  ❀ SH Cream tabby with low white / Reference
  At a glance, it's not difficult to discern Daffodilpaw's relationship to Honeysplash - they both possess the same soft, cream fur, gently framed by white. Where Honeysplash is draped in snow, however, Daffodilpaw is merely dipped - covering his chest, up across his cheeks, narrowing across his nose and between his eyes, along each of his toes, and just atop his tail tip is a gentle white. His paws especially are often stained after a long day of training, though he's always sure to take time to smooth his ruffled fur back into place before bed and before starting the day. Lines of molten cream drip down his sides, breaking up the gentler backdrop of the rest of Daffodilpaw's pelt, once again reminiscent of his late mother, though his stature is ever so slightly bulkier. Standing around average height, his well-muscled frame livens up his silhouette in a way that his thin fur finds lacking, though he rarely stands to his full glory, instead preferring to slump and fade away into the background. So similar to Honeysplash in both appearance and affect, it's easy to forget he was borne of Chrysaliswing, as well - at least, until you look into his eyes. It's as if looking into a mirror, with a familiar set of mismatched eyes staring right back. Right a dull green, left a smart yellow, on opposite sides of that of his father, though his gaze lacks the intensity that Chrysaliswing bears.

• MENTALITY —
  Compassionate, driven, self-conscious, gentle, playful, people-pleaser
  Bearing a soft determination, Daffodilpaw does his best to put out the energy he wants to see into the world. While some might describe him as a bit too sensitive, he prefers to think of his freely-given kindness as an asset - unless, of course, you disagree, in which case, well you're probably right, he can be a bit much sometimes, that's probably fair. Ever the people-pleaser, Daffodilpaw is liable to agree with whatever he thinks others will want to hear in a bid to fit in and avoid rocking the boat. If it's hard for him to speak up on others' behaves, it's that much harder for him to stand up for himself - Daffodilpaw would much rather crack a joke to diffuse the tension than try to defend himself, especially if he buys too deeply into his own shortcomings. As his own greatest critic, Daffodilpaw is often hyperaware of any perceived stumbles in interactions with others, and though he may outwardly brush it off he tends to take more to heart than is necessary. Beneath it all is a quiet sort of resolve - whatever task he sets his heart to, Daffodilpaw intends to see it through to the end, no matter how many tries it might take. Of course, if it's too demanding, he's not above working at it alone, away from prying eyes that might judge him for failure.

• KITHOOD (0-6 MOONS):​
  All things considered, Daffodilkit had a fairly normal childhood, even in spite of Chrysaliswing's absence — well-loved by both Honeysplash and Florabreeze, he tried to make light of the hand that had been dealt to him at birth. Peppy and friendly, it wasn't particularly hard for Daffodilkit to make friends, especially considering his people-pleasing nature; whatever you wanted to hear, he'd jump to tell you, never wanted to step on any toes or rock the boat, something he hadn't quite grown out of even up to his apprentice ceremony.​
  
  
  APPRENTICESHIP (6-12 MOONS):​
  Apprenticed to Fawnwhisker, the newly-minted Daffodilpaw was eager to prove himself not just to his Clan but also to his father, but unfortunately, fate had other plans. Not only did Chrysaliswing continue to spurn Daffodilpaw, but shortly after his apprenticeship ceremony, Honeysplash went missing, never to be seen again and presumed dead. Devastated, Daffodilpaw found himself pulling away for a time, though after adjusting to his grief he began to reach back out, attempting to find some sort of normalcy in the wake of what had happened.​
