♚ Patrolling the borders of RiverClan had gotten a bit complicated lately with the rising tides of the river, but she wouldn't complain. Her patrol wasn't far off, but she'd volunteered to go look for reeds or anything else they could rebuild their nests with. Stripped wood logs, to allow weaker cats to float if it floods.. But while she's searching, the familiar scent of WindClan catches her nose and she glances around.

What catches her eye is Leechpaw, or well- that wasn't his name anymore, was it? Vulturemask, right? She thinks to herself idly, glancing around to make sure none of her fellow RiverClanners are nearby before she calls out to the tom. "Vulturemask!" She hisses out, trying to catch his attention. He seems to be sniffing under bushes for something; possibly gathering herbs for Dandy? "You've gotten taller. How has.. WindClan been treating you?"

@VULTUREMASK

❝ there are wounds inside me, gaping holes of disconnect.
can you drown inside your own body? can you suffocate within this mind? ❞

The river. Maybe he could find something down there. Thus far his luck of finding any herbs had been nonexistent. Today maybe he would have better luck if he tried to go somewhere else, he figured. Vulturemask had never imagined who he would find down by the river that day though... The medicine cat had just removed some of the muddy snow on the ground to check if there was anything to find in that bush when a well familiar voice entered his ears. He would glance up from his search with a blink of his eyes, and across the river he saw her, the familiar form of their former lead warrior. Hyacinthbreath. Just like she had done, the black tom started to look around, from left to right to see if anybody else was around who could see them. Seemed like some sort of luck was on his side today...or maybe it was another bad luck. He honestly wasn't sure..

" So it's true that you ended up here." he would point out quielty as he stept closer to the riverbanks shore, so the two could speak easier with one another. By the looks of it, her new lifestyle had done well for her, not looking so scrawny and underweight like the ones at the moors, him included. Maybe he should feel bitter about it, but to be honest he preferred her joining riverclan in front of thunderclan and skyclan. Shadowclan would only have caused trouble if she would have dared to try joining their ally after what she had done.

He would snort when she said he had gotten taller. He wonderd if that was true. Wait...hadn't she called out his new name?. Vulturemask grow a bit wary, wondering how she know he was Vulturemask now and not Leechpaw still...or something else with the name 'Leech' stuck to it. Had someone told her?. Has she been asking around about him?. He hoped not...Vult did not wish anyone back at home to think he was associating himself with someone that was branded like a traitor. " Windclan has been treating me good like they always have." he would make sure to get his point across, about which side he stood on here. He might not always have thought of Windclan as his home but he had never thought the way Sootstar was leading them to be wrong.

" How about...you?." His voice grow a bit softer, less guarded in a way. Despite the side they stood on now, how they viewed things differently...he couldn't view her as a traitor...to hate her. She had helpt him to understand something importand about himself, to make him finally see his mother for who she always had been and...it was thanks to her he was trying to be a good big brother to his younger siblings. Love. He had come to understand love a little bit better thanks to her. " Do you swim with the fishes now and...breath under water?." He didn't smile as he tried to make a joke, something that the kits always talked about. How the fish clan was just like the fish who lived in the deep blue. Kids...they could be so stupid.
