I WANT SOMETHING JUST LIKE THIS

OOC- I am ABSOLUTELY going to preface this by saying im an idiot with no memory, and so your characters might be called by their rogue names, and they might be called by their new warrior names, depending on what was put in the patrol sign ups. Forgive this discrepancy and please pretend he's calling them all by their new warrior names <3 Patrols will also be lead by pre-established windclanners this time around just because realistically Dusk wouldn't make the rogues patrol leaders in their first round of assignments. That won't be the case next round, though! As always, patrol leaders are in charge of making their thread and tagging their patrol :D

The merging of the rogue group into Windclan had been a point of controversy for many of the Windclanners. There were some who thought it was wrong to bring in so many outsiders at once, others who didn't think the rogues could be trusted or that they'd be prone to violence and isolation. Their worries weren't unfounded, but Dusk still couldn't find it in him to cast judgement so quickly. After all, he'd been an outsider himself once, fresh tot he moors and thrust into a world he knew virtually nothing about. He'd done things in the past that would have made the Windclanners question if they even knew who he was, but it didn't change the fact that he was loyal to his core and willing to do anything for them. Among the rogues who'd joined, he was certain there were at least some who deserved the title of Windclanner.

Todays round of patrols was just as much about regular business as it was a display of Windclans strength. Sootstar had wanted strong, loyal warriors and she'd gotten them; now it was time to let the other clans know as well. With any luck these little outings would allow the former rogues to get to know their new Windclan comrades a little better too, which would only be a bonus in his book.

"Windclan, it's time for patrol assignments!" the bengal called as he strode toward the tallrock, taking his usual place at its base to await the other cats. Gone were the days where the large, scarred-up tomcat stood uncertain before the others, in its place a calm confidence taking root that left him now unphased by the eyes of the many coming to face him.

"Yewberry, you'll be leading a hunting patrol. Take Goat, Sam, and Shorty with you." One down, four more to go.

Hyacinth, your taking the Shadowclan border. Bring Spiritpaw, Ghoststrike, and Coyotepaw with you." She may not have been a lead warrior anymore, but she was the only established Windclanner on the patrol and he trusted her to make sure they played nice with Sootstars ally.

"Shrewtuft, you'll be leading a patrol to the Riverclan border. Take Wolfpack, Nutsprout, Leechpaw, and Thunderpaw with you." If he wasn't mistaking it would be Shrews first time leading a patrol, and he was eager to see how the young warrior did.

"I'll be leading a patrol to the Thunderclan border. Ghostwail, Spiderlilly, and Snowshadow are with me." He hadn't been making a very strong border presence lately and he wanted that to change.

"Lastly, and most importantly, the migration of the roges into Windclan territory seemed to have brought a few coyotes straggling in our direction after them. Weaselclaw, I want you to check out some of the tunnels on the western side of the territory toward horseplace to make sure none of them have tried setting up dens in the area. If you find any hanging around, make sure they get the message that they aren't welcome to stay. Take Coldsnap, Mantis, Nathanos, Jasperglare, and Aspenpaw with you. I trust you'll you keep her in one piece, and the experience could be useful to her in the future."

He wasn't keen on letting apprentices undertake dangerous tasks, but he knew that there came a point in every young cats life where they had to take that step from learning things secondhand, and experiencing them themselves. Weaselclaw had trained Aspen well, and this would be a good test for both of them, even if the pain of losing his own apprentice at the talons of a hawk was constantly urging him to shield the clans youth from such things.

♚ Being assigned to lead yet another patrol, it didn't surprise her- the trust Duskfire had in her, she wouldn't let that go unnoticed. She was thankful he trusted her, certainly, but it still didn't make her feel better. Her head dipped low in respect as Duskfire called for her to lead the ShadowClan patrol, sniffing to herself.

"You heard the tom. Gather up! Let's all head out." She calls for the cats of her patrol, tail twitching behind her.

Hearing her name, the ghost's large ears perked, pale eyes drifting to the deputy to look at him with a soft click of her tongue, an eyebrow arching in a metaphorical question. Fighting coyotes because the creatures that Sootstar adopted led them to their territory? Sounds like someone hadn't thought through the idea before going with it. Nonetheless, Mantissong gave a curt nod and began looking for her patrol leader and fellow patrol-mates, humming softly under her breath as she sought them out. Atleast she'll finally get some sort of action, it seemed the cold made her much more tired and with the prey thinning, her appetite was ravenous, wanting, desperately to work off a bit of the weight she seemed to be putting on already.

I won't apologize for being who I am
The boy's ears perk at the sound of his name being called by a cat he is not familiar with. Either way Coyotepaw slinks over to where the tom happens to be giving announcements only to learn that he has been paired with someone named Hyacinth for a patrol. Shadowclan, he's only ever seen them at gatherings but never had a chance to be anywhere near their borders. Mainly because skyclan was nowhere near them. Regardless, the cream tabby turns and quietly follows the silver and white tinged femme.
Tryna throw shade on me say a lot 'bout you

Weaselclaw listens to Duskfire's instructions with his eyes narrowed. His deputy tells him to head to the Horseplace and ensure none of the coyotes who'd slaughtered Gin's rogues had followed their rotten scent to their territory. He gives the Bengal a curt nod and lifts his tail, confidence clear in the squared-back shoulders and the high-held chin. "To me, then. We won't let those disgusting beasts anywhere near WindClan." He realizes Duskfire has given him mostly rogues for this task, and he has to say he's thankful. Less cats he cares about who could die.

As much as he hated to admit it, there was something oddly comfortable in the familiarity that came from things like this. Patrols assignments. Training session. Chores. Work in general was something that Ghost was coming to realize he craved like a bird craved the sky, and having something to focus on again wasn't terrible. 'Wasn't terrible' actually summed up his feelings for the place pretty well, if he was honest. The territory was good, the camp was well protected, there was enough food to go around, and they even had a cat on deck that was able to fix the injured. From what he'd heard, their new leader Sootstar was a bit of a tyrant herself, but he could tell right away that it was nothing like the Coalition. The cats here had far more freedom than the realized.

The towering feline would make his way over to Hyacinthbreath as the crowd began to break off into smaller groups. The mask-faced cat was always quick to learn who was who and to keep tabs on what was important, and where some of the rogues may have faltered in pinpointing just what cats they were meant to go to, Ghost did not.

"Ready when you are." came his gruff response, a curt nod offered to the shecat as he fell into place beside her.
