╭──── ⋅ ⋅ ──── 。・゚゚・ ─── ☀︎ ─── ・゚゚・。 ──── ⋅ ⋅ ────╮
Running amok in camp all day, there's nothing Finchkit hates more than the sight of the sun - that is, seeing it slip down across the sky until it was no longer visible up there, replaced by the moon and stars for another quiet, boring night. Most of the time, it's not a bother for too terribly long, since she often finds herself more tuckered out than she'd thought the moment she curls up beside Brightshine's side, but that doesn't change the principal of things; the sun still goes down, and she still has to face a bedtime she isn't quite ready for. Even if it ends up with her happily sleeping, having to abandon her games for the day is the worst! Today is no exception, and already she can feel a chill settling in her fur, watching the sun limp its way towards the lower bit of the gorse wall, towards the horizon that's allegedly out there somewhere. Is it her imagination, or has evening snuck up quicker than it used to? It's a sneaking suspicion that she's been having more often than late, but so far she'd just told herself she was being silly; after all, how could the sun be changing when it goes down? Had it gotten into an argument with the moon, or something? Still, even though she'd discounted the idea so far, today - or rather, tonight just doesn't sit right with her, not the chill or the position of the one constant of the daytime.
There's no way it should be time for bed already - she's certain that she hadn't been ushered into the nursery this early, not since she'd barely been able to toddle and they all got tired out too-quickly by everything. That only leaves one explanation, though, and even if it still doesn't make sense, it's the only thing left that she can think of. So, the sun and the moon really were swapping places earlier, huh? More than anything, Finchkit feels displeased, and maybe a little intrigued too. Such a thing might be upsetting to others, particularly the notion of what it meant for the future (would they one day soon be left entirely in darkness??), but in this moment, more than anything, she's mostly just annoyed that Brightshine will probably come calling soon, herding them into the nursery soon for bedtime. Briefly, she considers finding somewhere to hide, to wait out the sun and bathe in the moon's glow for once, though ultimately she stays put, frowning up at the sky and in the direction of where the sun would soon retreat. "How come the sun is hiding more and more? Is it running from something? Oh - do you think the rogues are scaring it away?" To anyone and nobody at all, the questions are tossed up and into the air. "I don't like it - I wish the sun would stay out all the time, so then we could play and stuff all day," she finally decides, gaze tearing away from the skyline and directed towards anyone that might approach with an answer, or at least with an opinion.

OOC: Retro to the rogue invasion ^^ Prompt: Nights seem to have grown longer. Just a moon ago the sun poked out from the earth when it was time for dawn patrol, these days the stars are often still out! How does your character feel about the prolonged night time?
