NEUTRAL GOOD | ENFP | TYPE 2 (THE HELPER)
Celandinepaw is a dynamic force within Windclan. With her saccharine and genuine attitude, it's hard to find much to dislike of the golden-colored molly. Perhaps she may come off as two-dimensional in her purported happiness, but she is anything but superficial. She feels her emotions greatly and wears them like spots upon her limbs, one inextricable from the other. She believes that it is not right to hide one's emotions from another, and if she feels a certain way, then she definitely will show it. Some may describe her as "playful" or "kittish," though she simply believes that life is much better lived with whimsy. After all, a little bit of relief from the harshness of the wilds can feel like a lot, and she understands it quite clearly. Expressive and open as she is, Celandinepaw is not without skeletons in her closet...
Celandinepaw is not stern - anything but, for she has trouble taking things seriously at times. Her cheery disposition tends to bleed into how she views the world, as if she still dons rose-colored glasses. Perhaps there is still some part of her brain that has not hardened from downy fluff, some part that still thinks Windclan is an adventure and not a way of life. She is fierce in the way that a grandly-adorned songbird is, colorful and gaudy yet not ultimately a danger to those around her. This aspect often makes her quite agreeable to milder characters yet makes her come off as flippant and frivolous to those with stronger personalities.
Altruistic at any cost, Celandinepaw's biggest life goal is to help as many cats as she can. Ever since the barncats housed the resistance forces of Windclan during their civil war, she has been enthralled with the prospects of being in a position to provide relief and comfort to those around her. To her, it gives her the ultimate satisfaction, a feeling she cannot name nor replace. She journeyed to Windclan as a young adolescent in order to fulfill her own goals to help the moorland further. Her willingness to avail those that she meets often turns to a sense of gullibility, often believing others without thinking twice of it. She believes every cat has the capability to be helped, and those that commit evil are simply misunderstood or misguided. She wants to view herself as a hero, with part of the motivation being the sweet wine of admiration and the other being her passion for compassion.
Pacifism comes easy to the feline who grew up in the comfort of the Horseplace barn, and she has made a silent vow to never lay her claws and draw blood from any cat she meets, friend or foe. She is not squeamish around blood, not in the sense that a sheltered kitten would be, but she cannot stand the sight of cats getting hurt. The overwhelming scents and sounds of death and destruction are oftentimes too much for her to bear. She believes in a peaceful world, one where conflicts can be solved by mediation and compromise. Although cats were born with fangs and claws, there is no reason for them to use them to debilitate others, to her. Unfortunately, this tenet conflicts harshly with that of her home, living amongst the wildcats who have to fight for their every scrap and wager for their right to live. It is easy for her to feel alienated when almost every other cat believes that war is necessary for their survival...
Celandinepaw tends to have avoidant tendencies towards any aspect of life she does not like, as if the ugliness of the shadows would simply disappear if she did not look at them. She often refuses to confront that which is uncomfortable yet necessary, such as death and gore and her own incompetencies. She lets it build up inside her until it comes forth, tears welling and heat swelling. She knows she cannot evade them for long, especially from beyond the fence of the Horseplace, and yet she does so anyhow. Although she is capable of standing up for herself, she finds herself complacent to the grander scheme of nature and its storms. This trait tends to get her out of trouble, but it does not save her from inevitable tragedies of the future. She does not have a proper way of regulating her emotions, and is prone to outbursts and acting out if she feels overstimulated or stressed.
With a mind that sometimes moves a mile a minute, Celandinepaw often finds her patience running thin with those who fall short of her expectations. She doesn't mean any harm by it, she simply believes others would be better off following her lead than their own. She sometimes has some unkind words for those that push her and test her limits. Her own bullheadedness clashes with other similarly-stubborn characters, and she is not often one to concede defeat from any argument or dare. She will often try to push others to move along at her speed. If she feels it appropriate, she is never one to back down from vocalizing her opinion. Despite her nature as a prideful beast, she does have much consideration for her peers and her superiors. She will often minimize herself in order to fit in with the Windclan cats, wanting to relate to her peers more than anything. All in all, she just wants to be well-regarded amongst her newfound kin.
Faith
Although she certainly knows of their existence, Celandinepaw doesn't entirely believe nor worship Starclan. Even as she had gone to the Moonstone, there is still a part of her that does not feel it within her to pray to them. It all seems so unbelievable to the former Horseplace mouser - after all, if there were ancestors in the skies, why hadn't her parents or her friends told her about it? She has not told anyone of her lack of piety, nor does she wish for any cat to find out - for she knows it means certain ostracization.
