Though Greeneyes supposes he doesn't have much of a reason to attend this gathering, he still arrives at Blazestar's call, settling among the crowd to listen to this month's round of ceremonies.
And it's a good thing - the fact that he makes himself comfortable. Judging by the gaggle of kittens leaving the nursery to join them, this meeting is going to be a long one.
Orangeblossom's litter, Bobbie's litter, even the kits rescued from the Shelter, and then some - Greeneyes hadn't realized the whole lot of them were four moons old now. He finds himself glad he's not an apprentice still, that he won't have to deal with that many new apprentices moving into the den all at once, though he feels bad for his own apprentice for having to soon put up with it.
Still, when their ceremonies are done, Greeneyes chants along in congratulations. A long list of names, one that he has to take a couple of breaths in between. Stars, he dreads having to do this again for their warrior ceremonies - a longer, more complicated list of names, not simplified with the label of apprenticeship.
Speaking of warrior ceremonies --
Greeneyes turns to look at Sparrowpaw as their name is called, a pang of excitement for his friend. The brown tabby was finally joining him and Figfeather in the warriors' den? He supposes he's been too busy as of late to have realized this as well, but he waits with anticipation for their warrior ceremony to conclude, to hear the name they've worked so hard to earn.
"Sparrowsong! Sparrowsong!" he chants loudly when Blazestar delivers their name. It's a fitting name - Greeneyes doesn't think there could possibly be a more perfect name for the new warrior. He'll have to make sure to congratulate them later, but for now, he's happy they'll be denmates once again, that they'll be able to carry out warrior duties together.
