To say that Needledrift is shell-shocked would be an understatement. The conversation with Chilledstar had been far more tense than intended. A nerve had plucked accidentally, it would seem, a nerve that caused a normally neutral creature to turn into a hysterical, angry mess. Needledrift could not imagine what she had been doing to provoke such a reaction. Surely, it hadn't just been her tone? Had she been that outspoken, that mean, that awful? Did Chilledstar think her to be so ungrateful, so cruel to warrant .... that?
... and why would they entrust her with two apprentices as a.... punishment? Nothing about the .... argument?..... made sense and Needledrift would have screamed in frustration if her jaw extended that far. Instead, she marched over to where Tadpolepaw and Mothpaw were conveniently lounging, her tongue grasped between her teeth to keep herself from crying. It wouldn't be fair to her now two apprentices to put all of her emotions about their situation on them.
"I... I have a bit of news." She speaks around her tongue, the words coming out gummy and half-formed. "If you two have a moment, that is." @TADPOLEPAW @mothpaw
