Hello, and welcome to the RiverClan Mass Adopt for FALL 2024! The adopts listed here are separated by three categories! The first is Relations (these are your normal FCFS adopts), the second is Connections (these are non-blood related such as 'former mentor' or 'rival), and finally a list of the separate litter/adopt threads relating to RiverClan so you have a full list of what else is available other than the mass adopts!

    What Are Your Adopt Rules?: - There are two paths that can be taken with this litter. 1. If the sibling ends up looking more like their mother than their father then Eveningnight would have doted on them and had very heavy favoritism towards them. So this in turn could have widen a gap between the siblings with Midnightpaw not being too close with them and having arguments, always trying to prove their worth even in the face of their mother's disparaging comments. This sibling can either have tried to help Midnight or gained an inflated ego because of their mother. 2. If said sibling looks more like their father then this would have pushed toward the siblings to be closer to one another. Both of which will make them have a more positive relationship and willing you protect each other through thick and thin. Both being raised as super loyalist to Riverclan and hating kittypets and rogues extremely.

    adopt rules - here is the original thread where i adopted these guys out! 2/3 of their original rp-ers have unfortunately dropped their guys, but thats alright cause i get to find new folks! here is a design used by an original rp-er, who has offered it to anyone who wishes to use it. it is first come first serve.
    optional theme - wolf, howl (after wolf's howl), wheat, barley, prairie, cotton, apple, lamb, cow (any sort of farm related name), sage (after coyo's mother), marsh (after wolf's former home), ripple (or any river related names)
    please no - names already existent in riverclan
    coyotecreek, originally cowboy, grew up on a farm with several siblings. he was always interested in the forest dwelling groups, but never felt the necessity to seek them out. when he met wolf's howl, a member of the marsh group, on a happenstance walk, he fell head over paws. throughout the moons, the two grew closer and closer. at one point, cowboy even contemplated joining the marsh group to be with wolf. before this could come to fruition, tensions rose within the forest. outsiders were less welcome than they had been, and the two decided cowboy would be better off at the barn. a few moons before the great battle, wolf announced they were pregnant. they gave birth only a moon before the battle, and cowboy only saw them once before the fight. when his partner died in the great battle, cowboy packed up his life at the farm and moved to the marsh to be with his children. he took them to riverclan, with the idea that it would be the easiest place to not be constantly reminded of wolf. now, the children are warriors, and cowboy is coyotecreek of riverclan.

    Age/Aging Rules: - Must be at least 40 moons, around the same age as each other. Ages realistically
    Genetics: - Sire: SH black w/ low white (carrying longhair, cinnamon)
    Dam: LH white (masking cinnamon torbie; carrying solid)
    What Are Your Adopt Rules?: - The two of them would have been very warrior cats book-esque! Their sire wasn't super active in their lives as kits, at most would have had small conversations with them when dropping off food for them/their mother, and since Moonbeam and Rowan were apprenticed before the six moon rule took place that didn't last very long! Dam was very doting on them as kits, told them the stories of the great battle and RiverClan traditions (flower meanings, made sure they were prettied up with scales on special occasions, the mating stone tradition, etc), but once they were apprenticed she stopped being a huge part of their lives. Is still cordial, is still friendly and can sometimes do stuff like rasp her tongue on their heads but cannot overstep in their lives. Her time raising them is done, they are now considered equals/clanmates who happen to share blood.

    What Are Your Adopt Rules?: original adopting thread! kestrel's owner left the servers and hasn't been played since! no official rules as it can be a casual/secondary or main character! they were born september 2023, their father died by rogues before they turned 4 in early january and their mother joining a little after they turned 4 in late january/early feburary. they graduate in october! they've been loved and spoiled by trout ever since the loss of their parents.

    - at least in kithood, cherrytwist and this character would've played heavily upon being 'twins' - always doing everything together, matching their likes/dislikes, only playing together and ignoring everyone else etc. after being forcibly separated by having different mentors, y/c could have kept that up or grown out of it, it's up to you

    RiverClan is the clan that presented the code that "ELDERS, QUEENS, SICK OR INJURED CATS AND KITS MUST BE FED BEFORE APPRENTICES AND WARRIORS. UNLESS THEY HAVE PERMISSION, APPRENTICES MAY NOT EAT UNTIL THEY HAVE HUNTED TO FEED THE ELDERS."
    Cicadastar proposed this code after accepting in a colony of cats who looked to their elder's for guidance and wisdom. As such RiverClan has a very strong respect and culture surrounding their elders.
    Elders in RiverClan will be called to offer advice to the leader, teach the next generation to weave nests, offer assistance to queen's teaching their kits to swim for the first time, they decorate newly named warriors for their vigils, prepare bodies for burial, and tell stories of cats long past to keep their memory alive.

Barbelstream was once in a loving relationship with her long-time mate but after a messy break-up due to conflicted feelings about the addition of kittypets to their ranks, she has been holding a bit of a grudge and doesn't often sleep in camp anymore.

He has a natural talent for SWIMMING but struggles to hunt successfully, which has caused significant delay in his training. He has a habit to over-assume his position with others in a bet to make friends easier but doing so, often neglects practicing skills that are important for warriorhood. He likely won't be graduating on time...

They have a natural talent for STORY-TELLING after spending a lot of time with the elders when they were an apprentice. They are a great conversationalist with ideas of grandeur that encourage them to behave recklessly in hopes of getting another great story to share... which has left them significantly scarred and no stranger to the medicine cat's den.

    THICKETPATH is a SMALL SH CALICO CAT with BROWN EYES who is 70 MOONS OLD. She has a natural talent for TEACHING after many moons of practice and the experience of several past apprentices. He is incredibly strict and tends to speak with an emotionless rasp... Generally, they are not very friendly but love to partake in sharing tongues as a show of care for their clan.

personality.
a cat who speaks up for those who struggle with finding their voice, but not in the way that's overstepping. he very much would act as an amplifier. his goals are not to take the reigns from someone and speak on their behalf because it feels wrong in the sense that how could he speak for someone else? heronswoop very much plays a supportive role when it comes to more vulnerable clan members, but do not be mistaken. he is not afraid to hold his own and speak back when needed. for one, he would be beyond furious if someone was constantly spoken over or ignored for any reason, so expect him telling everyone to be quiet and let said clanmate speak and voice their thoughts. a cheerful warrior who looks out for his friends and family. the type of warrior to take on multiple tasks without hesitation, but do forgive him for being all over the place and seemingly scatterbrained. he's most likely mixing up facts or orders due to trying to take on everything put on his paws.

marsh colony elder YIPPEEEE

HRLP I FORGOT APPEARANCE UM IM STILL THINKING OF THAT
known specifically for her skill in combat throughout being a marsh colony & riverclan warrior. was already a senior warrior when the clans were formed. loves to compete with warriors and apprentices still in spars; moved into the elders den solely because her other friends were there (and definitely not after injuring her paw while traversing river rocks). very spunky still, but has gotten gentler with her words after the passing of her mate morelwave a year prior.
 

MOSQUITOBELLY. formerly hattie, the longterm kittypet of a couple grown elderly themselves. had been dumped on the outskirts of the pine colony territories by their daughter, heavily pregnant after a venture outside, as the couple wouldn’t accept the fact that they couldn’t take care of her physically or financially anymore ——— a stout, heavy - set blue molly with splotches of chocolate tabby striping and two-toned eyes. 110 moons old. inherited duplicated pinnae from her mother, juniper.

initially a meek, skittish molly, tensed to jump at the slightest sound, having to rely heavily on the strangers around her during a particularly tumultuous time. she gives birth on the night of the great battle, a night of terror that still haunts her nightmares well into old age but despite her unfortunate beginning, colony life taught her the importance of community ; rain and his colony accepted her without question despite their tumultuous state, instilling a deep sense of appreciation and faith in her peers. a kind, handsome warrior by the name of alder vowed to her secretly to raise her kittens as his own should he return from the battle alive. when he does, they settle as mates. they venture to riverclan in honor of alder’s lineage, settling on the water as his family had for generations.

former permaqueen, moved to the elders den after significant difficulty during her last pregnancy. declawed in her front paws leading to worsening arthritis in her old age and a near full dependency on her clanmates. a gentle, fussing soul, all tired eyes and tender smiles. meek until it comes to kits or a particularly unruly apprentice, and still well able to wrangle her fellow elders should they chide an apprentice too far. socially, she feels as though she has already found her love and place in this world ; her peace is made with her age, the finality of the race she’s close to winning and is merely here to enjoy her waning days. her true dream is only to be reunited with her late mate, dutifully named aldersplash, who’d passed in the rogue invasion by holding them off long enough for her to escape through the back of camp.

    a plump tabby - splotched grey molly with bicolored eyes. a relatively new addition to the elder’s den, she takes advantage of the spring still left in her aging bones by fussing both with and at her well aged peers. retiring from the nursery after life-threatening difficulties during her last litter, her mantle has shifted from raising her own to mother henning the poor apprentices that saunter in for chores. aptly named for her wing - like set of duplicated pinnae and her warm, encouraging spirit, mosquitobelly has settled well into her old age, finding solace in sharing her experience and wisdom with the young queens and ever - rambunctious kits of riverclan after the recent passing of her beloved mate, aldersplash.

    ↪ scrawny but strong, it is clear that this she-cat was a great beauty in her prime. soft, charcoal fur coats the wiery body, small flecks of flame and caramel blending smoothly into darker fur. leaf-green eyes peer from her patchy face, usually glaring with a baleful judgement. this feline carries herself with confidence- even as her body begins to decline in old age, she still holds herself with a haughty strength. several scars litter her muzzle, one in particular scouring through her right eye, although it has not left her blind. other nicks and scratches appear on her flanks and paws, a sign of a seasoned fighter. ​

named "reed" for his dark brown coat like the end of a reed. given "strike" due to his fierce combat prowess.

looks
large, dark brown marbled tabby with nicks and scars scattered across his long pelt. with large paws that were clunky as a kit but fit his large physique at 24 moons old, they are still a bit of a sore spot on his ego from when he used to trip over them. reed has a large jagged 'x' scar across his nosebridge that kind of splinters between his piercing amber eyes, and besides the large nick in his ear, his face is rather handsome. while he has large shoulders and frame, which give him a bit of an intimidating dark & large appearance, anyone who knows him doesn't hesitate to mess with him, especially because he likes to mess right back.

if you're wondering why he has so many little scars across his body, it's from his mouth. no, literally, he can't keep his mouth shut. reedstrike is cocky and runs his mouth, thankfully now he can back it up, but that wasn't always the case. as a kit and apprentice, his personality was twice his size and he has a passion for messing with other cats, clanmates or not, so his pelt paid the price for that. however, despite the fact that he likes to mess with his clanmates, he has a fierce loyalty to his clan and won't hesitate to do anything for it, even if that means killing.

while reedstrike can be impulsive and quick to the jump, that's because he's rather passionate, really about everything. he's passionate about fighting, pranking cats, catching fish, even when he had to clean the dirtplace or gather moss for the elders because of the many times he got into trouble as an apprentice. he almost never regrets getting in trouble, btw. reed can also get jealous at times, whether it's over a clanmate or a promotion, but would never undermine another to get what he wants, he's more upfront than that and instead prefers to either ignore his problems or tackle them (literally) like a totally sane person.

i personally love enemies to lovers and that might just be me, but that's why i'm so interested in this plot aaa! from what i've read up on bronzeshine, she seems like a firecracker and i can't wait for them to interact + i think it would be so fun for them to constantly prod at eachother and make fun of eachother, especially about how they behaved when they were younger and i really like the idea that they have resentment built up from the on and off thing, and i'm excited to explore that and see where this goes!

FREE-SPIRITED. in her prime, Mistybird was a nomad in spirit. Careless fun built the foundation of her reputation, it was difficult to see her ever taking anything too seriously.
TWO-FACED. face-to-face, Mistybird wouldn’t let herself be seen as anything but a darling. Sweet-toned and peppy, she was anything but as soon as you turned your back.
CHARMER. words came easy to Mistybirds tongue, and coupled with a brilliant smile, flowed effortlessly from her jaws tinged with a peachy southern accent.
STUCK IN THE MIRROR. A lilac fur strand would never be caught out of place, the lavish mane that spills around her shoulders was always smoothed to silky perfection- but this polished appearance did not come without the work. Hours of her day were often spent carefully procuring her image, her attention stuck on her reflection until she deemed herself perfect.

AGED LIKE A FINE WINE. With age eventually came maturity, the greying around her muzzle softening the harsher edges of Mistybirds personality. As seniority rapidly approached, genuinity blossomed, and the almost sickening sweetness she laced into every fiber of her being soon shifted to something endearing, real.
MOTHER BEAR. if there is one thing that gramma don’t play about, it is the well-being of her clans youth. While Mistybird never had children of her own, the clan’s kits all mean the world to her. When she isn’t lounging at the rivers shore, much of her downtime is spent bringing shells, stories, flowers, and other gifts to the kits.
HOT & COLD. despite Mistybird’s nonchalant and playful attitude, she is incredibly picky, whether it be about prey, her favorite color, or her favorite spot to sun- but her choices are far from reliable. Liable to change at the drop of a leaf.

General personality: Down to earth, laid back, non-confrontational, simple, genuine, sincere. Goes with the flow usually, but empathizes with the captured cats enough to help them home. Bit of a wild streak, a bit indifferent towards her Twolegs.

History (optional, just for flavor so we know more about your kitty<3): Nutmeg had a pretty rough early life - born to a stray and taken in at a young age, she was separated from her family as soon as her feral nature waned off, as most kittens are. She was raised by a couple of Twolegs with an affinity for travel, and has seen all kinds of sights in the past couple of years, alongside an older cat (not yet named) and a dog that she frequently butts heads with.
Despite her gratefulness for her Twolegs' hospitality and the older cat who helped raise her, Nutmeg generally feels unattached to them and has always had a longing for the outdoors, desiring something more than just the short-lived freedom that comes with each travel, something that her roommates do not share. Feeling generally misunderstood, she shows a keen interest in the captured RiverClanners and takes miserable states, discovering that she feels a similar sense of unbelonging with Twolegs - with this understanding and kinship, she will help the RiverClanners escape, and readily accept an invitation to join them and leave her old life behind.

Name: Cato
Age: 40 Moons
General personality: Cato is a laidback albeit curious soul. He's adventurous, helpful, and a little odd at times. Strongly loyal to his twolegs but curious in the clans.
Will they be joining RiverClan?: It's unlikely but would be open to seeing how things played out plot wise
Do you have an active OC in RiverClan already?: Yes - Shimmerkit
History (optional, just for flavor so we know more about your kitty<3): Cato is a black and white tom cat, his mother the family pet, and father an unknown sire. One of five initially Cato watched his siblings get taken away one by one until it was just him and his mother left - though his sister moved into the he twoleg nest next door so they still see each other frequently. Cato travels with his twolegs often and has been to the mountains and a few beaches, remembering these journeys with fondness and awe.

Cato is considered an indoor cat and tends to go outside only on his harness. He is allowed outside in their fenced garden independently but usually under supervision and is trusted enough to come to his name. Cato has heard rumours of the clans and whilst intrigued by them would not be interested in joining unless something really caught his interest. He would be willing to help the captured RiverClan cats seeing how distressed or uncomfortable they were.
