// Your character performs an unselfish act for another Clanmate. What is the action? @MUSHROOMPAW
( 𓆣 ) Termitepaw can't say that they know Mushroompaw very well. It's largely due to the age difference between the two, with the younger cat having been in the nursery not long ago. It was Mushroompaw's apprentice ceremony, in fact, that caused her to catch Termitepaw's attention. Their heart ached to see the panic in Mushroompaw's eyes, the way that she fled from her own apprentice ceremony. A moment that should have been celebratory curdled into a source of fear. Even if they don't know the exact cause, they understand the feeling all too well.
Termitepaw rarely starts conversations with other cats, too frightened of their judging eyes to even speak. They keep to themself, make themself small in the conversations they do have, drift through life more as observer than active participant.
But they can't stop thinking about Mushroompaw. Everyone seems so harsh on her now, acting like she's overreacting, being difficult. Another feeling they're far too familiar with. But... is she alright? How has she been handling things, since her apprentice ceremony? ....Could she use a friend? Termitepaw is the opposite of nosy, avoiding cats when possible, so she knows little about Mushroompaw past her disastrous apprentice ceremony.
It's strange, then, when Termitepaw chooses to approach, to speak with Mushroompaw. They catch her alone in camp, voice soft as an insect hum when they speak, "Hi-i, mm -- Mushroompaw." They give her a little smile.
"Wa-ant to go on a wa-alk with me?" It can be good to get out of camp. And besides, then they can avoid any eavesdroppers.
