camp MY FATE IS LOSING ITS PATIENCE — rebelling

She can barely walk without help, but as soon as she hears the call from Ember, the broken molly demands that an NPC warrior help her up, take her outside. She couldn't believe her ears. Dandelion, her mother had told her she had chosen Dandelion because of his heart, he was condemning Honey and she was seething. Lemonpaw called Emberfang a traitor, and perhaps that's what hurt the most. "Maybe if you had all listened to my mother!" her own cry is just as broken as her leg, tears stream down her face and she couldn't tell if it was genuine anger, fear, or because of the tense atmosphere. She wants to go stand by Pollen, because Pollen is the last bit of home that Melon has. Pollen was mamas girl, and that meant... Pollen was her last bastion of safety.

She was always the rowdy one, getting in to trouble. Honey, maman, she had been so close to breaking. She had stood for the injustice, so if her own brother wouldn't, then Melon would. The young girl shakes with rage, if she were to be casted out alongside Ember, alongside her Mother, then she would not mind it, because she knows her mom would come and find her, wouldn't let any harm fall upon her (mama, please come back, i can't do this, mama, mama). "They have a right to speak!" no more than a small squeak, on her remaining good legs, she tenderly limps towards Pollen and attempts to push her face in to her mentors side, doing everything she can to hide the incoming sobs that wracked her body.
"speech"

Yowls rise from below. Some in agreement with her, most in fury at her stupidity. But Emberfang does not waver. Her claws scrape against stone, lips curling. The cacophony is dizzying, voices drowning each other out. But, at some point, Dandelionpaw joins her on top of the Tallrock. Asks her to come down peacefully so that they could talk. Emberfang laughs in his face. Poor, sweet, naive Dandelionpaw. This isn't how WindClan works. "Talk? Since when has talking ever made a difference in this shithole?" Emberfang hisses. This shithole, which was once her home. Why couldn't things have stayed the way that they were? When it was just her, her sisters, her niece and nephew, and Heavy Snow?

It almost brings tears to her eyes, recalling those simpler times. A time where they could live their lives without worrying about Sootstar and her posse.

Almost. But she refuses to shed a tear with the whole of WindClan watching.

"What we need, is to take action! To rise against this dictatorship!" She refused to be treated worse than the dirt Sootstar walks upon. "Who needs a ruler, when we have each other?! No one cat should be calling all of the shots! Every decision we make, we should make together! As a clan!" There are few and far between who vocalize their support of her words, but Emberfang would not give in. Her life is on the line, now; she'd better have made it worthwhile. If she could make even a sliver of difference, it will be worth it...

The crowd parts to make way for Sootstar, her silver-streaked face contorted into an ugly snarl. Emberfang watches her, fear twining her spine but she wouldn't allow her expression to show it. She expects Sootstar to make good on Weaselclaw and Hyacinthbreath's threats. She could already feel the sting of claws against her skin. Her muscles bunch in preparation. Whatever happens next, Emberfang would not go down without a fight. But Sootstar does... nothing. The tyrant pauses at the base of the Tallrock, and does not move. Hope sparks in Emberfang's chest.

"See?! Even Sootstar herself doesn't dare to argue with me, 'cause she knows I'm right!" The rogue warrior crows.

Whether he liked it or not what Honeytwist did was wrong and it alone was not enough for anyone to be hurt...whether he agreed or not didn't matter. Whether he thought Sootstar was a right pain in the tail, didn't matter. This sort of bold declaration was just going to cause cats to get hurt and he set his teeth in a clench. Emberfang laughing at him didn't sway him even a little, he knew what he stood for and he didn't care public opinion if it kept anyone from being shredded to pieces....

His eyes are closed waiting for a massacre to start, for claws to start unsheathing and blood to start spilling but it never comes. Amidst the cries of injustice and fearful shaking of heads and demands for the red molly to come down there is a strange and eerie silence from the WindClan leader herself.
Dandelionpaw turns to spot the her approaching and her sudden stop, she seems still furious but makes no attempt to move forward. If he knew Emberfang thought him naive he would have shot the remark right back at her when she declares its because Sootstar agrees and he has to withhold the sharp snort that tries to escape him because this is not a laughing matter, but it seems the claws had been eased for the time being and his fears that this would incite violence had not yet come to fruition. Sootstar did not agree, she looked like barely restrained stormclouds pressing against a shelter and wanting to shatter it. Sootstar did not agree, because she was stubborn and thought her way was right and he had been trying slowly to figure out a means for them all to get along without her feeling like she was losing her power...it was going poorly. No, she was standing there for some other reason and the only thing he thought would stop her righteous fury was the stars themselves. Dandelionpaw glances up briefly, unsure of how to take this epiphany, had she been told to hold back? Surely that was the case. With how viciously she had attacked Kestreltalon nothing short of a goddamn miracle would stop her otherwise. This was a chance to try and diffuse the situation before it got worse.
'Ya'll need to stop playing games and get serious.' StarClan was pressing at his nerves. "Ya'll don't shed any blood this day or so help me...!" Mismatched eyes turned sharply to Weaselclaw and Hyacinthbreath, if Sootstar wasn't going to make a move then they would and he hoped they'd be sensible about it. Duskfire, at least, would try to be...

I WANT SOMETHING JUST LIKE THIS

Duskfire was not a stranger to the law of tooth and claw. He'd lived by it for the majority of his life, and it was only after meeting Windclan that he learned there was more to life than just looking after yourself. One might have thought that living in such a way for so long would make you adverse to the idea of promoting aggression, but for Dusk it had simply brought about an understanding. Life would not be sunshine and daisys all the time, no matter how much you cared for each other or worked together. Life would throw curveballs and when all the luck had run out, nine times out of ten it was the most capable that came out still standing on the other side. And so Dusk didn't see anything wrong with strength, with force, with taking what you needed. He understood why Sootstar would want to mark her followers or punish those who appeared to be a threat, just as he could understand why there would be those who were against it. Not every cat was hardened to every aspect of life, and that was okay. It didn't make them less, it just made them different.

And Emberang wasn't wrong. If the roles were reversed and it had been Sootstars kin having their eyes torn out she would have been livid regardless of weather it was found 'deserving' or not -any of them would be- but that was life, and life threw curveballs. Not everything was entirely fair or entirely okay all the time, and it never would be. But Windclan, in general? It wasn't a bad place. Duskfire had been to bad places, and he'd choose Windclan and an unpredictable Sootstar every time over. It was just a matter of what was worth it to them, and for Emberfang, he wasn't sure windclan was worth putting up with Sootstar.

"What's your plan then, Emberfang? Your going to inspire part of the clan to revolt and wage a war against those of us who won't let you run Sootstar out? That's just more unnecessary death and injury, and right on the cusp of the cold weather when our herb supplies are most precious." he was trying to make her see things logically. Even if she thought this was something she HAD to do, it wasn't going to actually do any good if it worked. Sootstars warriors wouldn't allow any rebels to cut their leader down without a vicious fight, and if that happened then the clan would literally be tearing itself to pieces on the brink of the most dangerous seasons they had to endure.

"Your not thinking about this logically. Look at these cats- your friends and your family- you really want them to start a war over this that nobody will benefit from?" Because even if they somehow did cut through Sootstars most elite warriors and managed to run her out, what would they have afterwards? A bunch of seriously injured cats that couldn't go out to hunt or mark their borders, who wouldn't have enough herbs to properly care for everyones injuries while withstanding the harsh winter months ahead. They wouldn't last the winter, especially since the alliance between Shadowclan would fall apart without Sootstar, and the other clans weren't exactly fond of Windclan. "Just come down from there before this goes too far."

Yewberry felt his throat tighten and his form stiffen as Sootstar approaches. He can feel himself beginning to tremble. The situation was tense, and blood was going to be shed, he just knows it.

But he didn't want it to. Their supplies were better used for other injuries, not clan inflicted ones.

He took a shaky breath and hopped onto the rock Infront of Hyacinthbreath and Weaselclaw.

"Please....This doesn't have to end violently...." He squeaked.

He wanted to tell Emberfang the same thing, but he wasn't sure he could....Yell that loud. But you know what? He was gonna try.

"It's better to talk than kill each other, Emberfang!" He called, his voice cracking. He knew she was right about that not being how Windclan works, but he didn't want it to get to that point.

But....if he had to pick a side in all this....Who would he choose? He wasn't the biggest fan of Sootstars methods, and he thought the cats who worshipped her were kind of weird.

And Emberfang had lived here since before Windclan even existed.... He.....

He didn't know what to do.

His hair was raised and his eyes were wide with determination and fear.

He just wanted there to be no bloodshed. Was that truly too much to ask for?

He was glad Duskfire was reasonable, at least. He didn't know him well, but he was happy to have him around. He didn't give him anxiety.

Duskfire's words are met with a grumbling growl from Hyacinthbreath, the lead warrior continuing to circle the bottom of the tallrock. It was a standstill, and yet Emberfang was still bold enough to continue babbling about taking back their lands. Sootstar had given her a home when she didn't have one, and her loyalty to the molly was unquestionable because of it. She made something of Hyacinth, the cat whom lost her family and home. Violet hues watch as Yewberry stands in front of the two lead warriors, blocking their way- Hyacinth spares a glance at her fellow Lead before the sound of a voice causes her to pause.

Please, Hyacinthbreath. Don't let her get hurt. Don't... Pollenfur called out to her, the scarred molly looking over her shoulder to find the woman she had been searching for in the crowd. She was begging her not to let Emberfang get hurt, and Hyacinthbreath gives a pitying look over her shoulder at the dappled femme. Just like that, Hyacinthbreath is thinking more clearly- the anger over Emberfang having taken the place Sootstar should be simmering down. "Pick her up by her scruff and carry her off, Duskfire. We don't need a fight here, she doesn't deserve one from us." She suggests to the Deputy, taking the Leader's silence as her own tempering patience. They were her high ranks, they had to do it when she wouldn't. "If you get down without a fight, no harm will come to you. This is your final warning, Emberfang." She offers the stubborn flame-tipped molly, eyes narrowed into deadly slits. This is as much as she would bend the rules, bend her will- if Pollenfur wanted her to be merciful, she would. But she wouldn't be able to prevent the inevitable if Emberfang didn't follow through herself as well.

"We will not have Dandelionwish waste his herbs on you. You aren't worth our time." She meows softly, violet hues staring up at the dappled medicine cat. He was her friend, she wouldn't let him suffer the blame on this- let alone have to heal this stupid she-cat. Disloyalty shouldn't be rewarded like this. Her eyes search for Sootstar, squinted- she was judging the molly, harshly. How would she deal with this, in the end? Or would she make her high ranks deal with it on their own? Prove themselves to her?

"See? Even Sootstar herself doesn't dare to argue with me."

The idea of that being even the tiniest bit of the truth...! Sootstar cannot help but grow agitated with her ancestors, why did they hold her back? Why did they stop her from reminding Emberfang that displays such as this were not tolerated?! Sootstar knew this is what happened when you showed hesitation, when you showed restraint, when you showed weakness. Emberfang had spotted it and lunged right for it.

With each passing moment she feels the power slip through her paws, the control, everything she's built up in this clan was slowly being torn away from her. Her high rankings were pleading, bartering, compromising, and begging for the she-cat to get down, it was humiliating. She couldn't let this continue to happen- she couldn't let someone like Emberfang walk all over WindClan, walk all over her.

The fumes of her anger break the clasp of StarClan's chains to her scruff, and upon breaking the leash she's rampaging forward, ascending her throne, like a mad dog. With the intent to ravage Emberfang, she lunges forward with unsheathed claws, a high-pitched yowl erupting from her maw. Fangs would aim to pummel into skin, anywhere she could grab would do.

It would be a shame for either one of them to lose their footing and take a tumble... After all, it wasn't like there was much room for two battling felines. Yet the fall was the last thing on Sootstar's mind, she could see her crown levitating atop of Emberfang's head and she wanted it back.

Duskfire intervenes, with mention of her family. Emberfang stiffens with an unreadable expression. For all of her stupid bravery, she could not bring herself to look her loved ones in the eyes; surely, she would only find disappointment. Fear. Anger, even. And that scares her more than death.

But, Emberfang has always been a stubborn woman. Upon the Tallrock, she remains planted. "Driving that wicked she-cat out is benefit enough!" The flame point retorts down to the deputy.

Hyacinthbreath is next to speak, ordering Duskfire to drag her down by the scruff. Emberfang laughs, all teeth and no humor. "Hah! I'd like to see 'em try to-"

Something snaps. It is not audible, yet it is tangible in the sudden movement of the formerly shell-shocked tyrant. Fury traces every muscle, and Emberfang has not a heartbeat to react before fangs and claws meet skin. The force knocks her back, a grunt of pain expelled through gritted teeth. Blood trickles down her face, into her eyes, smearing across her chest. One paw slips from the precipice. We're gonna fall. There is no room up here for a scuffle.

But if Emberfang falls, she is bringing the tyrant down with her. With a yowl, her own claws would try to sink into the queen's shoulders, and allow gravity to fulfill it's duty.

And just like that, it falls apart. There was a brief moment where Duskfire thought he might be getting through to her, because if there's only one thing he knows about Emberfang its that she cares about her family. But he saw the fire the moment it returned to her eyes, and just like that any chance of this ending peacefully was lost.

Sootstar was little more than a dark streak as she surged passed Duskfire and Dandelionwish, lunging for the russet shecat, and Dusk could do nothing but watch as the savagry unfolded. He regretted not being able to stop this, but Emberfang had made her bed and now she'd have to lay in it.

Unfortunately, Tallrock was hardly the right place to be fighting.

As the two shecats locked together in a vicious attack, Emberfang began to tilt over the side of the rock. Duskfire felt his muscles stiffen as he realized she was about to fall, but he was spurred into motion when she suddenly reached out for their leader. "Sootstar!" he yelled, green eyes widening as he realized Emberfang was going to try and drag her over with her, and instinctively he shot forward to try and grab Sootstar to anchor her to the rock.

ooc- feel free to have him be too late to reach her if you want her to fall!

A glowering look is shot towards Sunsetpaw, but Echolight wouldn't have time to argue before the air turned eerily quiet.
Whipping around, Echolight can make out Sootstar- almost able to see the steam radiating off of the smoky leader.
Yet, she didn't say anything, and Emberfang took that as a sign to push forward, Echolight's heart sinking with each word she says.
In the moment the scarred warrior takes to look to the rest of her family, a yowl rips through the air, and Echolight cannot turn her head fast enough to see Sootstar launching herself at her aunt, a blur of silver until she makes contact.
No… shit!
A battle between the two has started, and a horrified Echolight watches as Emberfang slips.
She wouldn't-
She does. Forepaws grapple onto Sootstar, and the two fall in a clash of night and day.
Duskfire rushes for their leader, but Echolight is rooted to the spot, the fall won't kill them.
Gravity isn't what makes her blood turn to ice, it's the anticipation of what is going to happen after the two mollys get up that terrifies her. She needs to find Mallowlark.
"Speech."
[ WHAT A TIME ]

Yewberry trembled as Sootstar passed him on her way up the rock. For a moment he thought he was going to faint from fear. He couldn't handle this. He wanted to hide. He had to hide. This was too much HE COULDN'T DO THIS-

No no no, focus, calm down-

He tried. He did. But then Sootstar and Emberfang started grappling at the peak-

No.

Don't do it.

His voice rose in a frantic, chilling cry. "NO DON'T DO IT!!!! GET AWAY FROM THE EDGE!! BOTH OF YOU!!!"

All it would take is for someone to land wrong. To hear that sickening crunch....

If he ran to help he could make it worse-

But if he did nothing, then he was a coward.

He rushed to them. His teeth clamped onto one of them- his vision was unfocused, he couldn't tell who.

He pulled as hard as his little body could, even if it wasn't much. He had to do something. He couldn't do nothing.

"Don't do it, don't- Ah, fucking hell." Hyacinthbreath mumbles under her breath as Sootstar rushes forward, climbing up the rock like the practiced leader she was. Hyacinthbreath doesn't follow, she waits at the bottom with Weaselclaw and watches in horror as the two mollies turn into balls of hissing and spitting fur, patches of fur being sent flying here and there. And then they tumble, taking a turn for the worst and they fall together. Duskfire moves to catch Sootstar, and she hopes he does. She knows what a fall this height can do to a cat who isn't prepared, doesn't land right on their paws- even then, they'd be aching for days after.

What a morning- birdsong broken by baying, like a claw through skin, blood weeping. There was no blood in the air yet; yet. The argument- his aunt, the commotion- it was too much, too much. He felt stupid for not realising this would be coming, stupid for not noticing that she wasn't happy here, stupid for not encouraging that they defend their home from the intruders in the first place. Silver eyes rove about, roaming rapid- snap-quick from face to face, but how impossible it was to settle, to read an expression, lips parted in horror or exasperation! His aunt- she was up there, voicing rebellion against a- a cruel thing who scarred her subjects. They- there was no one backing her up. He had to- but what of the pain?

Choking on his words, the large tom had not much time to surge forward; their soot-painted leader took that role instead, speaking not a word of poison and letting the venom drip from her actions instead. Toward Emberfang she flew, and his aunt- of course of course of course she fought back. His heart made itself heard in his chest, thumping his ribs, blood roaring in his ears. She was right- they were here first- this was their home- but did that not mean they could not abandon it? He tried, he tried to make his home livable- keep a friendly smile, keep eye-contact, be welcoming so that all of his new friends would feel comfortable in this new place. But they were ruining it, they were destroying it

Mallowlark screamed. Dramatic perhaps for the relatively short height they were toppling from- and uncannily his face still bore a gigantic smile, more empty than it had ever been before- but his choking cry broke through the already deafening din, breaking into what sounded like laughing but was ill-toned- the very opposite. Sobbing fits were less common than the hysterical laughing, but they ached his gut just the same, and sent him toppling to his sister's side. This was unbearable- but could they leave, truly? Where was it they would go? If they left too far- there would be some he would never see again. Flycatcher- Dawnglare. He could not stop the shuddering sobs, hiding his face from his sister yet attempting to press up to her for comfort all the same. He had to keep smiling. He had to- if he didn't smile, who would? It was his emblem, his duty- keep them encouraged. Keep the optimism. If he couldn't, no one could.

Claws strike into the sooty molly's own skin, erupting a stinging sensation across her shoulders. Emberfang's paw slips over the edge, and before Sootstar knows it her blue paws are being forced to follow. Sootstar lets a pre-panicked hiss fly from her maw, her front paws go over the rock, eyelids shut tight fully expecting to plummel to the ground. Yet by a miracle she feels teeth grab her scruff, it wasn't enough to pull her up... but Sootstar handles the rest with the feline anchoring her to the stone. Front paws scramble against the side of tallrock, she can feel her muscles stretching to their limit, but she manages to get the majority of her weight back safely onto Tallrock.

Panting erupts, she falls onto her rear and collects herself before seeking out her guardian angel. Thankful orbs land on a bengal, Duskfire. For some reason she finds herself shocked, Duskfire hadn't appeared disloyal, but she likely wouldn't have trusted he'd come saving her should she ever need it. A newfound respect for the tom is born within the blue smoke, she mouths a thank you.

As the cries and yowls of terror die down, she peers down Tallrock, eyes landing on her now fallen on the she-cat who tried to rid WindClan of it's queen. Her lips curl in disgust, and with a shoulder still bleeding she rises onto her shaky limbs.

"...Rise..." It's almost a whisper, but in the timid silence almost anyone would be able to hear her, "...and bow to I, Sootstar, as your leader..." In her periferal vision she attempts to glance back at her higher rankings, blood was shed, she imagines most were not pleased... Especially Dandelionwish, but he didn't have to worry, no herbs would he need to waste on her infliction... likely not Emberfang's either. Sootstar cannot envision this going her way.

Even with her heart hammering in torn ears, Emberfang bears a smirk as her claws force Sootstar to follow in plummeting into the crowd below.

That is, until a flash of warm russet and black rosettes grabs hold of Sootstar. Emberfang lets out a hiss of her own, more-so of frustration than panic, as her claws lose their hold of the tyrant's shoulders. Skin and fur rip, leaving behind empty air, and the flame point topples over the edge, alone. The wind whips her fur, deafening the thunderous heartbeat in her ears, and Emberfang repositions herself in the air-

A shooting pain rockets up her foreleg as she lands heavily. Emberfang grunts, biting her tongue until copper fills her mouth, and her paws give way underneath the force of the impact. Onto her side, she rolls, heaving in the air that had been knocked from her lungs moments prior. Her leg burns, and as she tries to sit up, the pain flares with her weight. "Shit-" The curse is breathless.

Sootstar demands that she rises, atop her throne built on the blood of her subjects. And rise Emberfang does. With her injured leg tucked close to her chest, close enough to feel her rapid heartbeat, she uses her other legs to support her. Sobs echo from the crowd, and Emberfang wishes she did not recognize it as Mallow's. Her sweet nephew... He did not belong here, underneath Sootstar's cruel reign. None of her family did.

Her head snaps up to meet Sootstar's cold stare. The empress demands that she bows to her. Emberfang laughs, spitting blood onto the earth. "Fuck you." She would never bow to a despot like Sootstar; she'd sooner die.

His eyes shut instinctually but he forces them back open, gold and green blazing wide and furious as the WindClan leader ascends her throne with malicious intent and everyone just lets her go by, she's apprentice sized for StarClan's sake just scruff her! Dandelionwish watches the ensuing struggle and paces anxiously wanting to do something, ANYTHING, but there is no room on the Tallrock for two cats let alone three and finally in a last burst of motion they are in the air; he watches horrified, hears the snap of Melonpaw's leg again in his head as she's thrown down by the hawk and he realizes he doesn't know how to fix this. He won't be able to mend a broken limb, he has no idea where to even start. The ashen leader is scruffed and grabbed, yanked back to safety and he's rushing forward right as Emberfang hits the ground knowing whether she knows it or not that she did not actually survive this fall. She lived the impact, but the aftermath was well on its way to come. The chocolate tom pushes next her to try to see the leg she has tucked to her side but at this angle he isn't certain. There was no sound, no indicator it had broken and she was uncomfortable and in pain but not screaming in misery...
It wasn't broken.
Dandelionwish exhales a sigh of relief, a sprain was much more manageable and he shakes his head as he glances around the crowd of cats gathered. Mallowlark's piercing sob strikes him hardest, the cheerful tom losing his usually macabre smile was something he never expected to see.

His voice is low as he speaks, meant for the red tabby's ears only though he does not look in her direction, "...you're a damned fool." What backing did she think she'd have pulling this impromptu coup? Kestreltalon? HA! If only she had warned her family in advance what she was planning...organized....then maybe....maybe it might've worked. A proper rebellion. Was WindClan fixable with Sootstar? Was Sootstar redeemable? More questions he wished he had asked to the stars but he had no choice now but to do what he thought best.
Sootstar's declaration is met with an immediate lift of his head, quite the opposite of what she demands, and he thinks quickly of what to do. How to handle this. She was going to have Emberfang killed, she was going to execute her here on the spot. He had to do something.
His mind drew a blank, every scenario was met with blood spilled and he feels his breath hitching. There was no saving every cat, he knew that, but he had to try and so being faced in such a situation that he was backed into a corner set his heart jittering in a way it never had before; he couldn't breath, every voice and whisper in the crowd was so deafening he felt crushed under it and did not realize he was struggling for air until he'd sucked in a gulp of it that threatened to tilt him over the edge.

✧ CROWCALL ✧

Crowcall had been paralyzed since the beginning, terror evident in her owlish stare that remained glued on the Tallrock. Why was this happening...? Of course, Crowcall knew why—one called the other a tyrant, the other didn't enjoy the publicity—but did it have to end like this? Warring with opposing clans was a stress that Crowcall could at least try to shut her eyes to, only to keep herself sane, but now an anxious mind found itself envisioning the future, and she didn't like what she saw.

It may have been an overreaction to fear an outcome where she would be forced to choose sides between her clanmates and her leader—or worse, between her leader and StarClan—but to Crowcall it seemed like the natural way of progression. Something new and terrible would happen to Emberfang, and everyone else (who had nothing to do with it!) would suffer a similar consequence.

(And a more frightening thought still—did Crowcall even want to choose Sootstar if she added fuel to every confrontation that could possibly arise? Was WindClan worth this fear?)

Crowcall was silent, desolate even, as her head bowed low to the ground.

It all happened so quick. His fear ridden gaze watched Emberfang fall and he flinched as she hit the ground. Was she okay? Did she break anything? He expected to see blood when he shakily peered over the edge.

To see that she wasn't dead brought him some much needed relief. So much so that he lowered himself to the ground and let himself breath.

He just needed to breathe. It's okay.

No.

No, it's not okay.

He felt something dark stir inside him. An anger he had never felt before. He couldn't hold it in.

"When will this clan learn.......THAT VIOLENCE DOESN'T HAVE TO BE THE ANSWER TO EVERYTHING!?" His voice wavered at first, but rose to an angry shout. Sure, he was beside Sootstar and Duskfire.

This clan gave him such a headache. He was wheezing from anxiety.

God he needed a lavender bush. Like ten of them. Okay maybe all of them.

Yelling, screaming, god everything was just so loud today. Yet where others were adding to the cacophony of a half-assed civil war started by Emberfang's one woman army, or trembling in fear and anxiety from Sootstar's ironclad and crimson forged rule over Windclan....Oliveshade was just...watching.

No expression crossed her face even as Emberfang toppled from tallrock like a true glass house, as Sootstar bade her to bend to her authority. 'You'd figure that Em would've been smarter, or the 'stars' would've led the boss lady to collect some better suited cats for her glorified power fantasy.' As Oliveshade made herself more comfortable on her rock, head lain atop crossed paws dangling off the edge, one could most certainly say that the molly looked bored with the spectacle before her. She fancied herself to be completely on the outside of this touch and go that had been building and building over the past four moons, not above it necessarily, but it just didn't concern her. As long as she got to keep calling the moors home, she'd drag her feet with every order given, bite her tongue to keep from cursing out the rats they called children, and stay out of the alpha bitch's way.

"Fuck you."

Oliveshade shook her head at the words, desaturated green eyes flickering from the molly, to Yewberry's dam breaking and all his stress streaming out through his screech. This was her home, from the moment she had come kicking and screaming into this damned hellscape, and she'd be a fool to let some dead cats decide that some frazzled gang of hairballs got to say who stayed and who went. So she adapted. Emberfang had not. 'Its almost a pity really... she was significantly less annoying than the others."

And yet, something inside the molly trembled at what could come next.

What a fool she was, Sootstar almost thought Emberfang was actually going to say it when she rose to her paws. Instead she glared up at her, stared right into her emerald eyes and said "fuck you". Sootstar's blood turns cold and her head pounds with a billion thoughts, yet her facial features were almost ghostly blank.

Cries sound out from over the clan, that or horrified gasps, Sootstar hardly hears any of them with the blood pounding in her ears.
A traitors punishment is death, she's vowed and warned it to her clan many times before, yet in her cold and wretched heart she digs up something most thought was impossible for their leader to do.

Show mercy.

Well, if you called seperation from your birth-home, family and friends a mercy that is... Sootstar found it awfully more generous than death, but the longer she had to stare at Emberfang the more likely she'd change her mind. Sootstar allows her lips to curl, "Then I, Sootstar, leader of WindClan, hereby exile Emberfang from the clan. You are not to show your face on WindClan land or our borders again." Then she spins right around to face her high positions, Duskfire and Weaselclaw. "Get her out... get her out now!" Because if Sootstar had to be the one to shoo her off, she was certain she'd attempt to kill the flame-furred she-cat. Then to Hyacinithbreath she looks, "Make sure none of that she-cats family pull anything... if they try to leave don't stop 'em, but there will be no turning back..." With her orders barked, she expects them all to obey.
