↞ RACE THE WINDS
It had been a while since he had last felt safe enough to venture out of the camp without fearing death descending from above at every second. Well, there was still a chance of course, so he wasn't dropping his guard entirely. Galepaw carried himself out across the moors until he was finally able to reach Outlook Rock. He had been eager to get there for a while, so as he ascended to the top he gave an exhale of much needed relief. The young tom gazed out across the territory that he called home, admiring the way in which the seasons blended in physical passing. Leafbare was coming but it continued to be adorned in hues of amber, orange and golds.
Galepaw longed to be lost in the sight, but he was thrown from his attempts to focus by something nipping his tail. At first he tried to ignore it, but it was persistent and he could no longer tolerate it. Whipping round with a hiss he confronted the source of his irritation. Though he felt some minor disappointment when he laid his eyes on that of a small lizard. A small, angry lizard. "Pffft! Aw, aren't you a cutie. What are you doing lil' gu-AAAAAAAAAAAA!" The second his paw extended out to poke the lizard it immediately bit him. Hard. The apprentice flailed frantically, screaming at the top of his lungs as he tried to shake the lizard off.
It finally detached and landed somewhere in the grass below the boulder, leaving Galepaw to wheeze and shuffle about on the rock in fear. "Oh no-nononono! Where did it go?"
