INTRODUCTION ☘

Hello, welcome to SkyClan’s mass adopt thread! If you’re looking to get into SkyClan and want played family or connections, this is the place to look! Please read the instructions in the adopt thread and the adopt itself so you’re aware of all contingencies, and submit a form below indicating which you’d like to adopt! If you are already in SkyClan and are looking to adopt out connections, our sign-up link is here.

✧ This is first come, first serve as long as all requirements are met in the adopts, including names, genetics, gender specifics, etc. If they are not, I will let you know and give you a chance to change it before accepting it!

A group of kits born to loving kittypet parents, these kits were given their first names by their twolegs not their parents as is tradition in their family - only being told apart by their respective white markings and eye colors. They may or may not recognize eachother right away due to this and the amount time spent apart, but I would very much like for them to all realize at some point or another!

1. Your characters will be newcomers to Skyclan. You have the option to backwrite their arrival, having followed after Dog, and must adhere to Skyclan's newest law on joiners. Please refer to this link
2. They will be required to take part in the warrior-training program like Dog and eventually become full warriors.
3. Given their upbringing, your characters should possess a rugged appearance. Raised in a two-leg alleyway, they often bear the scars of territorial disputes that result in violence or death.
4. Your characters can have varying degrees of closeness or distance from Dog. They didn't spend much of their early lives together, having grown old enough to venture on their own by the time Dog was born. A potential plot point could involve their quest to find Dog after their mother's untimely death from an unknown illness, driven by the need for answers.
5. They can also include living with two-legs at a few points in their lives like Dog or leave it out completely.
6. Feel free to give your characters complicated or happier perspectives on life, and these views can influence their name choices, styles, and more.
7. Their mother was loving, but their father was neglectful and disappeared after Dog's birth. He was absent from all of their lives.
8. You have creative freedom in choosing their names, genders, stories, looks (as long as they follow genetics), and personalities.
9. If your character is non-albino and has white in their pelt - they can share the trait of heterochromia with Dog which are yellow and blue.

Appearance: short haired blue tabby with no white
Personality: stormy is a flirt, lets get that out of the way. He does it to mess around with cats in a playful way, but also to see who is interested in him. with cats that aren't interested, but don't make it clear he will push a few more times before stopping entirely with said cat. he will end up teasing everyone else. for cats that are interested it's full steam ahead is quite relentless. The fact of the matter is if Stormy sees something he wants he will try everything to get it, even if foul play is used. another thing to note is that he doesn't know where to draw the line with his words because he's used to harsh jokes and mocking. it's normalized for him to point out something a cat is sensitive about and use it as a compliment, unaware of how condescending that actually is. Stormy holds his cards close, since he can't trust anyone completely unless they prove themselves to him. he may appear as if he trusts his companions and kind towards them, but it is more so to keep appearances and to wait and see if the cat in question is allowed access to more private parts of himself. Those he considers worthy will receive the outmost loyalty and care. He is the type of toms who will die for those he cares about, but again that's after a long process of distance from him. Some have left him because he refuses to open up after a long time of knowing each other. He doesn't want to admit in those cases it does sting, but he shoves those feelings down and chases someone or something else that won't make him feel lonely.
Backstory: A rogue who frequents the twoleg place for food from twolegs and to seek company from cats that roam the place. Although he does get chased and attacked by other cats over food often, and like most he tries his best to avoid having to end up at the shelter. He met Chiara one day by chance. The reality was that he was running from a dog that he ended up on her yard. Stunned by her beauty he started charming her with sweet words and stories. She falls for him, which he is aware of. However, he notices that wants to settle with him and he very much doesn't feel ready for it. It freaks him out and he ends up at another kittypet's house. This she-cat listens to his woes and convinces him to leave Chiara. She tells him that she would like to be mates with him, but they don't have to settle and that they are free to have more mates. He feels free and accepts her proposition. He doesn't see Chiara and purposely avoids her because he doesn't want to feel guilt or stress from having left her so suddenly.
Other notes: i don't think so? actually would blazestar accept rogues? i have an idea but maybe i'll ask over in skyclan discord about it, or i can change it to him being a loner or kittypet if that's more realistic?

Name: Storm, but upon joining SkyClan will adopt the name Happypaw
Relations: Older half-brother to Pearlpaw
Age: 9 moons
Gender: male
Appearance: lh black with low white and green eyes; initially named after darkened storm clouds, his coat is reminiscent of angered clouds with only one patch of white to break up the inky puffball tom. The patch of white is crescent shaped on his chest, almost like a smile, which will lend itself to his new name.
Personality: He is incredibly family oriented and loyal. Losing Pearlpaw sent him into a spiral since she was someone he cared deeply for and felt was his only true family after the loss of his father and the emotional distance his mother created. When he feels at peace he is an incredibly happy and optimistic soul; when troubled he self-isolates and takes on a more pessimistic world view.
Backstory: Storm begrudgingly lived on the streets with his family until he grew tired of his mother's mate and losing Pearl was the last straw. After her disappearance he vowed to set out on his own and search tirelessly for her. Potentially he drifted in and out of some rogue groups, eventually learning about SkyClan and wondering if that is where his sister ended up. At the time of his joining he will not know she is in SkyClan, he merely goes there on a hope and a prayer and will miraculously be reunited with his beloved sister. The joy he feels prompts him to change his name from Storm (a name he feels has negative connotations) to Happypaw.
Other notes: My 2 year old daughter calls half moons "happy moons" and I am obsessed with that and think Happymoon would make a really cute warrior name, hence the name change from Storm to Happypaw. I'm also completely open to adjusting things with his backstory. I simply think this is a really fun adopt and I adore building sibling relationships.

Blazestar would accept him conditionally if he does not present as threatening or hostile and if he passes the Clan loyalty tests! As long as you understand those terms per Blazestar's new rules, he is accepted!

Relations: NPC parents (mother: dead, father: absent), Dog (younger sibling), other siblings (unfamiliar with)

Gender: She/her (trans female)
Appearance: Short-haired black she-cat with a spot on her belly and one white toe. She has heterochromia with yellow and blue eyes. She has several scars on her body and face, is missing whiskers, and has torn ears.
Personality & Backstory:
+ Shrewd, patient
/ Proud, reserved, practical, focused
- Jealous, aggressive, stubborn

Crescent has a strong sense of self and what she can, will, and won't handle. These boundaries were learned through a life full of struggle where mistakes were heavily punished, so Crescent does not bend easily. She tucks away little suggestions, outright orders, and spare rumors to create a library of information that she draws from when making decisions. As such, Crescent tends to appear very still before darting forward with whatever she has decided is the best course of action. She has been primarily solitary her entire life, making her incredibly self-reliant and defensive towards any offered aid.

She guards what she has determined to be "hers" with passion. This can lead to possessiveness towards other beings and has gotten her into many, many fights with both allies and enemies. Rather than attempt to learn to share or set healthy social boundaries, Crescent turned inwards, becoming very reluctant to attach to anything or anyone.

An exception to this was her mother. Crescent left home when she was young after a - in retrospect - minor spat with her mother. She became fearful of returning home and instead returned every once in a while to check on her without notifying her mother of her visit. They spoke maybe 3 times after Crescent became independent, and those conversations stopped when Dog was born. Crescent figured that her mother didn't need her anymore. She visited maybe every few seasons, often less.

Then her mother died and Dog disappeared.

Wracked with guilt, grief, and rage, Crescent left her solitary life of fighting for scraps on the streets to track down Dog. Her famous possessiveness had kicked in, and Crescent would never let distance and time get in the way of her family again. Dog had attached himself to SkyClan, which Crescent found immensely distasteful, but she kept such thoughts to herself and joined as well.

Now Crescent must learn the ways of a Clan warrior and adopt their code as her own... or decide if she's going to leave another family member behind.

Name: Cocoshine
Relations: NPC parents (i think!) and Momowhisker as a brother
Age: 19 moons
Gender: female
Appearance: Blue tortoiseshell point Oriental Shorthair with light blue eyes. As are the traits of her breed, she is tall and slender and very angular.
Personality: For most that are just getting to know Coco, they might think that she's very outgoing and friendly, but for those who know her on a deeper level they understand that she's extremely shallow and gleans a lot of purpose off of others' image of her. Even if she thinks that she's better than most, a lot of her self-worth is based on what the majority think of her. Though her words and tone might seem outwardly bubbly, she can often be condescending in a way that you might not realize unless you're really thinking hard about it. She is easy to get along with on a surface level, but not so easy to get to know in a true sense.

Despite these things, Coco is a hard worker. She does eventually end up joining SkyClan full-time and leaving her part-time (lol) job as a kittypet. She often overcompensates and is known to get bogged down in her own perfectionism. For some this is extremely annoying, and for others they see it as her being a valuable asset to the clan. She certainly earns her keep in SkyClan, and she eventually learns that there is some merit to be had as a warrior and that they aren't just dirty, feral creatures of the forest.

Backstory: Cocoshine joins SkyClan after her brother. Though she is eventually disgusted by his affiliation with "dirty forest cats", she realizes how much positive attention he's getting and begins to feel jealous of him. She swallows her pride as best as she can and decides to join in on his daylight activities, even if she thinks they are depraved and stupid. She resents him deeply for many months following, even after she's settled into SkyClan.
Other notes: I will likely have Coco be a full-time warrior; an ego thing because she can't get over herself. (I read through the SkyClan guide and am willing to play out the joining process ICly!)

Once a rather pretty brown smoked molly, Circe is unnaturally lithe. She has an oddly muscular and feminie build and small paws.
Personality:
Rat is riddeled with anxiety, though she attempts to put on a brave face.

Backstory:
She always made a point to be kind and attempted to mediate any issues between her parents and siblings. Despite her young age, Rat - then Circe - took it upon herself to soothe her siblings and give them a safe space. She would often tell her siblings wonderous, made-up stories of anything and everything to get their minds off the cruel words her parents said. At some point, or maybe always, she began to truly believe in these stories. That the world was a wonderous place and that her parents meant no harm. That she and her siblings were taking things to seriously. She was hopeful for the days that she would get adopted. She thought that Two-Legs would be kind enough to keep the litter together.
Adoption day came, and she was adopted without her other siblings. It was clear to her that she was adopted for her pretty coat, as she was taken to competitions to show off said coat. The lights and the noise and the snide comments for other cats, both in the competitons and in her new Two Leg's homes built over the moons. Circe began to believe that if she was truly the prettiest, most well behaved cat she would be accepted. So she bagan to clean herself. And clean herself. And clean herself until her fur came out and didn't come back. Her Two Legs took her to a new place, a vet, who gave Circe some tablets. But the tablets only worked for so long before her Two Legs just dumped her on the side of a road.
Tired, Circe half hearted wandered around before finding Sky Clan.

At some point, or maybe always, she began to truly believe in these stories. That the world was a wonderous place and that her parents meant no harm. That she and her siblings were taking things to seriously. She was hopeful for the days that she would get adopted. She thought that Two-Legs would be kind enough to keep the litter together.
Adoption day came, and she was adopted without her other siblings. It was clear to her that she was adopted for her pretty coat, as she was taken to competitions to show off said coat. The lights and the noise and the snide comments for other cats, both in the competitons and in her new Two Leg's homes built over the moons. Circe began to believe that if she was truly the prettiest, most well behaved cat she would be accepted. So she bagan to clean herself. And clean herself. And clean herself until her fur came out and didn't come back. Her Two Legs took her to a new place, a vet, who gave Circe some tablets. But the tablets only worked for so long before her Two Legs just dumped her on the side of a road.
Tired, Circe half hearted wandered around before finding Sky Clan.

Name: bear

Relations: older sibling to dogbite

Age: 38 moons

Gender: male, he/him

Appearance: very scrawny, however during with time with the clan he will grow quite big when fed decently. often disheveled with big, mournful eyes, scarred from various violent encounters, most notably a scar just above his nose. longhaired cinnamon silver tabby, looks like premade 2.

Personality: fearful and boisterous, he will be one to snap first, even in an uncalled for situation, prone to misunderstanding. he's intensely protective of his own wellbeing, the need for survival spurring some moments he is not proud of. as a result of his life he is often fearful, and as such temperamental to protect himself.

although he can be vicious when feeling threatened and occasionally bad tempered, when in good humor he is a huge softie. a bit of a product of his environment bear can be brutish and uncouth, but despite this he positively delights in clan life. has days where he is more reclusive, and distances himself to family, friends and others, and ill with fear and days where he's feeling more outgoing. he has a tendency to let fear in his life get the better of him.

Backstory: when coming up he is very protective and fierce towards anyone even talking to dog due to the rough life they lived, however even when they spend most of their time when dog has become older, bear has becomes very distant - perhaps creating a divide between them. bear has it in his mind that being around him is dangerous, very used to violent encounters, this mentality persists.

bear has found fending for himself painful, but necessary, often keeping his family out of his ventures to save them from any danger he may encounter. there was a time when bear was very close to their mother, likely distancing himself like with the others in his life and is devastated with her passing. he seeks out dog in a poor state, still in mourning. he has never known a life outside of fending for himself.
