HISTORY
Sage was born to loner parents. She was very close to her mother, and both of them were regularly abused and victimized by her father. Whenever she could, Sage’s mother took her son out on trips away from the den, and the two of them often stayed away for days at a time. This only made her father angrier, and when the pair attempted to flee permanently from him, Sage’s mother was struck by a car and killed on the Thunderpath. Too little to care for herself, Sage had no other option but to return to her father. With her mother out of the way, Sage’s father decided that it was high time to teach his son to “toughen up.” The battle training was endless and any show of emotion was met with criticism at best, and beatings at worst. Sage tried her best to keep her emotions bottled up, and with that, struggled with her identity in secret. She’d been unable to tell her mother that she’d felt like a she-cat before she’d passed, and the idea of telling her father felt like a gargantuan task. When she finally did tell him, it was during a screaming match at the end of yet another failed fighting lesson, and her father chased her away.
