DO YOU REALIZE I WON'T COMPROMISE — plotting

Scalejaw's ears twitched as she approached the meeting. Chilledstar was at the front of their regime, so she stalked behind him, dappled fur swaying in what little wind graced them right now. And as the conversation of battle was raised, Scalejaw's claws flexed against the ground. She could give less of a shit about who or what they were fighting, but rogues were a good thing. She could kill without any kind of remorse or future grudges from other clans.

Despite the gravity and the situation, this would just be.. good fun.

A toothy and sharp grip found Scalejaw's muzzle as the conversation proceeded. Her vision shifted towards her leader, and her head dipped gently at their instruction. She'd follow it, of course, but she'd be fighting for all clans- if for nothing else then to just get their filth off of their swamps. "I'll be fighting as well." Scalejaw stated, turning her vision towards the rest of the gathered cats.

──ᨒ↟↟ᨒ↟ᨒ↟↟ᨒ── Wolfsong stands close to his mate, at whose other side is Sootstar. There is less friction than he had thought there might be, and the SkyClanner who spoke so trivially of Sootstar's life even pointedly offers to fight for WindClan. Perhaps, for a time, after they have driven these abominable rogues out of their lands, they will all know peace— though it will be brief. And while the absence of their journeying warriors is deeply felt, Wolfsong wonders whether it is for the best they have not yet returned, with nearly every clan's home overrun. It would not do to lose their lungwort.

Provided they have found it at all, he thinks darkly. Still, Wolfsong must have faith in StarClan's vision, and further faith for their clanmates' skill.

His true source of discomfort is remaining behind while Sunstride and the others battle across four territories. He does not wish to leave their kits, but neither does the prospect of waiting helplessly sit well with Wolfsong. Medicine cat he may be, he was once a warrior— is still a warrior at heart.

"Sootstar," he says, glancing at her from around his mate. "Shall I remain here, or follow our warriors at a distance? If WindClan's camp is to be taken first, I would like to ensure our herbs were not tampered with." Would that he could fight with them. They might be united now, but there is precious insight to be entering the other clans' territories with their blessing.

WOLFSONG of WINDCLAN FORMER ROGUE TURNED MEDICINE CAT. 38 MOONS, HE/HIM, NPC X NPC. MATES WITH SUNSTRIDE (07/05/2023). BIOGRAPHY, PINTEREST, & PLAYLIST.
  • ★★★☆☆ WOUNDS: You're (mostly) in safe paws. You'll know if he's less experienced if he asks for your permission to try a treatment. No wound can scare him away from knowledge.
★★★☆☆ INFECTION: He can prevent most infections. If you feel feverish, let him know; he'll hum thoughtfully over herbs and sniff your wound before saying, "With your blessing..."
  • ★☆☆☆☆ ACHES & PAINS: If you complain to him of pain, he'll ask where. If it's a headache, you'll likely feel a bit better. For anything else, "Try this, if you'd like, and tell me how you feel."
★☆☆☆☆ BROKEN BONES: At best. he can ask you to remain lying down in the den. He may try to distract you with conversation while he considers what herb to feed you.
  • ★★★★★ TRAVELING HERBS: Going somewhere? No worries; Wolfsong knows just what you need to stay hale and healthy during your journey. The rest is up to you.
★★☆☆☆ KITTING: Thanks to Starlingheart, he's better prepared for the arrival of kits, but any complications will need a little faith and a lot of luck.
  • ★☆☆☆☆ POISONS: It's best if you avoid eating anything unfamiliar to you— it's probably just as unfamiliar to Wolfsong. The best he can do is offer you yarrow and sit with you.
★★☆☆☆ ILLNESS: If it's white or greencough, you'll likely recover. Otherwise, prepare for odd concoctions and the usual request that you consent to a little trial-and-error.

The talk of doing something caught the attention of the white-furred apprentice, and eyes drift over to the slowly gathering cats from every clan. There was mention of them working together - that StarClan decreed there should be five in the forest - and her head tilt slightly at this. They were powerful and were the ancestors of the cats, but if they were not a thing would the cats not work together to get the others back in their own territories? Thought slid to the back of her mind as more spoke and cats from each clan mentioned they would fight, and for a moment Ratpaw stayed silent. She was bad at fighting and was more geared for fishing at the moment, but fishing wouldn't help get home back.

Small frown tugged at the apprentice's lips as she looked down at her paws. They'd work together but would go to WindClan first then RiverClan, and although she didn't like the idea of other clans going in to RiverClan territory she knew this was the only way - they weren't strong enough to fight off the rogues on their own. "I'll help too." The best she could, anyway.
