Sunstride is a creature of many entwining goals– he had never considered marriage among them. He was content to live as he had, reveling in the company of rogues and his closest of friends, Wolfsong. It was joining WindClan that changed all of that. Suddenly it was unity that mattered more than anything else; more than his comfort, more than his hopes, more than his friends. And perhaps, in a way, more than himself. Since the rogues came to WindClan, he has sought out one that would not make him feel so terrible in his choice. Courtships grew and fell away again; he seemed indecisive.
Until he grew to know her.
───── Sunstride is gay. There is not and will not be any romantic or sexual attraction to her, but he is still very warm and friendly. He treats her more as a close friend and trusted advisor than a lover.
───── He would look for someone bold and smart, who can keep up with him physically and mentally. He likes someone who can compete! He's 34 moons old and she would be close in age.
───── This is temporary, and will not result in any kits or the like! How long they stay mates IC is totally up for discussion, but it'd be at least a few months I think?
Most everything about this plot is negotiable! How she feels about him, how she reacts to the realization, if she guessed he was only into men before accepting the proposal to be mates or if she's blindsided by it, etc. This is just the bare bones of a plot: he feels obligated to take a woman as a mate for the sake of proving his loyalty to WindClan, and feels obligated to settle down with her and have kits despite his complete reluctance to do so. And because of this, both he and his future ex-wife have to navigate the ensuing disaster.
This is not first come first serve, and will only close when I'm 100% sold on a character for the plot, as well as the plot itself! No idea when that will be. Apply via whatever method you so choose. Be free.
