his voice was quiet, his paws worked hard. he had walls to reform. he had prey to hunt. borders to mark. he had an apprentice to train. thoughts in his head to ignore. of worries of duskclan coming to seek thriftfeather. would he be deemed a traitor to them? would he be accepted here, or would sunstar decide his fate was to remain here with his children? he wanted answers as much as the other two, and unfortunately most of his clan.

bulky head would work with moss, a large pile forming in camp for those that needed it. apprentices taking jawfuls to the elders den, and he in turn would take a jawful to the nursery, hesitant. he had been coming here often, hadnt he? but even before, since sootstar puunished him to serve them, he had been a frequent visitor. just not this frequent. it would be thriftfeathers presence that dragged him here often, checking and talking to his friend as often as he could before he couldnt again.

his gaze did not meet dimmingsuns as he finally poked his pale form into the nursery, shifting slightly to fit through easier. "I have more moss, if you need," he said softly, setting it gently down before looking up to meet blue eyes of bluefrost. "are you and the children faring well?" he asked, offering a gentle smile to her, before down to the five bundles of fur. "I had heard they began eating food-" he mentioned. "You must be so proud."

but there was a deeper question tugging at his chest, something he wanted to ask, but he did not. perhaps that is why he had started idle chatter. but he also had slight worry for her as well. so many cats here in his clan, he looked up to. he would respect, honor, and let his loyalties lay out for.
