldn't be far behind... Her eyes cast a quick glance over towards the fence that could take her home but she's a warrior now! She has freedom and she would take advantage of that... Hopefully, Hawkspine and her mama wouldn't worry too much about her absence.

The young cat has taken many pilgrimages through the Twolegplace and and around the forest territories twice before, these journeys allowed Magnolia to meet some real nice folks.... but more often than not some real mean ones. Those who are kind enough to Magnolia would entertain her with some much needed conversation she'd reminisce about for days on end after departing their company. Words like 'loca' are just one of the many things she's picked up from strangers and it sounds a lot less cruel than many of the other words she's been taught. Though she's not quite of its meaning. Hearing the fire-touched molly repeat it brings a smile to Magnolia's face. "It's a nice word, innit? It means friend." Magnolia doesn't let her smile falter as she thinks with panic, Or did that stranger say it meant 'crazy?' Well shit... she's definitely not crazy.

'Keep each other safe...' Magnolia nods assuredly but as she intends to turn away she does a double take. Her whiskers twitch amusedly as she realizes Blazingheart had been looking at her for a little too long. She can't help but smirk when the molly turns her head away and gestures for Magnolia to lead the way. How odd... Magnolia swivels on her heel and pads away, flicking her bushy tail against Blazingheart's shoulder.

She eventually guides her loca down an alleyway and tilts her chin upwards towards a rooftop. "This will give you a good vantage point," Magnolia murmurs before bunching her hindquarters and launching upon a dumpster. On the dumpster, Magnolia stares down at the cat below and sighs wistfully before hauling herself onto the rooftop. It dawns upon the blue cat she's never even had a friend before.

"So, what is your name?" She shuffles back to make room for Blazingheart to ascend. "Y'know, I was lookin' for someone not too long ago too. In fact, you know her I bet- my mother. Flora...Florabreeze, yeah- that's a long story right there. Well except I guess I was the missing one... but enough about me!" Magnolia saunters further up the roof, glancing back to the molly. The sunlight upon her fur makes her appear otherworldly, an eternal flame come to thaw away Magnolia's misgivings and warm her against the coming Leaf-bare.

𓆩✦𓆪 — The red tabby angles her ears forward as she listens to the other molly explain that the word means friend and her mouth opens in a silent 'oh' kind of way, her feathery tail flicks behind her "Huh, is that so? Well, it's definitely a fun way of saying friend... I'll definitely use it more often." Blazingheart would definitely make sure to tell her brother, Hawkspine, first since they shared a lot with each other or did whenever they were able to spend some time together which hadn't been a lot as of late. Her whiskers twitch nervously noticing how Magnolia had caught her staring for too long which caused the fur on her chest to ruffle but with her tongue, she smooths it down with a few quick licks and follows after the blue molly quite eagerly after she brushes her tail against her fire toned shoulder. "What other words do you know? I'd love to learn a few more if you have any." It'd be a nice way to forget about all the dangers of the Twolegplace even if its very brief and that way maybe she'd be able to learn more about Magnolia during this search for her littermate, her green eyes skimming over their surroundings to see if she saw any sign of lilac patches and tabby stripes.

The pair walk down the alley only to follow Magnolia's gaze towards the rooftop and her smile falters at the thought of scaling anything that isn't a tree but if she wanted to find Wolfpaw, she would have to follow the bicolored molly's lead and watches as she leaps onto a dumpster before hauling herself onto the rooftop. Blazingheart hesitates for a heartbeat only to bunch her own muscles and launches herself with paws clawing at the dumpster as she struggles for a moment, her hind legs kicking behind her and manages to haul herself up with a loud huff. "It's a lot harder than climbing on trees, hah!" She muses with a toothy grin forming on her face and she ducks her head to hide the embarrassment that she feels especially in front of this stranger that she hardly knew but wished to know more about all the same. "H-have you ever uhm... climbed a tree?" Her whiskers twitch trying to remove the attention from herself at the moment and her feathery tail lashes behind her, she hauls herself onto the rooftop with a grunt.

She nods at what Magnolia says about them having a better view and falls silent when the other she-cat asks what her name is, Blazingheart feeling dumb that she hadn't really introduced herself "My name is Blazingheart but... you can just call me Blaze." She doesn't think on it when she should've and it slips from her completely, the tabbied feline simply offering a smile and walks along the rooftop rather awkwardly not really emjoying the feeling of the material on the pads of her paws. Her bottlebrush tail raised like a flag behind her and perks up at the mention of Florabreeze, her eyes widening when the other admits that the newly made lead warrior is her mother "Wow, really? Yeah, she's in Skyclan and one of our lead warriors..." Blazingheart trails off hearing that Magnolia was that one who had been missing and it causes a frown to pull at her lips as her head tilts to the side "You were missing?"

She falls completely silent only to shake her head a little and answers a bit too quick "N-no! I want to know more about you... if that's okay, of course." An awkward cough leaving her muzzle and her face feels hot all at once in that moment, "I'm not that interesting... I'll be completely honest."

Magnolia considers her knowledge to be vast but mostly useless; when Blazingheart asks if there is any others words she could impress upon him Magnolia comes up short. She searches her vocabulary but fails to provide anything which may be interesting, she does not consider herself one to be good at performing on the spot and so instead she shirks the question, "Well now, if I shared everything I knew today, you wouldn't come back for more another day!" Besides, in the meantime (if Blazingheart were to visit her again) it would give her some time to think up things she could tell him about. She plans to trek to the fabled Horseplace anyways, she's sure there will be much she can learn there that she can pass along to her new 'friend.'

Amber eyes peer downwards to watch the red tabby scramble upon the dumpster, Magnolia's lips twitching upwards assuringly once Blazingheart is atop the strange dumpster. "It's important to know how to climb around here- like to get away from dogs or... twolegs." She mumbles the final word, ears falling back uncertainly before pricking upwards again. "A tree? Sure I have, but I'm not so good at it compared to you clan folk." There is no hint of judgement from Magnolia caused by Blazingheart's struggle to clamber onto the rooftop- she'd be an idiot to think the tabby to be incapable of anything. In truth Magnolia recognizes Blazingheart would easily be able to harm herself if so inclined, or humiliate her with whatever skills were drilled into the clan-cat from an early age.

"Blaz-ing-heart." Magnolia squints, an eye cracking open to peek again at her fiery fur illuminated by the sun. "Blaze, alright. Well both suit you well, Blaze," the molly drawls out the nickname approvingly- not that her opinion matters in such things but she has an appreciation for such things. She mews, "Magnolia, and I've got no nickname."

She pauses at the center of the roof, broad paws curling over the edge of the uppermost ridge. A white shoulder shrugs- it's an effort to be nonchalant, but the discomfort surrounding the subject of her mother is evident as she sets her jaw. The concept of Florabreeze being a lead warrior means nothing to Magnolia and so she politely nods, her gaze sweeping across the monsterpath which cuts through the grid of Twoleg dens. Why'd I have to mention her? She's saved from her own self-pity swiftly however when Blazingheart emphasizes her interest in herself, forcing Magnolia to swing her bi-colored from their surroundings to her.

"Well, I'm certain that's not true Blaze. I know hardly anything 'bout you and know you're interesting..." The blue cat's brows twitch upwards expressively, an effort to emphasize how much she believe this to be true. Magnolia divulges, "Just the sight of you interests me." There's no flirtatious edge to her voice or lie to it, just the stars-honest truth. She trots down the length of the roof unevenly and pauses to lean over the far end towards the ground below. It is there that she admits, "Well, Florabreeze claims I was missing... lost, I guess. I was apparently 'taken' from her as a kit... was a kittypet once but-" She casts a glance back at Blazingheart, as though searching for a negative reaction. She does not want to paint her mother in a negative light, not when the mention of her obviously intrigued Blazingheart. She keeps the story deliberately short and vague. "-I became free at 6 moons. Been on my own ever since. I met Florabreeze around... a moon ago I think."

She twists on her heel, wobbling slightly on the edge, and then bounds back towards Blaze. "Oh c'mon, Blaze... tell me about yourself! The sun is goin' to set soon and you'll need to go home- I'll walk you back there, don't you worry- but 'til then you and I can sit here. We can go deeper into the 'place another time." It's an unspoken plead for the clan cat and Magnolia to meet again after this time as well as to have a simple conversation. They can pretend their realities are not what they are, that the rooftop is a slice out of them made for just themselves. Magnolia flicks her tail against Blazingheart's shoulder, as she had done earlier, and sits down precariously on the sloped surface.

since escaping her twoleg home at the age of 6 moons, Magnolia has lead a solitary life with no genuine connections with others due to a fear of loosing them. despite her many tribulations, Magnolia still manages to be benevolent, brave, and eccentric. she approaches others with the hope they will not let her down but always remains on edge.

𓆩✦𓆪 — When the blue toned molly answers her back that if she told her everything that she knew that Blazingheart wouldn't return for another day but that would be untrue due to her restless search of her littermate and well, she found Magnolia to be an interesting individual. It's enough to make a toothy smile pull at her lips as her feathery tail sweeps behind her and curls in the slightest "Hah, I suppose that you're right." The sunkissed tabby pauses for a moment as she thinks for a heartbeat then adds on with an eager flick of her bushy tail, "I hope for you to teach me plenty of fun words when I visit. A word for every day, I think." It's enough to make her large paws shuffle in a shy manner before she straightens her posture trailing behind the other without hesitance and it makes her briefly think of her grandparents only to shake off the thought. She's more eagered at the possibility of befriending someone outside of Skyclan and tries to drown out the anxiety that lingers in her belly as she silently hopes that there isn't any nearby rogues.

"Yeah... I'm a lot better at climbing trees, I need to work on my aim and jumping... especially around here. I jumped too low and got jabbed by that... uh... flat wood wall." Or unbeknownst to her, it was a fence. She agrees hoping that she'd learn quick enough so that she would be able to evade both dogs and twolegs, the thought of either managing to grab her is enough to make her shiver in the slightest. She remembers what had happened to her clanmates when they had gotten mauled or attacked by those ravenous creatures and how the twolegs had snatched Wolfpaw away from her family when they had been walking together with their family. "Well, maybe we can help one another. You should me how to climb 'round here and I'll teach you how to climb a tree like me! Maybe even leap through the branches, that's the real fun part of it."

Her whiskers twitch with amusement as Magnolia says her name and tests it out on her tongue before settling on the nickname that the red tabby had offered, something about being called Blaze instead of her complete name feels euphoric in a way though she isn't sure on how to describe it. Finally, the bicolored molly introduces herself to her and it's enough to make her eyes grow bright, Blazingheart nods slowly before saying with a faint purr "Magnolia... It suits you. It's a very pretty name."

Her own smile seems to falter when she sees the moggy pause in her steps and the way her jaw seems to tense at the mention of Florabreeze, her feathery ears angled forward to give Magnolia her undivided attention. It isn't long until she reveals that she had been taken from her mother and had been a kittypet before living on the streets at the age of an apprentice, Blazingheart's face doesn't crease or falter with judgement nor disgust to Magnolia being a former kittypet. After all, her own grandfather had been a former kittypet too before wandering into the forest and eventually being the leader of Skyclan... There would be no judgement cast from Blazingheart in the slightest instead attempts to gently brush her shoulder against Magnolia's in an attempt at comfort. "Sounds awful... I couldn't imagine being taken from my family at that age." She admits instead seeing that the other had been brave enough to endure that and manage to survive for as long as she had.

"I think it's quite brave of you to manage to live on your own... Especially without a clan or twoleg to help you." She says though stops speaking as her eyes grow wide when Magnolia insists on knowing about her, Blazingheart tilts her head in a bashful manner trying to think of something remotely interesting that wouldn't make her seem like an absolute loser to her new friend. She can't help but frown at the thought of having to leave her especially when the sun's going to set soon and her ears press flat against her head but the unspoken plea doesn't go unheard."Yeah, I'd appreciate that a lot. Thanks... Magnolia." Blazingheart settles down beside the other as her gaze glances over the biew of the other twoleg homes, passing monsters, and brief glimpses of kittypets though she can't help steal a glance at the large moggy beside her from the corner of her eye.

"Uh right... time to tell you about m'self." She can't help but awkwardly chuckle only to tilt her head to the side and shuffles large paws as she tries to search for anything remotely interesting about herself, "Young cats in our clan used to become apprentices at four moons old within Skyclan, I'm sure it was different in other clans... but my first outing wasn't the best. It was actually pretty bad, I ended up getting these scars on m'face and a concussion... I think that old crazy tom said. I can't remember. I'm not real good at fighting despite how big I am..." There's a long pause as she thinks of her other skills and can't help the weak chuckle that slips out of her maw, "I'm not really good at anything but, hey, I'll sure as hell try."

She clears her throat awkwardly then turns her head towards Magnolia so she could look into the others honeyed gaze and mentions with a small smirk "I was a real brat as a kid. I once made a girl cry because I ate her little pet bug and then I lied that she had tripped while we were playing. Me and her got into a lot of scuffles but I was a jerk... I'm different now, of course. I hope so." Blazingheart thinks about how she had swiped her claws at Hickory after the other had saved her and how she accused her of murderous intent, its enough to make her smile falter in the slightest knowing that Springshine hated her most likely and well, it was totally deserved.
