sh chocolate point with low white. Honeyjaw isn't the most remarkable of creatures. Of mostly average height and build, surprisingly solid but not all that massive, with short brown fur– really, he's just a cat, at the end of the day. There's a darkening at his points and a little sprinkling of salt and pepper around his muzzle. Aside from that and a few small bits of white, that's really it to his patterning. The most interesting thing about him would probably be his ears, though he would find it a bit insulting to be reduced to their light curl. But really, it's not like he's unique. Handsome, maybe (he takes good care of himself, maybe leaning towards vain), but certainly not surprising.

You could say that I've lived a long and unjust life– you wouldn't be wholly wrong, even if that's...a little bit hurtful. I grew up pretty simply, you know how it is. Before the clans, as they call themselves now. My story started like that, in some small colony as an even smaller scrap of fur. My parents loved me but I was raised by a lot of paws. Or, rather, barely raised at all. All of them were good cats. They just had a rather hands-off approach to parenting. I learned to take care of myself and my own, and that was that.
I left them pretty quickly. A lot to do, a lot to see. Got caught up with another colony, but stars know my life can't ever be a simple one. Turns out they were at odds with another colony that bordered them — sounds a bit familiar, doesn't it? Everything went downhill from there. Turns out there'd been a litter born between the two colonies. With the parents shamed and sent away, the kitten that remained was– well, rather unimportant to them, in the grand scheme of things. They both wanted her gone. So I...obliged. Maybe not the way they'd intended for it to go down, seeing as they've been angry with me in every sense, as far as I can tell, but she was safe, and I was with her.
If only that had meant something more, at the time.
Luckily for me, the little bean didn't need nursing. Getting her to like eating solid food was certainly a struggle. She was so small. I thought I was killing her; I thought she would die. I came to ShadowClan trying to prevent that. We both got lucky when they let us in. They had a queen there, I HAVEN'T DECIDED HER NAME– she took a liking to us. Or...maybe just to little Dragonfly. Helped me take care of her. Taught me to be a parent in ways that reached beyond my desperate attempts at saving someone so small and fragile. It wasn't much, but I know I can thank her for how far we've come. She lost her family, but maybe she's found another with us.
If it weren't for her and Clearheart, I don't think we would have made it in ShadowClan. I'll be the first to admit I wasn't all that fond of the place when I first came. They saved Dragonfly, sure, but the idea of them wasn't all that pleasant to me. As underhanded as the last colony I was apart of, with none of the pleasant greenery. It stank. It was dark, and deep, and full of troubles I wanted no part of. I thought them all a lost cause. Maybe I should just have convinced NPC NAME to leave with me and the kid, make our own place out there. He convinced me otherwise. There's more to that story, but it's not one I really like to tell.
The long and short of it is the insufferable man saved me. And now he trains Dragonflypaw– they'll be a warrior soon, and a good one at that. Because of him. Because of ShadowClan. This place isn't as bad as I once thought it to be. Maybe one day it'll be more than that, too.
