I BUILT A LITTLE EMPIRE ฅ^._.^ฅ ————————————
Well well well. What did he have here? Another group of housecats meandering off to be "warriors" for the day. He watched from his tree how they all snuck away into the wildcats territory as if they owned it. Bah! How insolent. He'd show them. He'd show them all!

See, Noodle had been practicing. Ever since his first encounter with the SkyClan cats, he had been practicing. He had even successfully caught one mouse, to his housefolk's chagrin. They had squealed at the sight and immediately thrown his catch from their nest. No bother to him, really. He would just catch another. And another. And another until he felt like he deserved to be in that "SkyClan" or whatever they called it.

The white and orange tom sat primly on the border (he understood the border now) with his tail wrapped around his paws and a fresh caught mouse at his feet. He knew that around this time - sunhigh- that the SkyClan warriors would be walking over to check to make sure their precious border was still intact, and this time he was ready.

As the patrol appeared through the trees, Noodle raised his head even higher (despite it hurting his neck), and called out, "Attention SkyClan cats! I, Noodle, bring an offering in order to request a chance to see what all the fuss is about!" He cracked open an amber eye to peek out and see their reaction.

Daisypaw knew nothing about Noodle, hadn't been there when he tried to join the last time nor did he hear anything about the kittypet trying to join - or if he had he didn't remember the other by name - but he was no stranger to cats waiting on the border expecting to be able to join or simply talk to those within the clan. It seemed more and more there were cats that were waiting at the border to speak to those that reside within it, whether they were daylight warriors or full-time warriors, and he couldn't help but find it odd. Despite the more normalcy of the scene he was still on edge however, for since the deaths of Dawnglare and Mallowlark he couldn't help but be cautious around the borders - but around this one especially.

Moving through the underbrush the patrol had been marking the border on the way here, cheeks touching the sides of the trees that marked the border to the twoleg place as they moved along before heading deeper into the territory once more to skirt around and move back to the border. Nose caught the scent of prey and another cat and for a moment he paused before the words reached his ears and his face couldn't help but screw up slightly in confusion. "All the fuss?" He'd speak, tail lashing behind him for a moment before looking towards his mentor before the patrol moved forward to meet the other. "What do you mean all the fuss?" Requesting a chance to see it, if they were wanting to join this was an odd way of doing so.

Much like the apprentice that pads alongside Figfeather, the older black smoke tom wasn't all too familiar with Noodle. He can't remember hearing about a kittypet that followed a patrol, but that week had been foggy to the newly promoted warrior. He had been stuck in the medicine cat den, surrounded by strangers in a strange, unfamiliar place. SkyClan still doesn't exactly feel like home— he isn't sure how long it'll take for him to get used to clan-life being the norm.

The black smoke lightly frowns at the sight of twoleg nests in the short distance, and his ears pin back to his skull. The twolegplace bitterly smells like home; and it reminds him of a life he can never return to. I need to be careful, Copia thinks to himself as they get closer, the last thing I need right now is to be seen. He lets out a quiet sigh, and his mismatched eyes look upon what he once called home— but he freezes at the sight of a stranger at their border. The young kittypet calls out to the patrol, seemingly already familiar with SkyClan, and the former rogue tries to relax his bristled fur. It's just a kittypet. His nose wrinkles, he can tell by the scent that clings to Noodle's fur. Daisypaw speaks up with a little confusion in his voice, and the new warrior looks at the dead mouse at Noodle's paws. An offering? Do they think we can't hunt ourselves? "You caught, er, that yourself?" He wrinkles his nose as he asks, and he wonders if he should feel impressed.

A foreign scent mingling with that of twolegs catches her attention on her solo patrol. The sight of Daisypaw, Figfeather and Copia along with a kittypet soon comes into vision as she flicks her tail in greeting, ”How fares the patrol?” Her inquiry is simple and curious if they'd run across anything worth being alert when being alone, especially after with the incident of Dawnglare and Mallowlark's downfall. A fiery gaze shifts towards the tom-cat settled on the opposite side of their border with a mouse that he hadn't bothered to eat (or decided on what to do with yet?). Emberfall's ears flick at Daisypaw's inquiry that rambled on the lines of something of a 'fuss', as she hadn't been in earshot to hear Noodle's previous statement.

”Fuss?” The words leave her lips with a questioning tilt of her head as her gaze flicks towards Daisypaw and Figfeather. Had the kittypet started a fuss or were they inquiring about something, or was he simply visiting one of their daylight warriors? ”What can we help you with?” The cinnamon smoke questions the unnamed tom-cat with a raise of an eyebrow, yet her vibrant gaze never faltering as they rested on him. Hopefully, he wasn't like Kite's siblings and wasn't going to try to cause unnecessary drama and/or commotion.

MY WORLDS ON FIRE, HOW 'BOUT YOURS?
THAT'S THE WAY I LIKE IT AND I NEVER GET BORED."

Johnny was no stranger to Noodle. The kittypet lived near his neighbourhood and was known for being a bit of a chatterbox- though the torbie was hardly one to talk there. Still, he knew that some of the other daylight warriors were a little less. enthused when it came to Noodle. Even the ex-lead could get a little annoyed from time to time, but he always did his best not to let his patience run too thin.

They were just a curious kittypet, after all.

”Hello, Noodle.” the scottish tomcat greeted, brows lifting in surprise when they noticed the mouse sitting neatly at their paws. Unlike Copia, Johnny did feel a little impressed. The last time the kittypet had followed the morning patrol in, he hadn’t been much of a hunter to johnnys knowledge. ”I’m curious as well about the mouse- you been practising back in twoleg place? he inquired, stubbed tail giving a little twitch.

”What are you hoping to buy with this- a tour of the territory? A day of shadowing a warrior? Or are you trying to actually join?” It wasn't the first time the other had expressed an interest in Skyclan, but Johnny had yet to see just how deep that interest actually ran. Maybe the torbie should get Twitchbolt and Orangestars approval to let the cat shadow him and Sangria for the day- if only to keep them from wandering back and getting into trouble later. Let him get that curiosity out of his system before it got him in trouble.

Oh geez. Noodle wasn't expecting so many unfamiliar cats to push through the bushes. He was a personable guy, but this was a lot even for him. The first two cats, one pretty young and the other was definitely older than him. He eyed the scars covering the older tom with apprehension. Did he get those being a "warrior"? The orange tome gulped and looked back to the younger cat.

"I mean whatever grand adventure the other housecats go on everyday. They always seem so pleased with themselves when they come back at night," he explained and gestured to the woods. "It's gotta be something worth checking out, right?" Noodle grinned his usual lopsided grin and rose to his feet. The mouse at his paws was cold now, but at the scarred cat's mention he nudged it forward.

"You bet! And there's loads more where that came from if you let me follow y'all back to wherever you take my neighbors." He nudged the mouse once more and opened his mouth to explain how exactly he caught it, but his tongue was caught in his mouth as a fiery she-cat joined the crew.

In all his orange glory, Noodle was rarely speechless. He was known to run his mouth to other cat's displeasure and was even quite chatty with his housefolk. This she-cat, though, had taken the breath from his lungs. He could not even pick words to describe her beauty. All he could do was bask in her glory, breathing in the smell of the untamed wild beyond his yard.

A wide grin came to his face and the tomcat bowed to this beautiful stranger. "You can help me with anything you want, my dear," he purred. If the others weren't here, he would have laid it on thicker. Many a she-cat had been wooed by his words, but none ever seemed to want him to continue. Oh well, more Noodle to go around.

The sound of Johnny joining the group made Noodle jump up in excitement. Now this was someone he could reason with. Someone he had some groundwork with. "Johnny! My friend! I'm so happy you asked!" Noodle moved to stand next to his neighbor and laid his tail on the tomcat's back. Joining was not exactly what he had in mind, but if it meant he could spend more time with whoever this she-cat was he would do anything. "Yes! Joining! Whatever that means!" He laughed and looked at the wildcats surrounding them. If he joined would he look like them? Muscled and scarred? Would the fiery she-cat like that?

He remembered this one's face, though he was a little more eccentric than Twitchbolt had recalled. Twitchbolt's face scrunched up a little when he saw Noddle bow to Emberfall as if she was- well, Orangestar. Eyelids twitched with suspicion at this chivalry, this ... display that might crash through the pines and scare off all the prey. Right before Leafbare, too- oh, they were gonna starve if these cheery housecats kept plodding along their borders.

He'd practiced, though ... apparently. "Noodle, right?" he asked, head tilting slightly to one side. Whatever that means, he said. Twitchbolt's eyes wobbled in their narrowed state, tail flicking at something unseen. "You know- this this isn't something to just... p-pass your time with. Joining means- it means hardship, it means helping us when we need it, even- even when it's really rough."

Kittypet knowledge was important to them- again and again, their daylight warriors had given unique aid to them. But there could be no denying that this life was not for everyone - shouldn't be for everyone. Trembling pupils held Noodle's eyes, tremblingly judging his resolve.

Did no one see the mouse? It was fresh caught and took a lot of effort. Noodle rolled his eyes at Twitchbolt, the warrior who had greeted him the last time he tried to follow a patrol out of the neighborhood. "Yeah yeah. You said all that last time! And look! I've been practicing. It's almost leafbare, right? You'll need every mouse you can get."

Noodle was not prepared to have to convince anyone. From how it sounded, they were always in need of some help. He looked to the others gathered and met the shaky eyes of Twitchbolt. "I'm also eager to learn. It's boring here! I want to hunt more and learn what you guys learn." He hadn't realized that he felt that way until he voiced it. It was true, though. Everyday he woke up, ate his kibble, then ventured outside to lounge in the sun until dinner. It was fun as a kitten, but he wanted more. Noodle grew serious, a very rare emotion he showed. "Please."

Normally they might cling to Twitchbolt's side like a burr, butted up against his fur to steal some of the warmth he brings in his presence... but touch now feels like a forbidden prize and they do not brush against him in greeting as they join the group of onlookers. They don't recall meeting this showman of a character the last time he was here... but he recognizes Johnnyflame and that's enough to ease their nervousness. A weak smile pulls onto their features, lifting a bobbed tail in an effort to appear friendly and excited by the prospect of a new face.

"Took all the time to practice.. I'd say he's already pretty dedicated," they mew, glancing at their jittering friend before returning to the kittypet. "You're amongst friends in that regard... There's plenty of us like you... though I can't promise the fulltimers will be eager to share any of the prey you catch once their own food supplies get scarce. If you don't mind that your efforts won't be rewarded until new-leaf?" Because they'd been more than happy to hunt the whole winter away last year, even if they'd been bad at it... but it hadn't stopped their less than friendly clan-mates from insisting that the daylighters were a burden rather than a boon.
