——— but who saves you.

HE SCOFFED, TUGGING DOWN THE ALLEYWAY, AZURE OPTICS NARROWED unwilling to let the tears fall down raven-hued cheeks. Fucking hell. He shook his helm, glancing over his shoulder where he left Chi not two hours ago. Darkened fur bristled along the lengths of his spine as he stalked along the edges of the darkening alleyway, shadows looming above him as he fell deeper into his mind. Way to fuckin’ go Mason. He grinned wickedly.

Always the weak one with Chi. He’d never been strong enough to deal with her. He had loved her once, but that was a dwindling emotion the longer he’d been with her when they were kittypets.

Shaking his helm, Mason carried on with stiff limbs. Get it together. He hissed, muscles twitching. He still wasn’t at his best. Body marred with recent scars hidden beneath raven fur, muzzle scrunching up in annoyance. “Damnit.” He grinned coyly. Forgot about that damn nickname. How long ago had he been outright called a monster? Forever ago, it seems. Still hurts. Of course, Mason couldn’t help but agree with it. Fitting for someone like him.

Mason grumbled, taking stock of where he was, having been wrapped up within his own mind to pay attention to his surroundings. Azure optics narrowed, head cocked, unfamiliar with his surroundings. “Great. Where the fuck am I now?” He tossed his head back childishly, falling on his haunches to piece just where he’d taken a wrong turn. Fuck.
