ALL NIGHT GAMER

// @sunflowerpaw

Finding his footing within WindClan was proving to be quite the trial, especially as he was spurned to the edge of nearly all social circles. Forever the kittypet blight, he supposed. Oh well, at least he had one feline he could depend upon to ease the slithers of anxiety that dwelled deep within him. Even he was willing to admit that he craved company from a less judgemental feline. Silverpaw strolled across the camp clearing with the medicine den being his prime target. To make it seem like he was conducting work he took with him a young rabbit, enough to share with the den's current residents. Or at least with Sunflowerpaw and Vulturemask, the only two WindClanners he actually cared about.

However, as he drew closer a pair of tittering apprentices rushed by from the medicine den's direction. Silverpaw shook his head and paid it no mind as he moved to slip inside. It wasn't hard to find the cat he had been seeking, and once closer he dropped the rabbit down with a grin. "Brought ya some lunch, thought we could share or somethin'."

.°☀ AND IF IT EVER STARTS TO FEEL BAD, LITTLE FANG

Sunflowerpaw doesn't really get the Clan-wide distrust for Silverpaw, but they can't say they're especially fond of him either. They're largely indifferent towards the ex-kittypet apprentice, oblivious to his own attatchment to them (largely owing to their connection to Vulturemask, of course). They cannot say the same for the other two apprentices who scamper past, shooting amused glances their way. Duskpaw and Dawnpaw, they very strongly dislike (hate, even), which is not something they can say for many. All this said, they're in a bit of a bad mood when Silverpaw comes to the medicine den, through no fault of the apprentice's own.

He brings them a rabbit; they're no stranger now, to Clanmates bringing them food, as much as they resent it. He offers to share and they do little more than nod, not meeting his eyes. Everything about them is subdued, blank stare looking to the rabbit without quite seeing it. They're lost in their own thoughts, in the swirling frustration of powerlessness that their injury has brought. They cast a glance towards the apprentices who just left, mouth twitching towards a frown. They do not make any move to eat.

ALL NIGHT GAMER

No verbal response, not that it overly surprised Silverpaw. By this point he was more interested in spending his time studying Sunflowerpaw's body language in order to gander an idea of what the other was thinking or wanting. Though it becomes clear rather promptly that something is amiss, especially when little in the way of thanks for his effort of bringing food is made. Following the direction of the other apprentice's glance he begins to put two and two together with a soft hum. "Guessin' those two pricks have been making life miserable, yeah?" He queried with a tilt of his head as he looked back at Sunflowerpaw. "Describe them, you know, in a way that'll make ya feel better. Call 'em what they are, like dirt lickers, fucking insects, whatever."

.°☀ AND IF IT EVER STARTS TO FEEL BAD, LITTLE FANG

Silverpaw is quick to catch on, and that draws their attention away from their own head. Were they that obvious? Or maybe he's just familiar with the two... It's hard not to be, with how loud Dawnpaw is, and they're certainly not a fan of ex-kittypets. His next suggestion surprises them, though. Describe them...? Or, well, insult them, they can pick that up. It's not a bad idea, they guess. It seems to work for Vulturemask and Wolfsong, at least. But how? They're not exactly the best with words. Fucking insects, Silverpaw says, but they like insects, and they don't like Duskpaw and Dawnpaw. They'd rather spend time with bugs than the two apprentices.

...Wait, that's a good one!

How would Wolfsong put it? They always like the way he says things. All poetic and biting, something like... I could find better company merely by looking for insects underfoot or It is truly a wonder that the worms do not flee in disgust when they hear your voice. It draws a small huff of laughter out of them to think of. They try to tell it to Silverpaw, but... "Less'n worms," is all they can manage. They shove down their frustration. Close enough, they guess. It gets the point across.

ALL NIGHT GAMER

He waited patiently, a part of him wondering if Sunflowerpaw would even speak at all. But then it came, less'n worms. It took Silverpaw a second to decipher what they were meaning, then he sussed it out and grinned. "Good one, that's the spirit." If he was honest it had been pretty poor, but a start was a start regardless, and he wanted to urge the other on to expand upon it. "Maybe another could be 'I've seen maggots with better personalities than you'." He suggested with a giggle of amusement as he laid himself down.

The blue point allowed a gentle exhale to pass his lips as he let his mind whir with thoughts, eventually speaking up yet again. "You know, next time someone tries to put you down through words remember why. It's because you're higher than them and it makes them afraid, which is why they try so hard to knock you down."
