Do one more good thing every day. Give one more compliment. Catch a Clanmate's favourite prey. Thundergleam's words of encouragement echo in Badgerstripe's mind a lot these days, and it is evident in the way she conducts herself lately. She has begun to talk to her Clan again, do small favors, offer her help where it is needed. She is no longer a rogue within their walls - she is participating earnestly, and while the results are slow, they are certainly noticeable.
One good thing every day. Yesterday, she had played with one of the kittens. The day before, she had offered to hunt with some of her Clanmates. Tomorrow, perhaps she will share tongues again - this time, with someone different than just Sleekserpent and whoever he invites; slowly but surely, she is pushing herself out of her lonely comfort zone.
Today . . well, she hasn't done much. But she has something in mind. After a pleasant little scenic walk by herself, the black-striped molly makes her way into camp, nearly bumping into someone along the way. " Sorry, " comes the quick mutter - it is short and gloomy, reminiscent of her old behavior whenever she made a mistake. Badgerstripe shakes her head, as if to shake away the gloom, then lifts her head up to meet the cat with a small smile. No more sorry's. No more remorse, she thinks. She could turn this around.
To the cat she had nearly bumped into, Badgestripe looks over briefly. Give one more compliment. That's better than any apology, right? " Oh - you look . . nice today, by the way, " Badgerstripe muses in a lighter tone, while giving them a well-practiced, kind smile.
