Gigglepaw doesn't think she's ever expressly disliked anyone, from ShadowClan or outside of it, for that matter. She's only ever seen chances to make friends, to grow alongside her peers and impress her superiors - after all, what good would it be to get into conflicts with Clanmates when they all had to live together and get along? But Salamandersnap was different, or at least had made herself so in light of recent events and the older she-cat's opinion on what happened.
To Gigglepaw, Smogstar might as well have hung the moon in the sky. She'd looked up to the tom since she'd been old enough to know what admiration was, following him around where she could and taking on mannerisms even to make herself more similar to him - stars, she'd even vowed to make frog eggs her favorite food in imitation of the former deputy, a point that she hadn't yet gotten around to making. And when Smogstar had disappeared, well... to say that Gigglepaw had been devastated might have been an understatement - though she was nowhere as near as close to Smogstar as his family and friends were, it was like having a piece of herself disappear with him. Salamandersnap's insinuations that he abandoned ShadowClan would not stand so long as Gigglepaw did.
Still, Gigglepaw was forced to get along with Salamandersnap as she did with the rest of her Clanmates, intertwined with her for better or worse. It didn't stop Gigglepaw from avoiding Salamandersnap when she could, though, and there were definitely times when she made a show of going out of her way to not have to speak with Salamandersnap - if it was childish of her, she didn't care. The real dissenter to ShadowClan was Salamandersnap the moment she'd decided to badmouth Smogstar.
Being forced on a patrol with Salamandersnap at the head might have been Gigglepaw's very idea of a nightmare, but she had no choice but to suck it up and go along with it. Resolute in her decision to dislike the older she-cat, Gigglepaw seemed frightfully out of character as she padded along, head down and a frown plastered on her usually-smiling face.
