RAINBOWPAW
HE/HIM ✎ APPRENTICE
Rainbowpaw thinks of the omen presented by Starclan, a swan feather, and his mother doesn't hesitate in promoting Swansong as her deputy... why would one deny their starry ancestors? Who would be foolish enough to do so? Although, his thoughts shift towards the cream tabby's apprentice, Promisepaw, surely, the both of them are destined for greatness and it is best that they arrange an alliance between the both of them. It isn't exactly the friendship that the slate-grey denmate desires but the bicolored moggy knows that the other wouldn't be able to resist at some form of companionship and its what keeps his young mind ticking at night as he lays in his nest that's near Puddlepaw. His earthy-toned eyes unwavering as they focus onto the rise and fall of Promisepaw's sides to see if the other is truly asleep and even if he is, it wouldn't matter to the son of Wormwatcher and Ternstar as he pushes himself to his paws.
Nobody slept on an opportunity and certainly not Rainbowpaw, he's careful of not stepping on any of his denmates until he reaches the nest of Promisepaw only to use a six-toed paw to gently shake him "Arise Promisepaw. I have something to discuss with you." He doesn't care if he wishes to rest and to make sure that he doesn't fall asleep again, the large apprentice flicks his face with his bottlebrush tail before stepping out into the moonlight. If he follows then Rainbowpaw will lead him to somewhere secluded where no one would hear them discuss these important matters "I have a proposition for you." He allows the words to sink in only to watch and see if his companion is truly paying attention to him, he uses a paw to push down the unruly curls on his chest only to continue "You and I... We aren't so different, I believe that the two of us could become formiable partners to achieve greatness. I'm the son of a leader and train underneath her while you train under our newest deputy, Swansong."
A claw unsheathes to tap against the cool soil only to pierce it as he draws a line and lifts his claw to point towards Promisepaw "I will share my teachings with you to ensure that you're a good warrior by the end of your training and all you need to give me is your devout loyalty to me. Surely, you wish to make Swansong proud? Those are big pawsteps to fill in, after all... so, what do you say? Do you agree to this arrangement of ours?" He thinks briefly of Snakehiss and the lessons that he's been taught over the course of one moon, he had noted that some of what he had been taught had truly never been seen in Shadowclan and it fills him with some sort of satisfaction and excitement that he just might very well become the perfect warrior that Ternstar has always wanted. "If you do... we need a symbol to differentiate us from the rest. Something that's subtle but it is ours." A claw taps thoughtfully on his chin as his dark eyes look over the younger apprentice and a soft hum slips from him with pupils narrowing, he focuses on the ears of Promisepaw "Brilliant... I have an idea."
