    - large & well-muscled, cranecatcher is no pushover. he is built especially well for swimming, but the large muscles required for the task also lend themselves well to any athletic pursuit- such as hunting and battle, should there be need for such things.
    - fur is feathery and wispy; normally well-kept, too. he is pretty vain, but it's not unheard of for him to miss a strand of kelp or two after wading in the rivers

    - generally smiley, a bit of a mischief-maker but not rly with the intention to hurt others. well sometimes maybe. but not usually
    - definitelyyyy an extrovert he needs attention like cats need water. but he isnt really an extrovert in the like... bubbly in your face sense... more just that he likes to be around others / get to know them. can come off as somebody that pries just bc he has a lot of genuine curiosity abt things and no real will to filter himself
    - stoic in the sense that he doesnt often let his negative emotions / conflicting emotions show in his face. he is almost always smiling (though ofc is not incapable of other expressions). this is mostly because i imagine as an apprentice he was rly skilled and maybe a cat that other apprentices looked up to... so in order to be the best role model he possibly could for them he adopted this trait
    - rly naturally gifted in terms of athleticism & mostly uses this to get the attention of others that he craves so much. he has really lofty ambitions to someday be a lead warrior and maybe even work his way up to deputy / leadership. however his high standards for himself are also a cause of intense self-scrutiny that can really affect him when he feels like he's underperforming. could cause him to lash out against others without real cause
    - really likes ephemeral things. generally just fond of living & seeing the beauty in little things
    - not incapable of cruelty. but generally tries to make better choices
