[ pls wait for @Brackenpaw ! ]
Cottonsprig she is - but a medicine cat's name does not brandish the claws of a warrior, much less the skill of a tunneler. While the she-cat has held fast to her mediocre skills of her childhood, she is still long behind even those only a few moons into their apprenticeships. She can catch a rabbit fairly well above ground, and in a meager spar she might be able to hold her own. But if she's beneath the ground, following a tunneling patrol, she's nearly out of her element. Her mother must be rolling in her grave to know that one of her daughters does not fare well in the tunnels any longer. (She must be rolling in her grave regardless.)
"Oops!" the grey she-cat grunts as her nose bumps into the cat in front of her - her sister's apprentice, she finds in the coming moments - due to mindlessly following rather than paying attention to the patrol. She blinks a few times, some dust from the ground above them dusting her snout. "Aah," she half-heartedly whines, "I'm sorry, Brackenpaw - I didn't see we were stopping...!"
