Externally, Moonkit is
reserved,
protective,
judgemental and
stubborn. Internally, he is
manipulative,
eccentric, and
vengeful. His
hypocrisy and
moralism shape the way he views and interacts with the world.
Cool, reserved, and sharp-tongued in comparison to his more outgoing brother and loving sibling, Moonkit is his littermates' watchful shadow. Nothing and no one hurts them and gets away with it, be it biting insects or bullies. When he speaks, it's often edged with casual rudeness, judgement, and sarcasm that he claims is "part of his charm." It's nearly impossible to get him to do anything he doesn't want to do, and he's set in his beliefs.
As soon as he realizes how malleable thoughts and emotions really are, he starts to exploit this when he thinks it will lead to what's best for the targeted cat. In his mind, it's only okay if he's doing it, since his intentions are good. He has a strong sense of justice and, despite how often he bends his own rules, staunch beliefs about what's right and what's wrong. However, he often mistakes personal vengeance for justice.
He's an eccentric, earnestly holding supernatural beliefs about himself and his siblings that he holds close to his chest and hesitates to share with anyone outside his family.
Protective
All three of Sorrowthroat's children protect each other fiercely. In particular, Moonkit serves as his brother's loyal knight, never far from the one he considers to be his other half. Anyone who messes with Sunlitkit is messing with him, too, and he's quick to deliver the retaliation he believes they've earned. Daydreamkit's more verbal defense is backed up by the threat of Moonkit's tiny claws and teeth, which he's willing to use against both kits near his age and cats several times his size with little to no regard for the danger. His most frequently applied punishment is biting between the toes.
Eccentric
He holds strange beliefs about himself and his siblings, odd poetic thoughts that make perfect sense to him. Due to an incident that occurred during their birth, Moonkit believes that he and Sunlitkit were meant to be the body and soul of a single cat that separated unnaturally in the womb, and that they cannot ever be too far from one another or else they'll grow weak and sick. As a result, he suffers from severe separation anxiety.
Daydreamkit is another story. To Moonkit, it's also only half a being, but its other half is missing, a soul without a body to sustain it, and its frail condition seems to support this belief in Moonkit's young mind. It readily shares Moonkit's belief about himself and Sunlitkit and refers to them in the singular, which serves to reinforce the idea that it exists strangely in the world around it, as if stuck in an in-between place where it can clearly see the threads that were meant to stitch Moonkit to his brother.
Hypocrisy
WIP, manipulation and violence and murder are okay when he's doing it to "save" someone.
Moralistic
WIP, an eye for an eye, violence and cruelty he believes is unjustified calls for the death of the perpetrator.
Faith
Moonkit was raised to believe in StarClan and follow Clan traditions. He takes comfort in the idea that he's being watched over and guided, and the idea that StarClan would want him to punish evildoers wouldn't be too difficult to instill within him.
