Once the meeting had concluded she had deemed it fruitful if she dragged her new apprentice out into the forest. Hah! Her with an apprentice? She wonders how Stagsnarl will feel about that, given that her friend had always worked harder than her. That bragging can be saved until after she deals with figuring out what they should be doing together, her own apprenticeship was unorthodox. Preferring to do the bulk of the actual training under the cover of the stars, things like hunting had to be done while the sun was high of course. Fortunately the glare of the sun isn't too bad with this early frost, the days growing a little shorter gradually and the sun carrying last bite. She's personally a big fan of weather like this, though she will be the first to complain when snow blankets the ground around them.
"So, fox huh? Is Tanglefur doing alright?" Well, obviously he's not if he's unable to continue Finchpaw's training. This was a poor conversational starter but it was a conversational starter non the less, with a roll of her shoulders she weaves through the oak trees. Maybe that's a sore subject? Was he there? Golden eyes try to dissect Finchpaw's expression for any indication that she had maybe misspoken. They wouldn't apologise for it or anything like that, more so making a mental note of what to not say next time.
"He's taken you on a tour around the territory, yeah? How long was that if so?" They could start there at least, she thought about flaunting him around the borders but given SkyClan and ShadowClan's respective distaste for ThunderClan right now it wouldn't be a good idea. A little funny, but not a good idea. Her gaze flickers to the now naked trees above them, some stubbornly holding onto their warm hued leaves. "What about hunting? How's that? Or fighting?" She could help out with combat, something they actually should really focus on with all these border tensions. No apprentice of hers is getting their ass kicked by a non ThunderClan cat.
