Do one more good thing every day. Give one more compliment. Catch a Clanmate's favourite prey. Thundergleam's words of encouragement echo in Badgerstripe's mind a lot these days, and it is evident in the way she conducts herself lately. She has begun to talk to her Clan again, do small favors, offer her help where it is needed. She is no longer a rogue within their walls - she is participating earnestly, and while the results are slow, they are certainly noticeable.

One good thing every day. Yesterday, she had played with one of the kittens. The day before, she had offered to hunt with some of her Clanmates. Tomorrow, perhaps she will share tongues again - this time, with someone different than just Sleekserpent and whoever he invites; slowly but surely, she is pushing herself out of her lonely comfort zone.

Today . . well, she hasn't done much. But she has something in mind. After a pleasant little scenic walk by herself, the black-striped molly makes her way into camp, nearly bumping into someone along the way. " Sorry, " comes the quick mutter - it is short and gloomy, reminiscent of her old behavior whenever she made a mistake. Badgerstripe shakes her head, as if to shake away the gloom, then lifts her head up to meet the cat with a small smile. No more sorry's. No more remorse, she thinks. She could turn this around.

To the cat she had nearly bumped into, Badgestripe looks over briefly. Give one more compliment. That's better than any apology, right? " Oh - you look . . nice today, by the way, " Badgerstripe muses in a lighter tone, while giving them a well-practiced, kind smile.

Badgerstripe had put in the effort to discard the chip off of her shoulder that had been placed during her first night as a warrior, as well as Roeflame’s own former apprentice. The queen may be camp-bound, but if anyone asked her eyes were still all seeing, and the work the warrior took upon herself was nearly glaring.
Roeflame herself hadn’t been paying too much attention, it was only by luck that the brassed queen was able to save her grace and side-step what would have been a minor collision. Before the queen can speak, Badgerstripe is already apologizing, to which Roeflame only grins. “No worries!” The chime in her tone is bright in comparison to the youngers flattened words, but all is proven well when Badgerstripe looks to her with a small smile, even sparing Roeflame a compliment. Slight surprise glimmers in the lead warriors gaze, she felt as though her silvery pelt was shaded golden with dust at the moment. “Well thanks,” Roeflame begins, grin expanding into a genuine smile, although unsure what to say for a heartbeat. “You seem lively today, it suits you.” Kindness is always a pretty shade, and the other wore it well, but Badgerstripe wasn’t usually the outgoing type. Change could be nice, sometimes.

A tiny little smokecloud, Stormkit didn't find himself anywhere in a very graceful manner. His whiskers often-rudely encroached personal space, his head was often tipped at unnatural angled trying to catch scents- his path-finding was erratic, because of it. He didn't care much, and cats seemed to be a bit more forgiving of him thwacking into them than they used to be... no one really yelled at much since he'd been called blind that one time, a word that meant a whole lot more to everyone else than it did to him.

He crashed in on this little moment rather unceremoniously, though- Badgerstripe's kind words flicked an ear. Yeah, she was pretty cool ... he'd not thought about her before like, yesterday, but that was when she'd played with them, so she was in the good books at the moment. Roeflame looked nice apparently ... huh, well. Stormkit took a big long whiff of her, trying to glean anything different, but ... nope, she just smelled like normal boring old Roeflame. Boringly normal, like everyone else in the queen's den.

"She don't look any different to me," he spat skeptically, pulling a crumpled up face.

The way he feels towards Badgerstripe is... complicated. He had finished her training, but his mentorship had not seemingly been enough to guide her paws towards the right path. He had failed her. Perhaps, with time, she could move away from the mistakes she made but for now... he regards her cautiously as she bumps into his mates shoulder. A grunt leaves his lips but he says nothing as she apologizes. It is only when she pays Roeflame a compliment that his features soften. "She does doesn't she?" he says, leaning closer to Roeflame's flank in order to bump her softly with his shoulder, a smile spreading wide across his features.

Stormkit states that Roeflame doesn't look any different than she did the other day and Burnstorm turns his head to regard his uncle's kit with sun-hued eyes "Well she should!" He declares, flicking his tail over the young tom's face with a playful smile. "Otherwise I spent all morning helping her groom for nothing" He understood how hard it was to keep long fur untangled and clean, after all. He did not mend lending a paw to help his mate with her appearance whenever she needed it.
