This would be his first hunt as a warrior, how exciting that was!. Basilshower was on a extremely good mood, the best he had been on for quite some time to be honest!. Becoming a warrior at last had sparked something back inside of him, previous doubts gone for the moment. Something good had happened finally to his life, it was worth clinging on to. Now he had something to brag about, to know he was one of them, for sure things would start to look up for him from this point!. It had to, surely he deserved this. Even Ternstar agreed. It was no doubt about it. Basilshower was gonna become something in this clan so all of them would contunie to see him, so he would stand in the spotlight again and Lividsmoke....he could be the one watching him from the shadows for once!. Yes, he had decided he was gonna become something, everything he had always been told he never would be!.

That was why he grinned so widely that day, despite the frostbitten coldness that made his his whole body shiver he kept on pushing forward despite how luck not seemed to be on his side this hunt. (it rarely was). This hunt turned out to be a lot more difficult than he had predicted it to be. It was frustrating, and as the cold winds became worse and the evening sun were kreeping closer to disappear from the horizon the patrol had decided to give up, and return back to camp. " You guys head back first!, i will stay out a bit longer." he announced proudly, not yet willing to give up as he had yet not captured even one frog!. The patrol looked back at him, one looking a bit concernd. " But a snowstorm are approaching, you really shouldn't be out here alone for that much longer." Basilshower grinned at them. " I will be fine!. I will be back before the storm arrives!." he tried to ensure them as he felt rather brave in that moment and not being a coward like his patrol mates was.

The warrior nodded thier head, giving in and with a 'be careful' as the departing words the patrol left Basilshower behind as they made their way back to the safety of camp. He wouldn't waste much time to stay around as he turned the opposite direction to contunie on his sole hunt now as the sky become darker and darker and the snow started to fall down from the sky....

Basilshower had been out for quite a while now following trails of preys that lead him nowhere except one, and before he knew it had ended up by the thunderpath as he just had succeeded to hunt down a mouse. The only prey he had been able to catch. Had he...really gone this far?. A cold wind suddenly blowed through his face and he closed his eyes the warriors whole body shivered. It was really starting to get cold!. Perhaps he should head on back now...even if he had been hoping to catch more then just one scrawny mouse...Basilshower turned tail as he was on his way back with the mouse that he at least could feel proud over to have caught aaaaaall by himself!.

It was then the snow started to get worse and Basilshower found it more difficult to see through this snow. He narrowed his orbs and in the sleet mixed weather saw a figure, a shadow figure standing there watching him. Who was that?. Basilshower narrowed his orbs even more trying to recognize this strange shadow. He stopt when he realized the shadow was moving towards him, and as he titled his head a bit to the side his eyes started to widen when the shadow started to reveal its face in the pouring snow as they stared them down with not so friendly intentions.

They had been following them into the night as they welcomed the darkness in for this one moment. A cold merciless night like this....it fitted them perfectly. Lividsmoke stared at thier brother in the dark before stepping outside to reveal thier presence during the snowstorm. Basilshower looked suprised, rightfully so. " Brother, what're you doing here?." He asked them, still adressing them as brother despite everything. No matter what they decided to say thier message never seemed to fully reach them. Words were never enough for them to understand.

Lividsmoke started to approach closer to the grey tom and without even a word spoken the warrior lifted a paw up and they slashed thier kin right across his face. Payback was always best served cold. A scar for a scar. Basilshower yelped, droping the mouse as they crounched down before them, and watching they did with thier ice cold judging stare. Tonight there was no patience left in them, no mercy to be given to their own kin. Lividsmoke had given them multiply chances, opportunities but all of that would come to an end now.

" In order of Ternstar i'm here to execute you Basilpaw because you've been doomned unworthy of being a warrior of shadowclan." They spoke thier lies with ease, with no remorse. Sometimes a lie was better for the greater good. The message would come across more impactful if it was a superior who had given the order. If Basilshower believed this clan wanted him dead, if Ternstar herself wished him dead then surely the message would be taken more seriously. Already that paranoia was rooted inside of them so it was easy to pull that back out.

" Wh-what?, No, that cannot be, y-you're lying!!." Basilshower hissed, looking confused but not entierly buying it. Lividsmoke would narrow thier eyes at them. Of course they hadn't planned to just relay on these words alone, after all they knew how Basilshower could be. They unexpectedly, and suddenly lunged themself at him without much of a warning and after having manged to get them pinned Lividsmoke placed a paw to press down at his chest just in the same way that thunderclan warrior had done.

" You don't think i'm being serious right now?. You honestly believe this clan have forgiven what you did, how you cowardly ran away from the battle like a scared kittypet." Lividsmoke pressed thier paw further down as they allowed thier claws out to dig into the skin. Head got lowered to match thier level to glare the grey tom straight in the eye. " Needledrift, my former mentor is dead because of your cowardice." Basilshower in panic started to grap at Lividsmoke's paw his eyes widened and fearful. It didn't even seem like he was seeing them right now but somebody else, a chocolate tabby perhaps. A woken memory of a unplesant time. " Pl-please d-don't do it!." he started to beg, to plead.

Lividsmoke lifted their head back up again as they contunie to glare them down through thier sobbings and pathetic pleading. It disgusted them to witness, to know the two of them shared the same blood. Even in a moment like this when Basilshower knew the relationship they had once shared with Needledrift no matter how short it might have been, thier brother did not apologize like most would do in this situation, no matter if they believed themself to be guilty or not. Instead he plead for thier own life, only caring about thier own life right now. That was the type of person their brother was and had always been. Selfishly only caring about themselves and nobody else. He had never not even once put thier feelings into consideration.

But that was not the true reason behind this call.

Hunger, that could be a powerful drive to get pushed to the extreme and that was exactly the reason why. Hunger and frustration over their own clanmates unability to see the same picture they did. Shadowclan had done nothing but draw the short straw lately, and the clan contunie to move to the opposite direction to where they wished for them to go.

Lividsmoke had been left with no other choice. It was the clan itself and their unability to make the hard decisions that Lividsmoke now had to do it for them, for shadowclan's future. Having someone like Basilshower around would do no good for the clan, he was more of a burden, an extra mouth to feed in this difficult times then anything else, and now with that kittypet accepted in somebody else needed to go and Basilshower was the sacrifice that would cost them less. A warrior who run from battles, who rather saved themself than thier clanmates, who could barely even hunt. A warrior who acted through selfish emotions. A warrior like that shadowclan could survive without. Lividsmoke was not going to give away thier food to a dead weight like that. They where not going to allow Basilshower to be thier or shadowclan's downfall.

" You should have died on the battlefield, brother." With this words Lividsmoke lifted thier paw up ready to strike down the final blow to finish it.
