Basic appearance: A pale, cream-hued feline with a rather unremarkable build/height, and overall a bit plain. Eyes are a very light, grayish blue.
Basic personality traits: For all that he blends in fairly well with the background, he isn't shy about making an opinion known. He isn't especially extroverted and prefers smaller gatherings over large crowds, and his sense of humor is often bitter/biting (typically because he uses humor to Censure). Sharply intelligent, but also deeply empathetic.
(Optional) Basic history: He lived a fairly satisfying, contented life with his twolegs, an elderly couple who also owned several other cats. However, when they passed away, their relatives surrendered them all to the shelter— except for Sarsaparilla, who had hidden away in one of the house's overlooked crannies. [wip wip wip] At some point he meets a very feral Avi and despite their many differences, become pretty close. When they're picked up by the shelter, it's accepted that they're a package deal and will have to be adopted together.

Basic appearance: A curly-furred tabby with a coat that seems in turn both a deep, burnt red and golden. He is tall and muscled, though not beyond reason or belief, and has plenty of scarring across his body. His eyes are very dark.
Basic personality traits: Avi is strangely muted. Stony-faced and implacable, he is as unbreakable as the bars of the cage he originated from. Though sharply intelligent beneath his watchful gaze, very rarely does Avi make his opinions or ideas known. In contrast to Sarsaparilla's outspokenly opinionated nature, at a surface level he seems much more likely to go with the flow. His most notable traits in his interactions with others are his endless determination, quiet certainty, and apparent complete lack of humor.
(Optional) Basic history: It is a very long and storied past that brought Avi to Sarsaparilla– or it might have been the other way around, depending on which you asked. In truth, maybe that did not matter at all. It ended the same way: the two of them in a shelter, and twolegs poking, prodding, interfering. Avi has been a complete menace to shelter staff, not allowing them to get close enough or pet him for long. Were he not so obviously attached to the very adoptable Sarsaparilla, he likely would not have made it inside as long as he has. It is certainly for the best that SkyClan ends up where they do when they do.​

Basic appearance: A chocolate tabby with low white and medium length fur. One of his ears flops over due to past ear mites, his tail was cut off at some point in the past, and he was born without his left hindleg. Here

He lived with hisw twolegs nearly up to adulthood, at which point they moved and left him behind. He's been living as a loner ever since. Recently, he was caught and sent to the shelter, and befriended Ivy while bidding his time for a way out.

Basic personality traits: Very playful, thinks she is a fantastic hunter (but hasn't ever caught anything). Has lived a very pampered life, so she has not experienced being hungry, or really anything other than being loved by her twolegs. Very curious about everything, honestly similar to a 22month old kitten
(Optional) Basic history: Nala is the sister to Flamewhisker in Thunderclan. When she was a kitten, she and her two brothers were trapped by twolegs, and taken in to be kittypets. She has lived a stereotypical kitty pet life, and she had believed her sister was dead until accidentally meeting her a few months ago. Since then, she has been adventuring out into the forest more, determined to prove that she isn't just a fat lazy kitty pet...until she was captured again.

After being released, she will want to join Skyclan to get back at her littermate for chasing her away. She will be determined to prove that she is useful

They claim to have been adopted by three different households—the last one sent them back after adopting them for one day, asking for a kitten instead. Ser Pounce was their first name given to the shelter when they were around five months, they were part of a Game of Thrones naming theme. They contracted Feline Immunodeficiency Virus in their first home and are immunocompromised.

Fortnite comes off as a strangely rude, but kind cat. xe insults others, but will willingly give up anything to make sure they're safe and happy. they often act without thinking and trust in their gut, taking situations at surface value. she will do her best to live up to expectations made of her, and will beat herself up even if they aren't realistically accomplishable. she also craves validation, despite denying this thoroughly.
Basic history: she was adopted at a young age and has lived with a college student in a tiny shared house... since he felt really bad about her being cooped up all day while he was at classes, she was given free reign to explore outside! he was really a good owner to her, but she got mistaken as a stray and locked up at the shelter </3

He grew up understanding the world can be cruel and as such he's spent his life with a very 'survival of the fittest' attitude and refusal to let the world push him around.

Basic appearance: A long-haired black smoke with low white and bright yellow eyes.
Basic personality traits: Mellow to the near point of laziness, with a sharp tongue and a penchant for stories, he is just about exactly what you would expect of any old man. Everything is back in my day and when I was out there. But despite his frightening tales and spicy vocabulary, Mouser is a surprisingly gentle soul. He takes pride in living as long as he has, and wants to make sure that nobody else makes the foolish mistakes he did. He's the grandpa you never knew you needed.
(Optional) Basic history: A lot of life can fit in a dozen years, and Mouser has packed it full. He has been a kittypet, a loner, and something in between, roaming the twolegplace at his own whim as a youth. For many years, he was lucky. Life was easy. Disaster struck the way that it always does– with a quick one-two. First, illness struck his family. They left him with a neighbor whom they trusted to care for him, but they were a busy family, and careless with their love. The children that had adored him for months soon lost interest, and the parents were too busy to take up his care. He was left lonely, and more often than not hungry as well. He took care of himself as best he could; they never even noticed when he stopped coming home.

It was shortly after that Mouser was struck by a car. It was a tragedy, of course, but in a way he was lucky. The twoleg had a heart in places some others would not. They rushed the stray cat to the veterinarian and paid for his surgeries. After that, though...well, they had too many pets at home, and nobody wanted the needy cat with a missing paw. Instead, he remained as a veterinary cat until an incident with a separate patient sent Mouser scampering out the door. Though they searched far and wide, they did not find their beloved cat. A loner once more, the tomcat remained one with his lonely existence until he came to this very shelter, where he has remained for the short year since.​

He is optimistic and always tries to cheer up those around him, even when things are rough. He's lightning on his feet, which works perfectly in his favor when evading claws and jaws. He is also a pacifist and hates fighting, and never fights to kill. He will try to talk the enemy out of a fight, and usually gets beaten up anyways.
