The raid despite how utmost important it was hadn't won them much more then an exiled medicine cat, a body to bury and two lousy herbs, if it wasn't for Skyclan's inability to fight fair then none of this would've happened... And distnatly in the back of her mind she wonders if Dandelionwish had truly tried his best to ask for those herbs himself if only he had pushed a little harder they wouldn't be in this mess and he wouldn't need to brave the loner lands after Vulturemask was all trained off and he was nothing more then another maw to feed. Maybe he had what was coming to him, he just wasn't fit for Windclan just a mouseheart among them who didn't fight for his clan and showed his belly when the going got tough with the other medicine cat's. If she were him she would've beat the snot out of the Skyclan fleabag for daring to refuse her, he was just a mouseheart who dug his own grave. The logic still doesn't sit right with her no matter how hard she wills it to, she believes in Sootstar believes in starclan and wanted to say her clanmates who opposed her decision didn't know what they were talking about or were too out of whack with grief to comprehend what they were saying like Galestorm. Also surely Sootstar would never endanger them if she'd known Riverclan would come to the dung-eating clans aid she'd never had ordered Badgermoon to put together patrols - and well Sunsetbreeze that was no ones fault but the foxheart who felled him, Skyclan knew they'd lose horribly if they fought like true warriors. But what could they have expected from a clan that went against starclan's will and refused herbs in the first place, they brought them to their border and didn't even have enough pride as warriors to face them off fair and square. And Sootstar wasn't a mousebrain and she also had kits in her, she needed a strong clan for them she was just looking out for them and trying to get the herbs the sick needed. She didn't do anything wrong...
Her tail swishes behind her, a nervous energy coursing through her body, she wanted to talk about it instead of hiding like she knew some of her clanmates opt to do but she knows better then to step where she doesn't belong and try to breech the topic with the warriors and potentially face the wrath of Lynxtooth, Juniperfrost or worse Sootstar for bringing up drama when it was over and done with. But she can make the other apprentices talk with her and if they even think of tattling or running away into their burrows to hide away from reality a few firm warns of warning or a more lasting one with her claws would convince them otherwise. And well not like they could leave camp anyway with the snow and wind currently keeping them snowed in so what else did they all have to do but mope and lick their wounds? She'd already snapped word to a few of them already to meet her on the far right of camp and as she padded over she could see a couple of them had already come, good.
She walks with a odd gait not quite limping but obviously showing a great deal of discomfort, the relatively deep wound on her side throbbed against the coating of cobwebs that covered it. ❝Sootstar's not messin' around is she❞ it's a statement ❝Do you really think she's gonna exile Dandelionwish after he's done trainin' Vulturemask?❞ maybe she'd reconsider, even if Dandelionwish said some things he shouldn't have said she didn't really want to see him leave but she also doubts Sootstar would change her mind especially after seeing a vision from Starclan. She wonders if all visions were really that vague, or could just dreams be mistaken as them and vice versa. She hopes that dream she had the other night of being chased by a hare wasn't a vision - she didn't wanna look like Rainpaw was bad enough one cat had gotten bested by prey.
