FIRE PROMPTS!

@Silverpaw. Dustyfoot is hardly the most patient of mentors. To him, there's a lot you have to catch up on. Your last mentor abandoned you, after all, and can he truly trust anything that a traitor had taught you? Even despite the flames, you're out checking on the tunnels where you can. But your latest journey takes you towards the gorge and RiverClan's border– away from the flames, where things are actually. . . peaceful. Enjoy it while you can.

@Lakekit. The fire creeps closer, and the wind that this clan once treasured has turned against them. Ash sweeps through the moor, and slowly, gently, drifts down past the gorse walls and into the divot of WindClan's camp. Almost like snow.

@DIMMINGSUN What a time to have a name like this! The smoke blots out the sun at most all hours of the day, and so soon after the eclipse. . . staring out into the moor in midday, you're struck with just how heavily entwined your name is to recent events. Is it some sign from StarClan? Are you some kind of bad luck charm? Or maybe it's neither, and all of this is a little bit silly.

@Quiet paw This will pass. That is what you said, as the sun was blotted out above your head. This will pass. While out on patrol, a particularly heavy cloud of smoke and ash rolls right over you. And it seems intent on lingering. Outside the safety of camp, does pessimism finally begin to weigh you down? As your lungs fill with smoke, are you still sure you can escape it?

@cottonpaw Your mentor gets the signs, and you get the scraps. You're trying to save the herbs, gathering what you can in the parts of territory not yet scorched by flame, and something catches your eye: a dandelion breaks apart in the gust of wind, pushed back against the fire. And the cottony pieces, once full of life, burn.

@Addervenom Your mentor has lost at least one life. The news comes back to camp quickly despite all of the chaos. He's the cat that tried to keep your head on straight throughout Sootstar's final moons. He was also the cat that struck the final, fatal blow to her. And now it's his turn to start down that same path. A thought of the sun, and fire, and soot, crosses your mind. Chase it.

@FEATHERPAW [cw: prey animal injuries IF THIS IS TOO GROSS LMK AND I WILL MAKE YOU A NEW ONE!!!] You're hunting. At least there's something normal in all of this. Until there just. . . isn't. You were tracking the scent of a rabbit. Then it became the scent of burning fur, and ash, and death. And then there's the screaming. It's– squealing, and you follow it to find an injured rabbit, part of its pelt blackened with flame, trying and failing to flee from your approach.

@Echolight Your family spent moons under Sootstar's watchful (hateful) gaze, and you returned here hoping that it would be a new WindClan that you could enjoy. It isn't quite that easy. Struggling through all of this, how do you keep your spirits up? How do you convince yourself, and your clanmates, that it's worth it to keep going?

@SOOTSPOT I'm sure it brings out some sort of feeling, this eclipse paired with the fire that now tears down WindClan's moors. Would StarClan have done this sort of thing to any other leader? To your mother? And is there anyone in this clan you could even possibly sway to your side about it all?
