ˏˋ°•*⁀ It seems that Venomstrike was not immune to the yellowcough that had spread within their camp and admittedly, he only has himself to blame. He had visited Rattleheart quite a few times whenever he had found prey to share with his friend, he had been lucky the first time having not gotten sick yet... The last and most recent time he had visited the tunneler, Venomstrike had gotten too close and too comfortable due to being afraid of losing the bicolored feline. He kept thinking about Weaselclaw's death and burial, Sootstar's cry of Starclan having abandoned them, and the rogues. He hated rogues with every fiber of his body and even now as he lays in the safety of the Sandy Hollow, his claws dig into the soil underneath his body. Rattleheart still being over in the badger set with all those other sick clanmates of his and he feels his eyes sting in the slightest.

He had been stupid and now, he was useless with how he was falling victim to yellowcough. His breathing a little more labored than before and he burst into a coughing fit here and there. The moor runner laid on his side for a heartbeat, he didn't feel safe here but he supposed that it's better than the rogue infested moors. A harsh cough leaves him and he wonders with both eyes shut would he die here... In the territory of an enemy instead of the moors that he called home? He hopes not.

Reactions: WOLFSONG
──ᨒ↟↟ᨒ↟ᨒ↟↟ᨒ── Wolfsong has the privilege of traveling between the ThunderClan camp and the Sandy Hollow, where the warriors of WindClan wait. How long their circumstances will continue, Wolfsong cannot say, but there is little he can do for their wounded without asking Berryheart for his stores— or sending warriors to WindClan territory for his herbs. He does not know how intact the medicine cat den is; perhaps the rogues have taken it upon themselves to destroy everything within, all of the plants Wolfsong and Cottonpaw have painstakingly gathered.

He worries, too, for a potential outbreak, but he had not thought to see such a fear validated so soon. "Venomstrike," he murmurs, resting a paw on the larger feline's side. Wolfsong grimaces deeply, and locks eyes with the nearest cat. "Fetch my apprentice, please." His voice remains steady, though his heart less so. Venomstrike has been a kind and welcome presence in WindClan, and Wolfsong would not see his warmth snuffed out by yellowcough.

WOLFSONG of WINDCLAN FORMER ROGUE TURNED MEDICINE CAT. 38 MOONS, HE/HIM, NPC X NPC. MATES WITH SUNSTRIDE (07/05/2023). BIOGRAPHY, PINTEREST, & PLAYLIST.
  • ★★★☆☆ WOUNDS: You're (mostly) in safe paws. You'll know if he's less experienced if he asks for your permission to try a treatment. No wound can scare him away from knowledge.
★★★☆☆ INFECTION: He can prevent most infections. If you feel feverish, let him know; he'll hum thoughtfully over herbs and sniff your wound before saying, "With your blessing..."
  • ★☆☆☆☆ ACHES & PAINS: If you complain to him of pain, he'll ask where. If it's a headache, you'll likely feel a bit better. For anything else, "Try this, if you'd like, and tell me how you feel."
★☆☆☆☆ BROKEN BONES: At best. he can ask you to remain lying down in the den. He may try to distract you with conversation while he considers what herb to feed you.
  • ★★★★★ TRAVELING HERBS: Going somewhere? No worries; Wolfsong knows just what you need to stay hale and healthy during your journey. The rest is up to you.
★★☆☆☆ KITTING: Thanks to Starlingheart, he's better prepared for the arrival of kits, but any complications will need a little faith and a lot of luck.
  • ★☆☆☆☆ POISONS: It's best if you avoid eating anything unfamiliar to you— it's probably just as unfamiliar to Wolfsong. The best he can do is offer you yarrow and sit with you.
★★☆☆☆ ILLNESS: If it's white or greencough, you'll likely recover. Otherwise, prepare for odd concoctions and the usual request that you consent to a little trial-and-error.
