— a creature of the night, batshriek is gifted with ears that are too large for her head and long, thin legs too long for her body. her fur is mostly sleek and well-groomed, with only a few stubborn cowlicks standing up across her back. their pelt is mainly a deep night-black color that shines rusted under direct sunlight, with a white underside and white forepaws. her right eye is a sky blue color that suits her clan, while her left is the yellowish hue of dandelions.

batshriek is quite the odd cat, which is befitting of her odd name. she avoids the medicine den at all costs, not wanting to risk catching any illness that a cat in there may have, and not wanting to see any injuries. she loathes physical contact, and will threaten to bite if others touch her. they tend to stay inside of camp, and avoids getting dirty when possible. she can compose herself when needed, and exhibits careful control over her emotions, not allowing them to rule her life. for the most part she is patient with others and shows immense care for their feelings, but does not stoop so low as to tell lies. she calls it as she sees it, and dislikes those who stretch or hide what she perceives as the truth. their social awareness and overall social skills leave quite a lot to be desired. she is not the type to make snap judgements or rush into things, and would rather hang back and observe situations before throwing herself into them.
↳ mannerisms has frequent leg tremors for unknown reasons. will occasionally start screeching loudly for no apparent reason. obsessed with order & justice, cannot stand imbalance and occasionally butts heads with authority figures. travels back to the twolegplace to roll in a twoleg’s mint garden.

backstory / simplified history
batshriek was born on the streets of the twolegplace, but was picked up by a human fairly quickly. she was bottlefed until she was old enough to eat solid food, and lived purely indoors with her family of twolegs until she was 18 moons old. then her humans brought home another kitten, and when batshriek didn’t get along with the kitten, she was kicked outdoors. they still fed her, and she still had a collar, but it wasn’t the same. so she did what she does best—she left.
she came across skyclan fairly quickly, and the rest is history. she joined the clan, became a warrior, and tossed that stupid bell-jingling collar straight into the river where it belonged.
