Spiderbloom was no stranger to chasing fast prey. She had never been able to catch rabbits before, the abundance of trees so close together made it difficult if she wasn't careful.

Which was why the moors were a blessing to her. She could bolt across the territory without having to swerve to stop from plowing right into a tree.

Now the thing plaguing her was her fur color. She was very easily spotted, with her dark fur. But a stroke of luck had her creeping through the snow and grass upon a rabbit who wasn't looking her way. Even when the rabbit noticed her, she was able to confidently bolt after it and was closing in for the kill.

No one was teaching these wretched rogues how to hunt properly and it showed, this chasing rabbits nonsense was too much to watch at times and it was thankful for Spiderbloom he was nearby to intercept the rabbit before it dove into the tunnel it was sprinting for. The blue tabby dropped from the slopping hillside in front of it and lunged, teeth clamping down on the vermin's neck with a sharp snap and he jerked his head to the side quickly to break it before it could retaliate with those dirty claws. With the rabbit now limp he dropped it with a huff, ice blue eyes narrowing at the dark she-cat with irritation.
"Clumsy. Letting it see you and wasting energy chasing. Did no one show you how to hunt these? To face toward the wind and block its burrow?"
Or was she too busy eating their food to learn to catch her own? Juniperfrost had not spoken out against Sootstar's decision to bring these ruffians into their clan, but he had his reservations about it. Most of them were barely present, existing vaguely out of the corner of his eye and the ones who were around often were loud and grated at his nerves. If they could learn to hunt he'd be less critical of them all as a whole.

EXCUSE HIM. If she hadn't been paying attention, she could have crashed right into him!

UGH. MEN.

She shook herself and looked up at him as he spoke. Did this dingdong just call her clumsy!? She was the epitome of grace!(Self proclaimed)

"Then it's a good thing you were here to make up for my mistakes, hm?" She replied to Juniperfrost in a mostly bland tone.

She would not show weakness. If she lets her guard down, she will be stepped on. She preferred to do the stepping.

"I've been doing my best to observe your hunters and learn from their example. Perfection takes time, however." She continued. "Soon, I will be just as good as the rest of you."

You know, if there's any rabbits left this leaf bare.

I won't apologize for being who I am
Coyote looms over the crest of a frosted mooreland hill as equally frigid eyes watch the dark furred molly sprint after a rabbit. She gives a pretty good chase, slowly gaining although it looked keen on giving her the slip until his father intercedes on the rogue's behalf. The young apprentice flicks his tail absentmindedly as he comes down in time to hear Juniperfrost chastise Spiderbloom. While he was not vocal about, it he still kept his distance from the newest windclan members. Mint green eyes focus upon the ticked blue tom as he murmurs a brief word of praise. "Nice catch." Coyote pauses, parting his maw to scent for any remaining prey that might be in the area. "Maybe you can catch the next one by yourself." He adds, now adressing Spiderbloom. Though he does his best to not sound doubtful.
Tryna throw shade on me say a lot 'bout you

palethroat might have a... graycough, or whatever that dandelionwish had called it, but that wasn't going to stop him from getting out and about! it's just a stupid sniffle and slight cough, anyways. it's not like it's life-threatening. besides, his mother always did say the best medicine was exercise.

lucky for him, palethroat has a front row seat to the rabbit chase today. the cream warrior sits atop a hill cresting the horizon, watching with heavy-lidded eyes as one of his rogue friends sprints after a fleeing rabbit. he's found that hunting hares in the sheer openness of the moors is more difficult than he'd originally anticipated; the bastards are speedy, and with ears too long for their stupid heads, he swears that they could hear a sharp intake of breath from a mile away. this one almost gets away from spiderbloom, until another windclan warrior intercepts its escape route. with a quick snap of its neck, the chase is over, and palethroat makes his way down the hill to meet up with the others.

he doesn't even try to hide his appreciative gaze, drinking in the sight of the handsome tom who'd ruined spiderbloom's hunt, admiring each well-defined muscle with a smirk. "nice catch, hot stuff. maybe you should give me lessons, sometime?" palethroat purrs, absolutely unabashed in the way that he bats his eyelashes at juniperfrost. so what if he has a mate? she's not around, and it's just a bit of fun.

unfortunately for him, a coughing fit overtakes him in the middle of his shameful flirting. keeling over, palethroat chokes and splutters.
