〔✦〕"Do you think that there will be any birds to catch today?" He breaks the silence, twitching their whiskers and wondering if this had been a good idea. Still the young blue tabby cat flicked their tail back and forth behind them idly as they walked through the reeds. The sun was high in the sky and the heat beat down on them through the dappled lighting like a onslaught. Like a wave of hot was crashing at the shore instead of cooling water and sand. Stoneheart shook himself slightly in response to their thoughts and brought himself back to what they had been doing.
He had been wanting to go hunting all day today, it was one of his weaker points in this time, and he wanted to sharpen them a little. The young tomcat was wondering alongside another cat, a fellow warrior Dappledew, and their question hung in the air. Stoneheart was never good at being social but they tried their best really as they went on to ramble with, "I do hope so, ive been trying to catch a bird since i was an apprentice," They gave a little chuckle at their own words and glanced down at their paws as they walked over scorched dirt-covered ground. Stoneheart had always dreamed of a bird to bring home but alas, they werent common in Riverclan nor easy to catch either. The young warrior twitched an ear and looked up at the tree tops as the sun seemed to never letup on its blasting heat waves.
"We should go swimming too, its so hot out its basically asking for us to sit in" Stonheart went on with amusedly and looked to the fellow warrior once more, hopefully theyd be able to find something in this heat wave. If he was a piece of prey, he'd be sleeping in a dark hole in the ground to cool down with instead. Though it was wistful thinking really. Still, the blue tabby cat flicked his tail a bit and shrugged a bit, "What about you? Anything you wanna catch?"
