"So... you're not smart, you're just strong?" she counters, as though this is her only takeaway from it. But Owlpaw's laugh, the compliment, his playful attitude, it's all enough to make her giggle too. And what's more, he actually just gave her a compliment.
Then she pauses. "Friends for life?" she echoes, but it's not judgemental. Maybe more thoughtful. Honestly she's never had a chance to put much stock in the idea. Heck, Owlpaw is maybe her first and only real friend and it's only because, probably, they had this conversation tonight. "Do you really think people can be friends for that long? Even when they're like, old. Or have kits. Or... whatever."
But now he's scoffing again, and Sunpaw smiles a little, flicking her tail over her paws casually like she's finally settling in for the long night. "What do you bet?" she muses. "I'm not going to go easy on you, so you better not go easy on me. So if you win, what do you want? And then I'll tell you what I want."
