Roeflame and Raccoonstripe had departed from their meeting with Flamewhisker with the same order given. There was little time to waste, and it was becoming more of a struggle to retain the same empty demeanor the warrior had been carrying herself with.
Luckily, she had little doubt in her heart as the first of her targets wandered into Roeflame’s peripheral vision. Skyclaw’s lackeys were relentless with their careful gaze on her back, but even they were tactful enough to give a girl her space to make dirt, so when the tabby sets off in that direction, she waits for the hungry gaze glued to her to shift.
Roeflame keeps her gait steady, nonchalantly intercepting Palefire path with only a subtle hitch in her step. “If you’re a true ThunderClan warrior, you’ll follow me.” Pupils stretch themselves to the side as she speaks into a light tufted ear, ensuring herself under the wolves radar before continuing on her walk, past Palefire and towards the outskirts of camp, where they’d be safe from omnipresent ears.
