[STONEPAW]

Stonepaw followed his new mentor out of camp. He wasn't exactly sure how to feel about her yet. The only genuine interaction he'd had with her before this was his poor attempt at sneaking out. He kicked himself for that one, daily, though at least no one was overtly hostile toward him about it. He'd mostly received support, oddly enough. Definitely not expected. But thank his lucky stars that the message had gotten through to Mirestar, at least. He was willing to believe that Smogstar just hadn't much experience deciding mentors before Stonepaw showed up. That would explain the horrid pairing.

He didn't dare speak first, he didn't know what kind of mentor Salamandersnap was yet. He tested his own skills in the meantime, parting his maw to take in the (albiet limited) scents of prey around them. Ears on a swivel, as usual. Who would he be to be ambushed on his first day with her? Please care about what I care about... he thought, rolling his shoulders.
