⋆⁺₊ ☾ ⁺₊⋆ "Swallowpaw..." Swansong breathes the apprentice's name quietly, a soft flick of her tail gesturing for them to stop. They are far enough from camp, now. She turns, levels them with an impassive stare. "Do you... wish to graduate? Do you think that you are ready...?" A steady loll of her head to the side, considering. He still looks so childish; something about his face, she supposes. Has she done well to tame the snapfire of an apprentice? "I want you... to show me. To prove it to me." Her voice threads through the air in decisive tones, soft as ever.
A moment of consideration. "Your goal is simple... Pin me." She preferred to pit the apprentice against others, in training. She's never been one for sparring herself, unalike the apprentice she has been assigned to.
She smiles. "You are fond of spars, yes...? It should not be too hard..." Dishonest, certainly. They have no intention of letting the apprentice off easily. She is good at sparring, that much is true... But this is a test of more than just skill. Swallowpaw is a child, but they cannot remain one. Will they underestimate her? Will their overeagerness get the better of them? A few taunts should get him going, if need be... Another round, should she overestimate her own capabilities...
But they do not want her to lose, of course. They will keep her here for as long as it takes until her anger dims. Enough to see past the bluster of youth and fight like a warrior - with a level head and a focused blow. Then, she will let them pass. "Claws sheathed, and..." She takes a few paces back, fixes them with an unreadable stare.."Try to keep your focus, hm...? I will fight you as... as a true enemy would." They won't hold back, is what they mean.
"I will let you have the first move, Swallowpaw..." A gracious gesture. They will play the defensive, to begin.
