Silkpaw sits outside the nursery, her tail wrapped neatly around her paws as she surveys the small pile of trinkets she's collected for her latest project. Feathers and flower petals lie carefully arranged beside her, each chosen with the precision of an artist selecting their paints. It's been a quiet day in camp, and the new apprentice, ever the opportunist when it comes to creative expression, has decided it's the perfect time to pass on her talents to a younger, less-polished canvas.

Her gaze sweeps the camp, and it isn't long before she spots Asterkit, her blue-and-cream tortoiseshell fur looking particularly ruffled from some recent play session. The kit's green eyes catch the sunlight as she bounds toward the nursery, utterly oblivious to the makeover Silkpaw has in mind. "Asterkit!" The she-cat calls out sweetly, but with the authority of an apprentice who expects to be listened to by her former denmate. She rises to her paws and flicks her tail in invitation. "Come here for a moment. I have something special planned for you."

As the young she-kit approaches, she gives an encouraging purr and twitches her whiskers as she continues, "You'll love it. I've been working on my styling skills, and you, darling, have the perfect fur for this. I promise, you'll look absolutely stunning." She steps aside to reveal her collection of trinkets, her blue eyes gleaming with pride. "You'll be the most elegant kit in the clan by the time I'm done." Tilting her head charmingly, she doesn't wait for Asterkit to hesitate. Instead, she moves forward to gently herd the kit toward the pile, already envisioning how the feathers will contrast against her bicolored coat. "Let's start with something simple," She muses aloud, plucking a pale blue flower petal from the collection. "I think this will bring out your eyes beautifully." Her fluffy tail flicks behind her as she leans in, poised and ready to transform the unsuspecting kit into her masterpiece.

Asterkit was returning to the nursery after a rough play session outside when Silkpaw called her name. When she called out to her, Asterkit turned, beaming brightly at her former denmate. She was more inclined to go inside the nursery and rest after tussling with her siblings, but Silkpaw's slight authoritative tone is hard to ignore. "It won't take long will it?" Asterkit asked, gently. "My paws are tired." She was glad to spend time with the older cat and certainly didn't want to seem rude, but she was feeling a little fatigued.

Silkpaw assures her that she will love whatever it is she has planned and speaks with such confidence that she could not possibly be wrong. The mention of being used to practice her styling skills on Asterkit makes her whiskers twitch in amusement, even more so, when Silkpaw proudly reveals her various trinkets. Back when Silkpaw was still a kit in the nursery, Asterkit had become accustomed to her collecting flowers and feathers, using them to pretty up the nursery or other parts of camp. It does not surprise her that she still collects such things. Asterkit is gently herded towards the pile, her own eyes scanning over the various things in front of her, whilst her friend plucked a blue flower petal from the collection. "That does look pretty," She conceded, looking at it with interest. "What else did you have in mind?"

Silkpaw's whiskers twitch with delight at Asterkit's curiosity and she carefully tucks the blue petal behind the kit's ear, tilting her head to examine how the soft hue complements her fur. "Oh, this is going to be absolutely divine," She murmurs as she envisions the finished look. "Don't you worry, darling," She continues in an encouraging yet decisive tone. "You won't even need to lift a paw. I'll have you looking like a StarClan vision before you can say 'rabbit's tail.'" With a flick of her long tail, she picks up a delicate white feather next. Placing it in Asterkit's shoulder fur, she steps back to inspect her handiwork. "Oh my stars, look at you!" She exclaims dramatically, bringing a paw to her chest as if she might swoon. "You're practically glowing already! It's like I've uncovered a hidden gem!"

She immediately lets her eyes sweep over the pile once more. Her paw delicately hovers over a cluster of soft yellow petals before selecting a pale cream one between her toes. "This, I think, will be the final touch for now," She says, tucking it neatly behind the tortoiseshell's ear with the blue petal she placed there earlier. "Perfect for drawing attention to your lovely eyes. Green is so underrated, don't you think?" The apprentice sits back, her blue eyes sparkling as she admires her work. "Sooo…what do you think? Too much, or just right?" She asks with an eager grin, though her tone suggests she already knows the answer. Of course it's just right. But the younger cat's approval means the world to her, even if Silkpaw can't help but indulge in her own pride.

Asterkit complies willingly to whatever Silkpaw wishes to do with her. She trusts her former denmate enough to know that this was harmless fun and that she wouldn't get hurt by this decorating. After the petal behind her ear, a feather is placed in her shoulder fur, which Silkpaw proceeded to gush about when she stood back to admire it. "Do I look like a star?" Asterkit asks, her eyes twinkling with joy and merriment.

The final touch to Silkpaw's decoration is a small cream petal, tucked behind her ear with the blue petal from earlier. When Silkpaw steps back, once again admiring her work, she asks Asterkit what she thinks. "I can't see the petals," Asterkit pointed out, "but I love the feather!" And she really did - both the delicacy and the colour. The white stood out against the hur of her fur. "You did a good job!" Asterkit complimented. "Next time I think you should add even more flowers!"
