*+:｡.｡ "Hunting was very difficult today!" Bugkit meows, giggling as she does her best to lower her voice into a more "adultish" tone, "I hope the weather allie...eleven...ates...eleven-ates soon!" All choice words she had heard recently when her mother shared tongues with another warrior. She loved curling up at her mother's belly and listening to her talk with the other queens and warriors while they groomed one another. Their conversations, though making very little sense to Bugs, were always fun to listen to! Today, though, she wanted to act the part herself, experience what "adult" life was like, even for a moment. No better partner was there than Meadowkit, one of her bestest friends!
Swiping her tongue over her den-mates soft fur, Bugs breaks character for a moment to meow, "Your fur is really super soft, Meadowkit!" She shouldn't be surprised, considering how often she's watched Meowkit work on her fur. Bugs on the other hand has, and will probably always have, a very unruly coat. Fur sticking out at all angles, fluffed to the nines thanks to all her rolling about. Although Bugs often enjoyed the bonding moment of being groomed by her mamma, she'll be honest and admit having her fur combed is not on her top list of favorite things in the world. Hence her gratitude that when she asked Meadowkit to play 'Sharing tongues' with her, the white-streaked red tabby agreed to be the recipient!
"You do a really good job grooming, Meadowkit" Bugs purrs again as she pulls a paw through silky wildfire locks. But you know what would make it better? Pawing forth some flowers and leaves she's collected, she begins to fill Meadowkit's fur with the colorful flora. It doesn't take long for her friend to be covered in the lovely arrangement, but just as quickly, Bugkit runs out of supplies...
Until she spots a ladybug crawling on a nearby rock.
"This'll give you lots of luck, Meadow-um-butterfly!" Meadowbutterfly sounded like a great warrior name in Bugs' opinion! Lifting the ladybug, she places it carefully on Meadowkit's tail. "Uh oh" she soon blurts, watching in surprise as the scarlet beetle proceeds to disappear into Meadowkit's tail. IT was supposed to stay firmly on top, like the flowers and the leaves! "Don't get lost" she frets, lifting Meadowkit's tail to look underneath but finding nothing.
