Magnolia considers her knowledge to be vast but mostly useless; when Blazingheart asks if there is any others words she could impress upon him Magnolia comes up short. She searches her vocabulary but fails to provide anything which may be interesting, she does not consider herself one to be good at performing on the spot and so instead she shirks the question,
"Well now, if I shared everything I knew today, you wouldn't come back for more another day!" Besides, in the meantime (if Blazingheart were to visit her again) it would give her some time to think up things she could tell him about. She plans to trek to the fabled Horseplace anyways, she's sure there will be much she can learn there that she can pass along to her new 'friend.'
Amber eyes peer downwards to watch the red tabby scramble upon the dumpster, Magnolia's lips twitching upwards assuringly once Blazingheart is atop the strange dumpster.
"It's important to know how to climb around here- like to get away from dogs or... twolegs." She mumbles the final word, ears falling back uncertainly before pricking upwards again.
"A tree? Sure I have, but I'm not so good at it compared to you clan folk." There is no hint of judgement from Magnolia caused by Blazingheart's struggle to clamber onto the rooftop- she'd be an idiot to think the tabby to be incapable of anything. In truth Magnolia recognizes Blazingheart would easily be able to harm herself if so inclined, or humiliate her with whatever skills were drilled into the clan-cat from an early age.
"Blaz-ing-heart." Magnolia squints, an eye cracking open to peek again at her fiery fur illuminated by the sun.
"Blaze, alright. Well both suit you well, Blaze," the molly drawls out the nickname approvingly- not that her opinion matters in such things but she has an appreciation for such things. She mews,
"Magnolia, and I've got no nickname."
She pauses at the center of the roof, broad paws curling over the edge of the uppermost ridge. A white shoulder shrugs- it's an effort to be nonchalant, but the discomfort surrounding the subject of her mother is evident as she sets her jaw. The concept of Florabreeze being a lead warrior means nothing to Magnolia and so she politely nods, her gaze sweeping across the monsterpath which cuts through the grid of Twoleg dens.
Why'd I have to mention her? She's saved from her own self-pity swiftly however when Blazingheart emphasizes her interest in herself, forcing Magnolia to swing her bi-colored from their surroundings to her.
"Well, I'm certain that's not true Blaze. I know hardly anything 'bout you and know you're interesting..." The blue cat's brows twitch upwards expressively, an effort to emphasize how much she believe this to be true. Magnolia divulges,
"Just the sight of you interests me." There's no flirtatious edge to her voice or lie to it, just the stars-honest truth. She trots down the length of the roof unevenly and pauses to lean over the far end towards the ground below. It is there that she admits,
"Well, Florabreeze claims I was missing... lost, I guess. I was apparently 'taken' from her as a kit... was a kittypet once but-" She casts a glance back at Blazingheart, as though searching for a negative reaction. She does not want to paint her mother in a negative light, not when the mention of her obviously intrigued Blazingheart. She keeps the story deliberately short and vague.
"-I became free at 6 moons. Been on my own ever since. I met Florabreeze around... a moon ago I think."
She twists on her heel, wobbling slightly on the edge, and then bounds back towards Blaze.
"Oh c'mon, Blaze... tell me about yourself! The sun is goin' to set soon and you'll need to go home- I'll walk you back there, don't you worry- but 'til then you and I can sit here. We can go deeper into the 'place another time." It's an unspoken plead for the clan cat and Magnolia to meet again after this time as well as to have a simple conversation. They can pretend their realities are not what they are, that the rooftop is a slice out of them made for just themselves. Magnolia flicks her tail against Blazingheart's shoulder, as she had done earlier, and sits down precariously on the sloped surface.
