— fur ashen-black paints most of haku's form, splashed in teardrops and flecks. it is rare to see his pelt laying flat against his wiry muscle- though he stays well-groomed, his efforts aredisturbed by his inability to stay out of harms way so tufts can commonly be found sticking out at odd angles. his gaze is both cold in colour and atmosphere- narrowed eyes look upon others judgementally, silently warning others to stay at a tail's length. flickers of light burn-scarring are traced around his left eye and onto his shoulder, and if asked about them a biting rejection spits free from haku's maw. he is tall, though often his neck is lowered, poor posture diminishing his height. when an uncommon smile curves his maw, it is taut as if held back, unaided by his bent whiskers.

— haku doesn't really know what to do with himself- so, he keeps quiet, withdraws. he looks for things to hate, unwilling to grow close to anyone.​

— this withdrawal leads to snippiness- even rudeness at times. haku is too lonely and lost and sad to care, even though he pretends that he isn't. he thinks he's pulling it off well.​

— he isn't. he's sad and he hasn't got the guts to go and find out if this sadness is rooted in something. fire scarred him and scares him, and he dares not go back to see what it did to his twolegs.​

— he wants to be friendly. he wants to love and smile freely. really, he needs it to get better- he needs to adjust or he will never be rid of that pit in his gut.​
