THE BURNT SYCAMORE MINI-PLOT
Greetings Shadowfam! I'm sure you are all familiar with the Burnt Sycamore in ShadowClan's territory, a staple landmark from the books and across various roleplay sites (including ours)! @rhosmari came up with the idea of the tree actually burning down here at the start of ShadowClan so for generations to come, this event can be retold and looked back on by the Clan elders. Below you will find an outline for our mini-plot which will begin August 29.
All dates are subject to change based on how long it takes threads to finish up. This is just a brief overview with approximate dates based on how long I think it'll take us to get through threads.
CHAPTER ONE - Bonejaw has a strange dream. The medicine cat receives a vision from StarClan about a flash of lightning and a tree. She doesn't know what it means but is on edge.
CHAPTER TWO - A violent summer storm lets loose over ShadowClan's territory. The rain is heavy, the lightning illuminates the sky, and thunder crackles overhead. The cats take shelter in their dens and pray to StarClan that their camp doesn't flood! Meanwhile, a patrol is stuck near the central part of the territory. They watch in horror as lightning strikes the large sycamore tree nearby, causing it to go up in flames! The patrol leader announces they must return to camp and alert the rest of the Clan. The wind is blowing the flames directly towards camp! The patrol fights through the fierce storm and makes it back to camp. After seeking Bonejaw's council who informs her leader of the vision she had just days prior, Briarstar makes the decision to relocate until the immediate threat is gone.
CHAPTER THREE- During the week, Briarstar sent frequent patrols to monitor the fire. Luckily, the rain stopped the spread and the flames did not reach camp. However, much of the trees and underbrush surrounding the newly-named Burnt Sycamore have been destroyed. The Clan fears what this means for prey supplies as the cold seeps in. Prey is already dwindling in preparation for winter, but this has just made things a bit more difficult. During this time, someone comes up with the idea of using the Burnt Sycamore as a training ground for apprentices. Since prey will not be abundant here anymore, it makes a perfect place to practice without scaring anything off.
CHAPTER 4 - The Clan returns to their camp. With the threat officially gone, the Clan returns to camp once again.

Please only apply for ONE position unless we end up needing to double-up, in which case you will see another post from the ShadowClan account and receive an announcement in the Discord.
