*+:。.。 Basilpaw.
A former denmate now a distant older apprentice. Bonepaw can't say he found him particularly interesting, but he couldn't refute how his eyes have wandered more often in his direction than with most. Basilpaw was uniquely one of Shadowclan's more joyful members. Almost always seen with a smile, Basilpaw was a spunky, rambunctious soul who never seemed to tire from his eagerness to assist others. His dynamic with Snowpaw was a good example of his positive traits shining through to benefit the whole clan. Never once has Bonepaw seen Basilpaw sour against Snowpaw's cold demeanor, not even dampening Basilpaw's energy.

He couldn't imagine what kind of fool would denounce a cat like Basilpaw as their sibling.

Bonepaw had been oddly upset, thinking about it. After Branchkit had accidentally broken his feather, Bonepaw had thought long and hard about what it meant to be a big brother. Thinking about Branchkit's little lip wobbling with apologies, believing, even for a second, that Bonepaw would love him less, made his heart squeeze. How could Lividpaw so callously deal a blow like that upon his own brother? And, alternatively...how was Basilpaw handling it?
Normally, Bonepaw wouldn't trifle in the matters of others. It wasn't his family. It wasn't his friend. And yet, Bonepaw found himself craning his neck to see when Basilpaw would leave the apprentice's den, peering around for his return from patrol, and ensuring from a distance that he was eating alright. Even still, that didn't feel like enough.

So, hoping to quell whatever was motivating his undue concern, Bonepaw decided to talk to the older boy.
"Basilpaw" Bonepaw would say, a monotone voice and clipped words doing nothing to express his inner sympathies. "Are you alright?" straight to the point. What was he supposed to do afterward? "Would you like a feather?" he offered suddenly. It had made his moms happy, maybe it'd do the same for Basilpaw?

On the outside Basilpaw might look like he was totally fine acting like he always did with not much of difference beside his new interest of causing mishief and wishing to learn how to 'swoo' the mollies in the clan. But both of it was partly for show, an distraction or a way to act out without really showing it. Behind the facade and every silly thing he did, Basilpaw was far from being okay. A smile were just a perfect weapon to hide behind so nobody would see what lay underneath.

That day, in that very moment Basilpaw could be found sitting as he stared across the otherside of camp at Lividpaw who was over at the nursery to feed the kits and queens. The two had not been speaking a word to each other since that day. Basilpaw was keeping his distance as he often stood to just stare at them, longingly. He was so fixated to stare at his brother that Basilpaw did not even notice when Bonepaw approached. That was until they spoke.

Basilpaw tore his gaze away from his brother to stare at the other apprentice. "Are you alright?." Sometimes it was tiresome to answer questions like this. To give the same answer. Basilpaw smiled at them, not a grin for once. Just a simple smile. " Brother have not spoken one word to me for days now." he started before his gaze returned back to stare after his brother. " Do you think it's too early to approach him?. " What could he do to make them forgive him?. For everything to return back to normal again. Well...he suppose it never would since father was gone.

His gaze dropt to the ground to stare at his white forepaw. Unexpectantly Bonepaw offered to give him a feather. Uh. That was a gift he never had received before. " A feather would be nice...." he mumbled as he usually would be overjoyed that someone thought enough of him to give him something. Right now it was a nice comfort gift. He wonderd if Lividpaw would like a feather.
