Twilight is falling over the forest as the shadow-pelted warrior leads her patrol through the oaks, first to ShadowClan and then around to WindClan. Thankfully, their patrol had not encountered any ShadowClanners but even more thankfully they had seen no signs of the monsters that plagued the cats of the marshes. Boars were bad enough, she cannot imagine what kind of damage a bear could do, let alone three. She shudders as she thinks about it, but unwilling to allow her mind to drift to such a dark place she presses on, hoping that their WindClan patrol would be just as uneventful.
They were different kinds of monsters over there, steeling away into the night to attack cats as they lay sleeping. She was glad that her mother had denied them, though it worried her to think about what could have potentially happened that night should Sootstar had chosen to take her anger out on ThunderClan instead.
It feels good to be with her daughter, she is glad that Moonpaw had asked to tag along, though she wasn’t sure where her brother had left off in her training and she didn’t want to assume her daughter knew less than she did, so she spends most of the patrol in idle chit chat with her. When they reach the border she opens her mouth and says "Lets try and make this quick" with a flick of her tail, her nerves evident by the way her green eyes scan the moorlands for any cats. She knows the likelihood of them running into a passing patrol was high, but really she would rather not. She had no pleasantries to exchange with the cats of WindClan today.
