CLAYTHORN X OTTERBITE​

• Note: There is a tag warning in place for some misogyny surrounding Claythorn and Otterbite's relationship. There is no SA happening.
  
  THEIR STORY: Claythorn comes from a not-so-rich blooded line. Born to a rogue, of which was later known as a Red Water Rogue, she was tossed into the wilds at a young aged and expected to defend herself, or die. Defend herself she did- with a long history on the outside of clan life, she eventually was taking in by the Ripple Colony. Nurtured back to a healed state, she lived with them for barely a full moon before the Ripple Colony joined Riverclan, where she came face to face with social issues aplenty. The biggest issue came when the Red Water Rogues invaded.
  
  Otterbite isn't clan-born either, but given to Riverclan at a young age by his parents, was nurtured and taught into a full Riverclan warrior. He speaks in bold strokes and confident glares, sharp-tongued, never pulling a punch. While both were in the age of apprenticeship and placed on patrol, Moonpaw strayed far and was attacked. Otterpaw found her first- Claypaw and Beepaw next. Who stood above both and was poised to attack Moonpaw and Otterpaw, but Claypaw's own mother?
  
  Claypaw murdered her mother that day- all three bore witness. While the now warrior and fully realized medicine cat Beefang and Moonbeam respectively never spoke upon it, Otterbite was deeply curious about it. In exchange for her secret not being told, she was tasked with finding him a girlfriend. Claypaw had asked Brookstorm- who suggested that Claythorn take the spot instead. Stewing upon it, she agreed with the reasoning and asked Otterbite if they could be mates instead. That is how they came to be.
  
  Note: Claythorn WILL struggle being a good parent, especially while trying to appease Otterbite. Just something to keep in mind!

  — Applications are free-form, but they are not first come first serve. Please include at least the basics! Name, gender, appearance, etc.

  — The kits will be born on August 26th.
  — The kits will be born, then timeskip to 2 moons old once the birth thread is completed, and age realistically on the 26th of every month!
  — We are looking for at least 5 posts a month, though more is always encouraged.

• THE SYNOPSIS: Sparrowkit is nothing if not driven. A tiny scrap of black and gold, she strives to make herself the most capable cat in a room, usually with the help of her intense intellect. She is a strategizer and most certainly a force to be reckoned with — but intelligence does not a good clanmate make. Sparrowkit is intensely solitary, even from her own family and siblings. She loves them deeply, and so feels very responsible for their health, safety, and happiness. But that does not mean she is warm; rather, she is studious in her efforts to constantly protect. This feeling extends to whatever friends Sparrowkit makes, though friends may come few and far between. She often sees her peers as rivals first and equals second, as if other kits could threaten her place in her own family and Clan. As she grows, she will become enchanted with StarClan and strive to bring their favor to her family. One of Dark-kit's most dominant, and perhaps his worst, personality traits is his hot-headedness. He can be rational, but usually he's quick to anger and doesn't think before speaking or acting. He can be very easily annoyed, and reacts strongly in most situations. It is easy to set him off, and difficult to calm him down. He may become aggressive when provoked, and can be known to antagonize others or start fights when his emotions are high. He can also be quick to pass judgment, and is less quick to admit when he's wrong or change his mind once its made up.

In contrast to Dark-kit's hot-headedness, and perhaps the cause behind it, he tends to be very overprotective; though he tries to pretend as if he couldn't care less. One of the main reasons he can be so emotionally volatile is because he has high standards and morals, and cares greatly about whether or not they are upheld, not only by himself but by others as well. He also does develop deep attachments to his friends, and especially his family. He would do anything to keep them safe and happy, and one of the easiest ways to anger him is to hurt someone he's close to.

As one could probably imagine, Dark-kit can be pretty reckless. When he's riled up, he doesn't think before he acts, and often gets himself into sticky situations by jumping in headfirst. His solution to most conflicts is to fight first, think later, whether that be verbal or physical attacks. He follows his gut and when he feels something is wrong, he won't hesitate to correct it, regardless of the consequences.

Although many of his attributes paint him as a grumpy troublemaker, no one can doubt Dark-kit's bravery. When he feels something needs done he does it, without thought to his own safety or how dangerous it may be. Some will call it stupidity, but he's not afraid to do what is right, especially when it involves his own morals or beliefs. He does his best to use his bravery as an asset for his clan, and is almost always the first to volunteer himself to lend a helping paw (though he may still complain while he does).

Above all else, Dark-kit believes in honor and loyalty. Once he aligns himself with someone or something, he will do his utmost for them. He is always serious in his duties to his clan, and even more so to his friends and family. He has also been known to openly antagonize anyone he deems to be unjust or weak in their efforts to benefit the clan. His devotion goes both ways, and he expects anyone close to him to provide him with the same loyalty as he provides them. Any level of betrayal towards him will be taken very personally, and he is not one to forgive and forget.

even as a kit, sparrownose was one of the smallest in her litter. she was born last and was considered a runt, sickly and unable to really fend for herself. but, with time, she would heal from this sickly state of being and when she is old enough to be apprenticed she will be overjoyed to learn that her apprentice ceremony will not be delayed due to her ailments.​
