*+:。.。 It was early. The sun glinted high above their heads, bobbing within foggy blues. Bonechill squints against the light, unsure if apprehension or excitement stiffened his chest. Once night fell, Shadowclan would attack. The young man swiped a tongue across his teeth, noting his sharp incisors while flexing equally powerful claws still trapped in their sheathes. He was confident in his skills. He would not fall tonight. So excitement, then, leaves him breathless and antsy, staring at the sky and waiting, impatient, for the shadow to reign true.

But he need only consider his family, and suddenly that squeeze of impatience becomes a stranglehold of anxiety. He's sure they'll be fine. His younger siblings have been trained well, and his littermates are too wise to be overtaken. With their mothers by their side, they'll all be safe. Yet anxiety holds no room for logic, his horizon stares since becoming a glare.

[ ༻❄༺ ] The attack on Thunderclan was fast approaching, and Snowlark would be lying if he wasn't honest about how anxious he was at the thought of them possibly losing more clanmates, yet Mirestar knows that this was next for the clan and the lead warrior would trust them. Yellow eyes drifting towards Bonechill who seemed eager for battle which brought the tom over with a gentle sigh cressing from his lips, bobbed tail twitching a bit before settling down next to the other. Eyes looking up at the pale blue sky, he had agreed to stay back and keep the camp safe from harm but it did not mean he didn't worry for his clanmates who were going's safety.

"Bonechill, come back alive. For your family's sake... and mine" he expressed before looking at his friend gently. He didn't want to see another so young, someone nearly his age or someone he was close to, lose their lives in battle. Bonechill was a friend, and one of the few cats he had grown close with, so losing them would feel... unbearable. A slight smile peering on his lips before looking art the bustling camp while everyone prepped themselves for war.

"This clan has gone through so much, and despite staying back. I'll be supporting you guys from here, and ready to join if you need it. But, please be safe out there" he expressed calmly. It was odd how close the two had gotten, Bloodwing had at one point thought there was something going on between them, but Snowlark enjoyed the silent company of the other... thats how he thought of it as that is.

*+:。.。 Bonechill couldn't tell you when Snowlark had become more of a prominent figure in his life. The last he checked, his close circle of people was his family, and his family alone. Still, the alabaster's quiet presence was not unfavored as he sat down beside the cinnamon-silver. Together, the two watched the sky, silent wraiths enjoying each other's solitary company.

When his friend speaks, Bonechill's ears would perk. The man did not fear the accusations that he wasn't a people person. If asked, Bonechill wouldn't hesitate to inform anyone that he fought not for Shadowclan, but for the lives within he truly cared about. If a demon swathed in shadows were to promise him his family's safety at the cost of the entire clan....well, Bonechill would sleep better knowing his family was safe, no matter the cost.

So to hear someone free of any ties of shared blood speak so...kindly, startled the man. He regards Snowlark as he smiles at him, feeling a contagious urge to twitch the corners of his own mouth upwards. He wants to tell Snowlark that it isn't his job to worry about Bonechill...but he can't deny the concern isn't unwelcome. For once, his thoughts wander away from poignantly on his family as he continues to watch Snowlark gaze over the bustling camp. He was...glad, the other would be safe from battle. If Bonechill had a choice in the matter, so too would the rest of his family be kept away from the slavering jaws of their enemies but...he was alright with Snowlark, at least, being safe.

Tail twitching until it finds its way bumping against Snowlark's little cotton nub, Bonechill nods. "I will" he promises. He's quiet, as he tends to be, before breaking the silence with a new carefully crafted sentence. "Thank you." He feels an odd warmth bloom in his chest, finding himself unable to stop looking at his quiet-mannered companion.
